US Government Violations and Mishaps

Recommended Posts

For those who live in the U.S., is it just me, or does it feel like we're slowly but surely slipping into communism?

Tracking our phone records.

Dancing around our first amendent rights.

Making Dollar Coins.

And another thing that angers me is greed and the need for money. For instance they are using nonrenewable resources to make heavy Dollar Coins (?) when they could just put in the extra bucks and make lightweight dollar bills made of renewable resources. I fear they'll just do to metals like we did to oil. Now we're running out of oil, slowly but surely, why not just convert to renewable, enviromentally safe, ethanol? Because it's more expensive.

Jerks.

The lack of freedom is thanks to the Patriot Act, which is due to go away after the Iraqi War. As for the dollar coins, the reason is simple: The blind. You see, many blind people are getting scammed, and they hope dollar coins will help subside that, even if just a little.

I agree with Ark, the goverment is slowly taking over everything we do.

Also, Leon is right about the coins. It's easier for a blind person to be able to tell what a coin is then a dollar bill.

I still don't think it's worth precious resources. The blind should have someone there to help them.

And actually, the Government got better after the Great Depression. Roosevelt was a great president.

I don't see a problem with communism. It's the most fair way to govern a nation. And NO! Not that toltairaism russia/nazi germany thing.

I think the dollar coin is a good idea, in the UK we have the following coins, each a different shape and size:

1p, small and round and thin (p = pence)

2p, large and round and thin, ever so slightly thicker then the 1p

5p, smaller then a 1p, round and ever so slightly thinner then a 1p

10p, larger then a 1p but smaller then a 2p, same thickness as a 5p

20p, slightly smaller then a 10p, heptagonal, same thickness then the 10p

50p, a bit larger then a 2p coin, hexagonal, same thickness as a 5p,10p and 20p

£1, quite thick, larger then a 1p coin, but smaller then the 10p, round,

£2, same thickness as the pound, roughly around twice the size of a pound coin.

After that, we just have the £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes, each have a different design and are a different size (getting bigger with the denomination).

I say no to coins. No offense but I have tried carrying around large amounts of coins before. My pants almost fall off my ass no matter how tight I tightened my belt.

This has been going on for many years now ever since bush came up with the idea after 9-11!! You can blame him for that. But soon the US govt will no longer be free I'm sorry but that's where I see it going unfortunately, I will however have faith and hope it doesnt@
