D: This is the tutorial where i got the event from :3 http://www.rmxp.tigerseye.uk.com/tutorial_aevent3.shtml i think its something to do with the variables i took the variables out of the door and i turned off the variable condition and i didnt get an error :( well i found a way around it. the thing now is my doors dont close. i think the problem was the auto run on the second page was a variable *shrug* works now though so its all good :3

Ok. Here are the images for my door event, and a picture of the map im using. each door has a variable increase of one so that the doors all close separately. if not when you come back to the city from one of the buildings if another door is in view both doors will close at the same time Door Page 1 Door Page 2 Door Page 3 Map

First thign i tried was deleting the door events and now everything works fine :( that makes me sad my doors took so long to make! D: i have no idea whats wrong with them there was a tutorial on another site and i followed it to the letter! *rips out hair*

I think its a good idea Marked! Personally I have to read the name in my head "RPG Maker VX. nope not that one. RPG Maker XP. THERE!" I have already used the Prefixing option in my assignment thread. I am not sure about my Script Problem thread though. Another way we can reduce confusion is by forcing people to use a prefix or else the post wont go through. We could have three: XP, VX, General. Or something. that way in the intro threads you wont have to introduce yourself with an XP or VX prefix. I am for the idea. ONE VOTE!

i fixed it! i hope so. If you open up your menu at any time and enter the first city you you get an error. If you dont open the menu until you get intot he city. if you leave [even into one of the shops] open the menu, and come back you get the error. its the CMS i think. i removed it, then tried it and it was fine. also if you do the quest thats in the city and open the menu while on the quest. when you hand in the quest youll get the error again. i have a thread in the RMXP section.

yeah Canada is pretty bomb :P i just got my game tested and i had to fix my starting cut scene. now if only i could get my menu script to not crash my game when you go into a certain city D:

Hey everyone! bounce My name is Ramen Toshio Uzuamki. I was born in Nago, Okinawa, Japan, but raised in Ontario, Canada. I'm pretty much Canadian since I dont even remember being in Japan. I was real little when we left. I am 21 years old, and attend St. Lawrence College here in my city. I'm majoring in Accounting. YAY MONEY! I love Anime, and Manga. I draw, sketch, paint, write, sing [poorly I scream better]. I love Tim Burton films, and watching movies. I don't really watch much TV I'm too busy with my computer. I'm a computer whiz. I build, program, and repair them for friends and family. I have three aquariums: 5 gal, 20 gal [fishies], 30 gal [sasori]. I'm an avid Aquarist and reptile lover. If I could afford it I'd have a room filled with reptiles, and fish! I love em. Hmmm... I guess you could say I'm scene. I'm unemployed at the moment, but am waiting for a call back from a job. I play the bass guitar and love music. Anything is good, but mainly: Metal, Classic Rock, Classical, Screamo, Scene, Punk. Hello everyone! I am currently working on a Fantasy RPG project that has yet to be named. I have made my way to creating the first city/town/village/thing. I made a nice event that uses variables to open/close doors. However, I am having a problem. I get the following error if I open my menu before leaving through the door: --------------------------- Unnamed --------------------------- Script 'Game_Event' line 99: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method `<' for []:Array --------------------------- OK --------------------------- I have even opened the menu BEFORE entering through the door, and upon exit I receive the error. Can anyone help me please? :3 EDIT: I just tried to make a quest using events, and using my quest script and as soon as you pick up the quest you get that same error. EDIT2: Turns out its something to do with the entire city. If i had opened the menu at any time during the game even before the town i will get that error if i try to enter the city D:
