Marked 197 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 Hey guys, I have decided to bring back the advertising forum to help promote new game making sites. Its a sub-forum in the cafe, check it out here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/forum/6-advertising/ I think we should come up with a new name for it.. 'Advertising' is like we're trying to guilt trip the poster or something :P
FranklinX 37 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Is there a minimum amount of posts we need to advertise? Edited April 4, 2011 by RATED-RKOFRANKLIN

Marked 197 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 How about: 'Your websites'. And yes Franklin thanks for reminding me. I set a 5 post limit. I'm kind of against that sort of thing. If a member came here to post a website that members would find useful, I wouldn't be against that at all. But I think there is some sort of filter needed, so for now its at 5 posts. :)

Knuckles 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 (edited) nah who cares about advertising, just tell your friends and that's it. Advertising to the general public on a website is useful to: -Gain hits, obviously -Receive comments, constructive criticism, and general opinions -Recruit staff members Telling your buddies may not achieve some of these key factors in building a website worth visiting. Often, the only things your friends could do is to overlook any flaws and join your forum because you're their friend (though it isn't always the case, just from personal experience from my time in the website industry). That is fine, but it does nothing constructive in other important key factors. EDIT to add an important part in parentheses Edited June 7, 2011 by Knuckles
