EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 So...my Mom comes home today with this paper...it talks about how it is now against the law to discriminate against the LGBT community... So I'm all happy about it and stuff, though trying to hide it from my parents, and they're sitting here shouting about the evils of gay and transsexual people! They are doing this, of course, 2 inches away from me...I kid you not...Dad gets out of his chair and walks into the kitchen so that Mom and Dad can talk about this in front of me... So, I'm listening, and Dad is talking about how it is a violation of God's Word to make that a law...I'm thinking "isn't it a violation of God's Word to NOT accept them? Didn't Pastor preach a month long sermon on how we are supposed to accept people wherever they are? Didn't Pastor specifically say 'This means even the homosexuals, transsexuals, and others in that similar situation' during the preaching? It's obvious Mom and Dad don't listen to Pastor." I kept my mouth shut, and kept saying "Don't shout, Emily, don't shout at them" over and over in my head...I had to...otherwise I would have shouted out right then in there what they were doing...it makes me so mad! So...all in all...score one more point on the "My parents are going to disown me as soon as I transition" board...this makes about 20 for that particular system and 0 for the "My parents will accept me" score... Yeap...definitely sounds like I'm getting disowned in a year or two...
Maph 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 No offense, but I think your parents are horrible people. If I could, I'd use the power of my 1000 topic to rally you 1000 supporters. I think this deserves a facebook group.
Leon 55 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 "Judge lest ye be judged." "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." First off, the only being who should reserve judgement is the Lord Almightly, and secondly, your parents cant tell people who are sinning what to do if they themselves sin. "Tell me I'm a sinner, I got news for you. I spoke to God this morning and he don't like you." A more modern way of that first quote. (Gotta love Ozzy.) EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 XD I have to laugh at that last comment, Leon. It's true, though. Call me a sinner, and I've got news for you, you are too. "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" you know? Sorry...but "Accept others as they are, for if it is wrong, God will deal with them." wickedsunny 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 You are Right Emily Theres no escape from God's law. What we sow is what we reap. so our actions come back to us, whether we do good or bad, they both will bring us back in this world and make us suffer, maybe born in a family where our parents keep opposing to our wishes, just like in your case, (which particular wish? that does not matter.) remember this world is run by the law of attraction - what you desire is what you get, sooner or later and that you is not your body of flesh and bones, its the real you inside, your conscience as the body is perishable and will get buried in the grave at the end, with all the 5 senses. God gave us limited choices, you do what you want to, but do not blame your parents, because they are as right as you are in your way of thinking.. at the end all of us have very limited perception of ourselves. Maph 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 First, please pay attention to the post dates before posting, as that was a necro-post (barely). Secondly, please do not spout that babble about the law of attraction. It's up to you to believe in it, but don't go around acting like everyone believes the same things you do. Good day. Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Honestly Maph, I don't believe in what Sunny said but I'm not going to tell him not to say it. Me I believe in no God, but I am open to the fact others do and I won't get mad at them for saying what they think.
wickedsunny 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Thanks Wyzrd for the support. Its ok, I do not expect anybody to believe me because people should only believe when they have practical experience in life. Without experience belief can be false and one sided. Maph 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Well I've been a forum goer for many MANY years on any kind of forum you can think of, and if there's one thing I know it's that bringing up one's own beliefs tends to destroy a topic, and get a lot of hurt feelings all around. It wasn't so much what you said as the way you said it. It was the "remember this world is run by the law of attraction" bit. I'm perfectly fine with you believing what you want, and even communicating that belief, but please try and refrain from sounding like everyone believes the same things you do, because THAT can be dangerous. I should have you know that I'm not particularly against "the law of attraction". You would've gotten a similar reaction regardless of the belief you pushed in your post, including an aethiest view (remember there is no god that runs this world etc etc.). So don't feel like I'm attacking your beliefs specifically.
wickedsunny 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Its ok Maph I am a person who saysthings which I have experienced personally because reading, believing and talking doesn't teach, only practical experience teaches. I only wrote what I had experienced and I am not afraid to mention it anywhere , even if someone be-heads me for saying it because I am not saying something which I have read in books or learned from people, but experienced it first hand. My intention was not to hurt anyone, just gave my opinion. Also do not think that I will not mention it again if need be, just because you or someone else did not like it. I am not afraid of anything, not even death.
Maph 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2008 Oi. It's not that you shouldn't mention it, or I didn't like it, but it's probably not the best idea to state it as a matter of fact. That's all.
EmilyAnnCoons 7 Report post Posted April 12, 2008 ANYWAY, let's stop this now...it's about to turn into e-drama if it continues at this rate, which is against the rules, by the way...I'd like to mention that anyone can say ANYTHING they want...it is their belief, and so I will not yell at them for that, so please do not do the same. I don't mind what he said, or how he said it. If you don't believe it (I'm gonna sound really mean when I say this), then fine, don't believe it, but also don't yell at people because you don't believe it... I, myself, am not a Christian...I am tired of Christians and have gone my own path...I do not call myself a Christian, but that does not mean I do not follow God. I believe in God -nods- However, what I also believe is that his people don't want him to suffer. If that's true, then I am going to end my suffering by dealing with it how I feel is right, that being a sex change... Anyway, this topic is old and no longer needed. It will be closed now.
