I am creating a snow map (for the contest) and my game, what I want is when my character walks on snow tile, it leaves foot print on ice one tile behind it, which is a separate tile as shown in screenshot, one for left and right and one for down and up, depending upon the direction.
Also after walking 6 tiles, the first footprint fades away, 7 tile 2nd footprint fades aways etc, thus not spoiling the map and so on.
I am using VX but I believe the logic will be similar as in xp.
