Marked 197 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 I only just remembered that it was 2 years ago I started RMXP Unlimited. It was in fact May 8th 2006 that RMXP Unlimited was created. I'm making this post in the cafe because it's not the official 2 year birthday of this forum(as my join date was october 06), but we did move from free forum hosting. I am really surprised this site has lasted up to this long. It's something I find particularly amazing considering how we started out, how active we were, months of downtime etc. I find it hard to think of problems we haven't yet encountered. But we are here and doing better than ever before. One particular member comes to mind when I think of days of RPGXP Unlimited(the invisionfree version of RMXP Unlimited), and that is of course Emily_Konichi. From your old Profile, you have been with us from the very beginning. 2 years. Okay now time for a bit of history: As you can see in my profile, I created this forum in early october. A few days after that, the forum went down until late december(and in between came RMXP Ultimate), so there was nearly three months of downtime. In that time it was in the end Emily who inspired me to get the forum up and running again. If it wasn't for Emily, none of us would be here now. So this topic is dedicated to you Emily. We made it 2 years, and lets see if we can stretch that just a little bit longer.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 I'm pretty sure we can survive much longer. We've made it this far and it seems like more people are joining and becoming active in our site.

Leon 55 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 This will last. I may not be around as much, but that is because I am the curse. (lol) I am still stirring up trouble here and there, so don't think you have rid yourself of me yet.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 No matter the trouble we can never rid you leon
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 The site is getting more active. Kind of like Crankeyes/RMRK, it started the same way. We may be one of the bigshots eventually.
RMXPirate 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 This forum will soon be like rmxp.org, it will take time but i know it will. Considering the amount of members we have there is a lot of activity even if everyday it doesn't look like there is!
isaacsol 10 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 I'd rather it be like the Creation Asylum then RMXP.org, the staff can be very rude on RMXP.org but the staff on the CA are friendly.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted May 14, 2008 I don't know. I've never used CA or RMXP.org but I've heard the staff on CA can be uptight too.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Yeah, I had a run in with SephirothSpawn once on CA, I was being a jerk, but I still think he was a bit in the wrong.

Maph 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 Wow. Two whole years. Just look at what we've accomplished...
Marked 197 Report post Posted May 23, 2008 Theoretically I cannot shut down the forums. Unless I pay back all the life-time subscribers(currently we have 1). Subscribers pay for subscriptions so it is my job to keep the forum up and running so they are receiving the service they payed for. Wow. Two whole years. Just look at what we've accomplished... I think we have definitely accomplished the most in the months of this year. Didn't we have a lot dramas though? A year ago I had disappeared. Then along came Noob Saibot. Who in the end decided we were not active enough for him to keep the forum hosted, so he basically deleted it. From there the forum came back to life through a database backup I had and my hosting account. From that point we have been able to control any dramas and keep things consistent. As a result we have almost tripled registrations and doubled post-count since that restoration of the forum. My job now is to ensure a decent amount of traffic flow comes to the site, and also make sure everything runs just as smoothly when I decide to leave. Yeah, I think this place will be around for a while yet. But of course that all depends on the members reading this.
