What the Terrabyte???!?!?

Well, I have come into an issue in RPG Maker VX Ace that has been the only problem I can not get around. It used to be in the past whenever I wanted to save my game, that the program would freeze for about half a minute to save, to pop up a message saying I needed 93MB to save the game to steam cloud, but I only had 60MB, clear your blah blah blah.

 

I ignored it because it wasn't a big problem, half a minute wasn't a long wait. But earlier today, I tried to save my game after importing like 4-6 scripts, and building like 3 maps. The game took around 5 minutes to save, which I found really weird. But when the error message showed up, I got this:

 

 

What the... Terrabyte??? How even- Lik- I don't- Who? What? Where When Why? How?

 

Could anyone explain to me what I'm looking at, and how to prevent it, because I would like to not receive these messages after 5 minutes of trying to save my game, thank you.

TB is a tiny byte. 1024 tiny bytes = 1 mini byte(MB) so you are just over your space limit. id suggest removing 1 resource to free up enough tiny bytes. Totally kidding BTW, i know what a TB is XD.

 

My best advice is to not use steam cloud for any game making program and rely on good old USB backup or upload it to googledrive/mega/box thingy, etc....

I personally have steam cloud disabled completely because its annoying.

^ Agree with Pol. Even without the storage limit, its still quite inefficient. 

 

In additional to cloud backups, you may want to look at a backup script to protect your files, eg http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts/rpg-maker-vx/system-enhancements/auto-backup

Sorry for the late reply, i was ZZing.

You go to your properties for RMVXA, updates, then uncheck the enable steam cloud. Mines grayed out because i disabled it globally for every thing.

Thank you very much, I prefer to use One Drive when it comes to this stuff, for it makes it 8000000000000x easier for me to go on multiple computers to work on my project.

 

Now I'm looking forward to an extra half hour of my day not waiting for a dam game to save, just so I can spend 2 seconds on the actual game to see if something works.
