Inspiration needed!

Hello everyone, I need help.

 

In case you haven't heard, my game is going to be an online Pokemon game. Lately I've been trying to merge RMX-OS and the Pokemon Essentials, which has been causing me some issues. I haven't had a lot of time to work on my game and I am having trouble wanting to put the effort into figuring it out. If anyone has any form of inspiration to get me back into Designer mode, please post!!!

Hey ummm I don't really know what you mean by inspiration but when I just can't be bothered

putting effort into a game I think to myself " When I finish this, I can look back on it and be proud of my accomplishment ". Yeah... well that's just how I see things so I hope that helped :biggrin_002: . Also (being a big pokemon fan myself) I would love to play this game

because it sounds pretty cool :clap:

This would really interest me, I'd seriously love to see something like this actually able to work.

I've been hoping to find a good online Pokemon game for some time but all of them that's been made are either viral, spyware, or been shut down by Nintendo.

 

Hope to see this finished soon, I would definitely play it.

I've seen some pretty crappy pokemon games, so I hope yours is worth playing.

here's some insperation:

"make a pokemon game that people will enjoy, unlike the other amateur pokemon games on the internet."

well, if its ideas your running short on, I'm the guy to ask! I can provide you with a number of ideas, even if they're a bit weak or a bit unusual.

 

I'll think of one now just on the spot:

 

- Create a 'User Pokemon Gallery' where custom designed pokemon by users can be seen. So just say I design a new pokemon (in sketch form even), that design is then added to the 'User Pokemon Gallery' so other players can see it. Then to further create interest tot he gallery, users who have played the game and seen these designs can vote as to whyich one will be implimented into the game (as a patch ad-on thing). I'm not sure how patches work with an rm game

 

- Mini games? So... Pick the correct poke ball out of the 3 and you win a prize OR enter a massive human sized pokeball and it teleports you to a special arena were you battle a random player (enemy not user) - Hope this might inspire you or provide you with inspiration to alter these ideas and possibly form something completely new :)

Another Pokemon game? As if nintendo hasn't come out with more than enough.

 

Escape the box that Pokemon designers have been making for decades. Make the game, if not painfully linear, at least give it two lines. Give the player some other options Post-completion. The whole concept of "gotta catch em all" kinda died with the gameboy. Let them have some storyline, give the game depth. Avenge the death of Pokemon Stadium.

Really need an actual console incarnation of Pokemon. Complete with high-end 1080p resolution, graphics, bad-ass rock/drum&bass remixes of the soundtrack, and cinematic battles. Then. Only then, would the world be ready for a new Pokemon game.

Well, when you strip down the details and look at my point.

 

When people make Pokemanz gaems, they always are sure to get every detail down to make it mimic any legit piece as much as possible.

(Or so I assume) Especially the concept. Get First Pokemon, Badges, Elite Four, WINZ!!!1one!1

 

So it's liek, you are trying to reproduce a game you've played a dozen times already.

 

No wonder you get bored.

 

 

So, why not make it your own?

Make YOUR Pokemon rules.

Your own Pokemon, your own rules, your own concept.

 

Why not make a world where Pokemon duel to the death?

Or don't start it out with some random prof that helps you with your first?

Why not inherit it, or capture it through some other means?

 

And screw getting 8 bit music, look for rock remixes at newgrounds.com!

 

It's your world, do what you want with. Add your own piece to the pokemon universe.
