Crym 10 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) Hey all, time for the all time favorite question of Anime or Graphic Novels. I use the term Graphic Novel as technically Manga is a term specifically stated towards Japanese Graphic Novels which read right to left but, there are several other variations, like Korean Manhwa which reads left to right. Personally I prefer Graphic Novels over all but, it does depend though on if the Anime came first or if it was made from the Graphic Novel. How about favorites? I'd have to say my favorite long running Manga would be Mahou Sensei Negima, starts off slow and kinda like a Shoujo (Manga made for young girls 8-20) but eventually turns into an action packed Shounen (Manga made for young males). The Anime for this Manga however sucked, skipped over 2 arcs and ended up changing the story bluntly with an arc that was never in the actual Manga. Others that are on up there are Black Cat and Bleach. Short list but, for good reasons. For Anime, my favorites would be Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop and Tri-gun. How about everyone else what are your favorites and which do you prefer? Edited December 17, 2010 by Crym
FranklinX 37 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 The only Anime novels I read are MegaMan MegaMix, Megaman NT Warrior, and MegaMan ZX. The comedy in Megamix is hilarious!
laansolo 3 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 I like both...EQUALLY! Although I prefer the Warcraft Korean Manhwa novels. On other graphic novels, I enjoy rave master, hellsing, and full metal alchemist. For anime, I like full metal alchemist, bleach, cowboy bebop, sakura wars (just started the series), disgea, and i was thinking on watching bubblegum crisis. Not sure, though. As if it wasn't already obvious but Megaman super-fan? I like both...EQUALLY! Although I prefer the Warcraft Korean Manhwa novels. I remember Helsing a bit maybe I should give it another flip-through. All good series Cowboy Bebop, I have to say I Ed and Ein are the most awesome duo ever. Crym 10 Report post Posted December 25, 2010 The third choice is "No, Nerd Nerd." IRREGARDLESS. I choose anime. EDIT: Fooley Cooley bitches. 1. I'm quite aware what Otaku is but because of it's tie in with anime and graphic novels it seemed to fit, regardless you do have a point and it is redundant. 2. I love FLCL "The Pillows" is my favorite band. ~Listens to Little Busters~. Also took me 3 times watching the anime to understand what it was about. 3. FLCL is one of the only few anime that broke out of the ordinary and came before the manga, though the manga is still an outstanding piece of work and I highly recommend reading it to anyone who is a FLCL fan. Free To Play 3 Report post Posted December 25, 2010 Well, it does have a really subtle storyline... but I think what pulls people in is it's randomness and it's ability to immediately pull a plot out of thin air.

Yeah, like I said it took me a few times watching to catch the storyline. Still it's an awesome anime, try keeping up with it in raw instead of dubbed goes by way to fast.
