Spence607 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 With some tiles my character seems to always walk over them. Like the stool and the table for example in the Forest Town Interior. I've tried placing them on layers 2 and 3 and both, but no difference. Are these tiles always like this, or can this be fixed? Any information would be greatly appreciated, since this small matter is really pissing me off.
Leon 55 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Go in the database, under 'Tilesets' and set their passability for O to X
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 You must have screwed up with your pass-ability settings. This is easy to fix. First go to your database at the top of RPG XP, then click on the tilesets tab at the top. From here you can see a list of all your tilesets. Now click on whatever tileset you are using to the left..... Forest Town Interior. Now a screen should show up with the tileset on it, with a bunch of Os and Xs. Look at where ever the stool and table are.Now change the Passage to normal, the Priority to normal, and the Passage(4 direction). To do this, click on the Xs or Os to what you want. Normally the chair is supposed to be Oed because it creates the illusion of the player sitting when on it. But change it to X of you want. NOw for the table, I will post imiges of what it should look like in another post (I ran out of space lol) so set it to how I have it for priority, passage and passage 4 direction. Hope this helps. posting next images... P.S Passage for direction is wether or not a player can move over the tile in a certain direction, priority is wether it can be over the player, like trees and tall objects. ;) :D

Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 First off, for the Table the Tiles should be: |O||O||O| for the top row of tiles of the table |X| |X| |X| for the middle row of tiles |O||O||O| for the bottom row, not all Xs. Then go to four direction passage and make there are NO arrows on the stool. Now for the table's four direction passage, it should be: the left, right, and down arrows SHOWING for the bottom row. For the middle row, no arrows should be showing, and for the top row, the left, up, and right arrows should be SHOWING. This should fix it,if not then you didn't check it properly. Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 What tileset are you using?
Spence607 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 What tileset are you using? I'm using the forest town interior tileset. And Kiriashi I did exactly what you said I can still pass over all stools and all three middle vertical tiles of the table. Now since I changed things I can now pass over the bottom right tile of the table as well.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 7, 2008 here might be the problem. I did this many of times. You might have went over that area with with another blank tile other than the one in the upper left. So go on the layer 3 and go over all the spots that you can go through with the tile in the upper left corner.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Polraudio said what I was about to suggest. Check for different blank tiles on other layers. Sometimes that can mess things.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Oh I've done that before, I always saw that as the problem right away though ;)

I had no idea you're supposed to use the one in the upper left corner, for I have been using random ones. It seems this was the source of the problem. Thank you all for the help.
