wickedsunny 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Hi guys. I am new here, but I am already learning VX I have created a small map till now, but within 2 days the progress I have done with this software is much quicker then any other game creators I have checked before. I am very bad with programming, the reason why I always get stuck with my games but this software is amazing, ease of use is great. Yaksha will be loosely based on my comic Yaksha - lost city of Kubera. It is on Indian mythology. You can download my comic for free at www.yakshacomics.com/comics What I am thinking is to create short game series on my comics, a game with about 8- 10 maps, with a 4- 5 different areas within one map and with about 50 different quests. This will make it easier to create, faster and cheaper then most of games out there. Next game will follow the story forward and have new quests and new maps but also previous game maps as well when required in the story. It would be great full if someone could help me out if I get stuck with programming part. In the long run I would love to work in partnership with few good designers and programmers here so that Rpg maker can be used to create finished polished games. I am already creating silverlight games in partnership with a programmer. Hopefully someone can help me regarding the xp side view battle system scripts converted for vx. Your names will go in the credits but most importantly I will find few of you with whom I can create long term relations and create top quality games. I will give a brief introduction of story soon. Heres what i have created till now, hopefully with time I will learn to use tiles better. I just hate the mountains in VX, maybe I will use the xp mountains. More screenshots here Here are my screenshots of the first map I created- Its a huge map, with many areas within one map - I hope that won't lag my final .exe :)

Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 I must say, your mapping isn't bad for a newbie. And I love your map designs, they're pretty good. As far as programming goes, if you have any questions as far as eventing goes, feel free to ask. You can catch me on AIM, send me a PM, or ask me here, it's whatever.
