the area surrounding the building needs more life: add more trees (variating trees), plants, dirt etc. You also need the round water autotile, because the default one sucks. Lastly, even for a stronghold the building looks to square. Look at real life exaples: you should add some small towers etc. Also the small path leading to the stronghold isn't very logically now.

It's gonna be intresting to watch the battle between html5 and flash. I hope html5 wins because i dislike creating anything in flash/actionscript. But Adobe has a powerfull tool in the makes with Wallaby which can convert flash into html5.

The race minigame is awesome! I will use this multiple times in my rpg :shifty:

Did you already right click on the image and made it into a symbol and choose button as format? that's a good start ;) if you have done that, i'll try to explain what to do next.

well explained and the maps look pretty good, but not awesome. Too make it more realistic, the height of the cliffs should vary. Also, the maps are a bit too bland. But you explain the techniques right, that's the most important.

I have some friends over in japan, they are exchange students in tokyo. I heared they are okay. But i also know a guy who i met through rmxp: he's was composing for my game. We get allong really well and just yesterday we were talking about how i would travel to japan next year and he could show me around and soon after he'd come to my home country (belgium, which is very popular amonst japanese tourists) and all. Now i haven't heared him since the earthquake. I hope he's doing fine.

This is what they should have done since the release of rmxp. If they released a new resources pack like once a year, they would get more income and rmxp/rmvx games would look less generic.

whoa, is it really that hard to get a bank account in the us? Here, in Belgium opening a bank account is free and all you have to do to link your paypal account is giving your bank account number. Weird how such small things are different in every country

I have an assigment at school to make a short animated movie. I already decidded about the subject: jungle, and the main character so far is a spider. However, i can't figure out a cool/funny short story. I've been trying for weeks, and i never had such a writer block before, so i'm irritated like hell =/ So, do any of you guys have an idea for a cool story that might get me back on the rails?

Good idea :) if i do, i'll start it after your html class is finished, because we can only start php when your students have a decent knowledge of html/css. I'll keep my eye on this :)

The html code so far is declaring teh type of html and is linking to different css files. One that has to be used when you are browsing with a computer, one that has to be used when you are browing with an ipad and the last one is for iPhones/android phones etc. Than there is also a link to a javascript file that will make a cool slider. the css file will reset all default styles. for example, to make a certain sentence a title you have to use the <h1> tag on it. By default this tag will make the text Verdana 18pt (not sure if it's Verdana, but, just an example). However chances are that you want your titles to be for example Arial 16pt. This is something you have to declare in your css file. However, if you don't have a reset.css, this new rule (Arial 16pt) might clash with the default rule (Verdana 18pt). (99% of the time it will be fine, but that 1% can be leathal). Anyway, i'm sorry for hijacking this thread lol :P I hope this was still usefull to people who want to learn html/css so it's not 100% offtopic :)

I never write or change anything in it, so no problem if this particular file is messy. * I'm a professional webdesigner with html/css/javascript/php/mysql/mssql/asp/flex/flash/cms-software. So let's get it on xD funny thing is i still suck at ruby/rgss/c# an all other game-related scripting :P AAaanyway, i'm actually willing to help giving this class, if you want a helping hand! I've been thinking of doing something alike since a while.
