ProjectTrinity 8 Report post Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) ~Introduction~ Al'asuiaga'ta is a short RPG that is meant to test how well voice overs would integrate into the program RPG Maker XP. As such, I didn't have to make an all-out-game for this. So, players will be starting off right at "the end" of the game. The first three bosses are the last three bosses of the game. From my eyes, I think the integration went well, but that doesn't mean I won't take feedback on what I could make better when I do create a full out game with a fully voiced cast. That's where VAA's gamers come in. As well as testing the solidarity of the overall package, I'm open to suggestions on how I could better implement the voices. (And if in wrong sub-forum, I'm sorry. D= It's rather hard to tell where RMXP "completed" projects go.) ~What you need to play~ - Windows. Unless you know how to make a windows game work on Mac, I'm afraid RPG Maker won't work on your computer. -Everything else is supplied in the zip. ~Download Links~ Mediafire Megaupload (Will upload here via request) ~Sample~ ~Cast~ Jasmin - Tomoyo Ichijouji Obbligato - Soldjango (Gamespot) Pizzicato - Theshadowvoice Kattis - Aziral Jessica - Mewwinxmelody Alana - NikkiKora Vira - Anime-Eye /Sangobabe Edited September 3, 2010 by ProjectTrinity
Enigma 10 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Interesting, I've always wanted to do voice over in rmxp games but I've never really had the resources ... well people to help me out with it... If its not to much trouble could I ask you and your friends to help me do voice overs for Limit at a much later date, not this year because I still need to get it off my hard drive and finish it but, maybe at one point in time? DarkGamer 2 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 I like it. Really nice. Would recommend a better volume for the voices too...they should come out better from the BGM.
rgangsta 43 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 The video is AWESOME! I could feel how tense the characters were when they were fighting. This is real nice. I applaud you.
ProjectTrinity 8 Report post Posted September 2, 2010 Thanks all. I think I need to seriously learn that not everyone loves blasting music when they're trying to hear the, well, script. Sorries. xD;; Interesting, I've always wanted to do voice over in rmxp games but I've never really had the resources ... well people to help me out with it... If its not to much trouble could I ask you and your friends to help me do voice overs for Limit at a much later date, not this year because I still need to get it off my hard drive and finish it but, maybe at one point in time? My group ProjectTrinity is comprised of just over 50 members. Only a handful of them are decent voice actors and even less of them have time to do much extra. ;-; But hopefully by the time your game is finished, we'll all have some time freed up to get you some voice actors. Half the group don't really talk to me. They just...do things for me. ;_; Of course, if you're looking for voice actors outside of my group, that's a rather accessible option as well. =D

ProjectTrinity 8 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 UPDATED: It has come to my attention that the universal opinion of Al'asuaga'ta is that it is brutally hard? Should I patch the game to make it universally easier?
Free To Play 3 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 Voices were good, they had some moments of... overacting... but good nonetheless. The mapping was awful. Sorry, just calling as I see it. Most of the events were oddly placed. Overall, probably a 7/10. But that's just one mans opinion.

Crym 10 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 I have to tell you over all I liked the whole thing, the battle system like that actually works nice, as for the difficulty I got through no problem, there were times when it got more difficult in the 3 major fights, mostly when you hit an hp check mark and they switched stuff up on you, but those revival potion+ and potion+ work wonders to really get you through when either 2 members are dead or when Obbligato is down. As for Obbligato, that was not the best voice acing I ever heard, compared to the rest it just seemed lazy, just my opinion. I do think things were oddly placed though, I ended up running around for a good 10 minutes trying to figure out where to go after beating Pizzicato's crazy stalker. I also think that things started out rough there, though if I was to change anything it would be to make the enemies do slightly slightly less damage and remember damage is supposed to weaken when there's split but the healing items countered that. Would have been nice to have had a few smaller battles scattered about to get some experience to make it easier to prepare. Over all I enjoyed it, was a entertaining yet challenging experience not really to hard but it was hitting the edge between difficult and impossible (right where I like it). Free To Play 3 Report post Posted December 18, 2010 Oh, there was a game I downloaded that used Voiceovers and it was amaizing. It was even a two-parter, about 45-50 hours of gameplay. I don't remember the name. I wish I could so I could tell you you should go to them for advice, since they run an open forum. Which I forgot as well. Sorry. This post is pretty useless... ProjectTrinity 8 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 ^ It does grant me an excuse to bump the thread, though! I love these voice actors. And I double love them because they're always willing to help out in projects that came after this game. <3 <3 <3 Look out for crazy Alana's Voice actor in my next video. :3 (Subscribe to keep track, guyz. xD)
