Engagement rings

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I've decided that I'm going to propose to my girlfriend on Valentine's Day, so I've started looking at some rings, and I want to know what you guys think...

1.8 CT. T.W. Ring

1.5 CT. T.W. Ring

Sterling Silver Lab-Created Sapphire Ring

She's already said that she doesn't want diamonds when she gets married, but I think she would like those ones lol...She doesn't know that I've started planning this, but we were talking last night, and decided that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. I've never felt so content with life as I do right now. :D

Lemme know what rings you guys like, and if you have any recommendations...

Thanks,

~Steven a.k.a. ShinyToyGuns~

It really depends on her personality. But if she loves you, she won't care which you give her, just the concept behind it and she'll be very happy.

But I'd probably say this one. But it might help to know what she does like or not. Did she say she didn't want diamonds because she doesn't like diamonds or did she say that for some other reason?

Oh, ShinyToyGuns, I'm so happy for you! Oh when I read your last part about being content I squealed. Romance is so...daww! m015.gif

I wish you luck, ShinyToyGuns! You do sound so very happy. ^.^

I think you are rushing this relationship. You just met her. Try to get to know her a bit more. A few months is very hasty.

well, i don't know uch about you and her, but i know how it feels tobe on top of the world just like that!:) i'm very very glad for you both:):):) i liked the second ring best, but you really do have to know the reasons why she doesn't like diamonds. maybe she has some bad memories or something, and you really should'nt remind her of them;) well, have th best of luck and happiness!:)

I like the third.

Elegant but a bit different.

My husband and I chose a pair of silver simple rings, smooth ones but with an engraved sentence inside.

After all a ring is just a ring.

1.5 CT. T.W. Ring

That one, though in reality it doesn't matter which one cause if it's meant to be then any ring will do. It is nice to know that you're putting so much effort into this though, really shows that you care. Best of luck to you.

Way to spring for the hunderd dollar rings...

I like the Sapphire Ring. But It doesn't exactly scream "Marry me."

In all seriousness, and I do mean seriousness, a $100 ring isn't really an engagement ring. It's more of a promise ring. I know a lot of starting marital couples don't buy their engagement rings for their weddings, they wait until their 1st or 5th or whatever anniversary to buy the real ring.

I'm not saying she won't love the gesture, but I would get something over $2000.

My idea

You will need:

Camera

Money

Balls of Steel

(optional) Knife

Step 1: Head to nearest forest

Step 2: Find predatory animal (preferably a cougar, bear, or something similar)

Step 3: Activate and place camera

Step 4: Wrestle and slay predatory animal

Step 5: Collect a few locks of it's hair

Step 6: Collect camera and footage of the hunt

Step 7: Go to Lifegem.com

Step 8: Have locks of animal hair turned into a gem

Step 9: Set resulting gem in engagement ring

Step 10: Propose, explain gem, and show footage

Step 11: ????

Step 12: PROFIT! also, a wife who will love you forever
