How much Interest for: Shinto, Bushido and Yamato-culture?

Greetings,

 

I am working on a little RMVXAce project ("Project Moonflower"), which is heavily based on Japanese culture at large, especially the element of Shinto, Bushido and Yamato-culture (i.e. non-Ainu, non-Ryukyuan).

 

The reason to post this is to gain your feedback in how much interest lies in those topics for you.

Would you like and even anticipate a RPG-Maker game revolving around such elements?

 

And if so, what would you more likely want to see:

- Tactical

- Action

gameplay?

 

It's a general interest to see what the community thinks and feels about those elements of a game.

I'm looking forward to any feedback and responses.

What kind of setting would it be in, Modern, Meiji, Edo?

Edo period (Tokugawa shogunate).

Hmm... have you thought about how you're going to include Yamato culture, as that is pre-Edo - it's pretty much (apart from the Joumon culture from before it which was more basic) the oldest in Japanese cultures.

Oh, I apologize, I used a confusing approach to explain the term "Yamato".

I wanted to use "Yamato" for the Japanese culture that emerged from the Yamato period, to distinguish it from the Emishi, Ainu, Ryukyuan and focus on the classical Japanese culture. (Sort of in a peoples way.)

That would actually be pretty interesting to me. Of course, I always enjoy when there is an element of fantasy added as well. Not like unicorns and such lol but like simple magics and such. Also I would like to see a tactical one. Either way it sounds like an interesting idea.
