Quick Question about screen fading.

In previous version of RPG Maker they had an option to fade the screen. I want to make my opening for my game look better...but I can't find a way to fade the screen. Can anyone help me?

In the commands list, second page, "Change Screen Color Tone". You can set the time in frames for the screen tone to change. So what you want to do it set it to black, and 0 frames. This will make the screen black right away. Then set another command where it changes to normal in however many frames you want. This creates the effect of fading in from black. Make sure you use "Parallel Process" as a trigger.

Actually, if you use parallel process with fade on frames 0, you will get a very brief flicker of the full screen. i recommend using auto start
