My friend is a big Burnout friend, but he didn't like Paradise. He says it's a fail.

Uh..... Fable 2? Halo Wars...?

I doubt GTA4 would even be allowed in the house.

Fable 2, I wouldnt mind that. The storywriter for my game got hooked on it for a long time

I told mom that she should get the Halo series games

Fallout 3 might be on the very edge of possability

and oblivion is supposed to be very pretty

The Xbox has a very large number of good games out there. I'll list a few from the genre I'm into and link you to the Microsoft counterpart.

RPG

Lost Odyssey

This RPG is one to remember for ages. If you're into any final fantasy game, you will love this. Great character -optional- character depth and game play is fun.

Infinite Undiscovery

As fair warning this RPG has a timid main character.

Action

Armored Core 4

This game is a high paced mech combat game. Great fun building and tweaking these things.

Resident Evil 5

This game is a clunky third person action game. It's in essence a shooter, but the story is well developed and how fighting is really not very friendly, I'd throw it here.

-You can turn off mature content-

Strategy

Last Remnant

A great strategy game. You control groups of characters and give them indirect orders as to portray a commander in battle. Be sure to download this to your hard drive as it will reduce issues with any lag while fighting.

FPS

Bioshock

If your into shooters and mystery.. this is a must have. It'll run cheap at the store and will deliver.

Halo 3

The game that made the Xbox. Halo is a base of many FPS games out there.

List of games that have been suggested:

Fable 2 - Amazing game kinda repetitive though

Halo Wars - Not that cool

GTA4- I didn't like it and i doubt you could play it

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion- FRICKEN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fallout 3 - Amazing!!!!!!

My Suggestions

RE5 - Yeah bloody but epic.

LOTR:Conquest - Not bloody and its fun

Guitar Hero World Tour - Awesome

Halo3 - If you own a 360 and don't own this game I will personally beat you to death

Cod4: Fun campaign, epic multi-player

BattleStations:Midway - Fun 3/5

Halo 3 is absolutely (and most probally) the best halo game to have come out so far. In my oppinion, however, is that you play the first halo games to get into the storyline or everything in it will have yourself asking the question "what? who? why? how? when? bananas?"

Halo Wars is pretty mad. The campagin is cool and so are the skirmish's but they get boring after a while. Probally the best thing to do is go on to Xbox live and play. Its a lot better there and it wont get boring as fast.

Oblivion is the BEST GAME ever! I have it for computer, but the graphics card isnt the best so i have to play in low detail. On the xbox 360, however, you get the full graphics. Oblivion is the way to go if you want to get a good game and you dont need to catch onto a storyline because you start a completely new one.

Fallout 3 is another awesome game to get. You make your own storyline so there is a lot of awesome possibilities. I've heard a lot from my friends but only played a little bit. It's pretty cool and what Ive seen my friend do on that game makes me wish I had it.

In my oppinion, its completely up to you, but take the advise of people on the forum because they've (probally) had an Xbox 360 longer than you have and have made the mistakes they wish they could take back. You, on the other hand, havn't yet.

I must admit, I'm not a big 360 fan. But last week when I was in NY my friend had one, now I've played Halo in the past. I have never liked Halo 1 or 2, never played 3 yet. Anyways I played Gears Of War2, I thought it was really good.

Also, Prince Of Persia is good.

I agree Gears of War is much better than Halo.

Bioshock is great too.

I should warn you, since it seems you have restrictions in what you're allowed to get - both these games have minor swearing in them.

Fallout 3 is incredible - basically Oblivion with guns. Both games are awesome in their own right. Not to mention addictive.

Fable 2 is OK, it doesn't have as much playability as any of them above in my opinion, still a good game though.

GTA4 is alright also, though I got bored with it about half-way through.

The Orange Box (Half-life 2, Portal etc.) I haven't played this one yet but everyone raves about it, 5 games in one for £12 - can't go wrong really.

Beautiful Katamari is going cheap now, my friend loves this.

Hope this helps.
