I can't seem to open any spoilers! I've tried in Chrome and IE, but they just won't open at all. I've not had a problem with it before... Is it my computers/browser or a site bug? Thankss

Hey everybody :) So I lost absolutely everything I had on my previous start-of-a-game, so I rethought and came up with this... Hope y'all get interested and stuffs! Arcana: Masters of Lore Story: Hundreds of years ago, the Gods of Lore walked upon the baron planet of Astraal. Power flowed all around and Astraal came to life. Plants began to grow, creatures great and small flooded the land and mankind prospered. Astraal was peaceful... But then came the darkness. Laurases, Lord of Destruction had come to claim this land for himself. The Gods were distraught, for their power could not stop Laurases. Their only hope was mankind. Once more they walked upon Astraal and copulated with mankind. The children that spawned from this were half-blooded. The power of the Gods flowed through their veins. Capable of performing incredible feats of magick, these children were naturally drawn to each other. They knew their purpose and they embraced it. They called themselves The Arcanists. The Arcanists marched upon The Castell, home of Laurases, and tried with all their might to banish him from the land. When they were unsuccessful, they fled to The Keep of Labas where Laurases hunted them down and crushed them. Few managed to survive. Some were Laurases' prisoners, some escaped to hide from his wrath. Among the captured was the young and beautiful Daleen, daughter of the Arcanists' leaders Maerys and Slalom. Laurases was enthralled by Daleens' beauty and made her his wife. When Daleen discovered that she was carrying Laurases' child, she fled The Castell, fearful of what he may do. Laurases was enraged. He hunted Daleen for three years before he found her. She pleaded for her life, but Laurases had no mercy. He believed she knew where the remaining Arcanists were and tortured her. For years, Daleen remained strong and said nothing. Until one day... Daleen made a fatal error. She prayed to the Gods of Lore to watch over her daughter, believing nobody could hear her. When Laurases learned that Daleen had bore his child, he was angered. He slit Daleens' throat. Now, Laurases had a new problem... His daughter. Upon his word, the tale of the Arcanists began to twist. Rumours of their delusion and power obsessed ways began to weave their way throughout the land. Today, even the word Arcanist strikes fear into the hearts of men, the Gods of Lore have long been a myth and magick? Magick is a joke. Liliana, daughter of Daleen and Laurases, the most powerful Arcanist alive, has no idea that she alone has the power to vanquish Laurases and free the world of Astraal of his darkness. But that's all about to change... Characters: Liliana (aka Lil) The main protagonist of the story, she was orphaned at the age of 3 when her mother vanished. She's grown up her whole life believing that Arcanists were deluded crazies, so you can imagine her surprise when she finds out, not only do they exist, and not only that she is one... but that she's the most powerful Arcanist of all and she's the only one with the power to stop the evil antagonist, Laurases (aka her dad!) Laurases (aka Osmer Lidin) Laurases is the antagonist. He's from another world and took over the world of Astraal a long long time ago, killed a lot of Arcanists, enslaved a lot of them, killed Lilianas' mother and is just out right evil. He's brainwashed the world into believing that it's the Arcanists that are evil, in the hope that his aforementioned daughter won't kill him because she also believes that they're evil. When he realises that Liliana knows the truth, he takes on the guise of Osmer Lidin quite frequently in his efforts to kill her. Maerys There isn't much to say about Maerys... she's the oldest living Arcanist, Lilianas' grandmother and the leader of the Arcanists. Her husband, Slalom is believed to be dead. I'm considering either killing her off eventually or possibly even having her possessed by Laureses. Helandre & Vasamer Non-identical twins, Hel & Vad are dangerous alone, deadly together. Not only are they accomplished in close combat, they're also Arcanists. Their twins bond gives them an extra power... They can merge together and become one super deadly force. They squabble a lot, but they're really awesome. They accompany Lil on her journey and refuse to let her give up! Scripts: I'm currently using: Ccoa's UMS Kellesdee's Dynamic Lighting System I have a love for custom scripts, as you've probably noticed. I'm hoping to integrate a journal feature, and loads of cool battle add-ons. I dislike many battle systems though, so I'm yet to find the perfect one! Team: Just me at the minute! I do have ambitions which are way beyond my capabilities like custom music and graphics, so anyone Photoshop and Garageband (or similar) savvy, be sure to throw me some help which will be way much appreciated and, of course, you will be heavily credited and praised and (if possible) I will try help with whatever I'm okay at. I'd also like someone who could read through the scripts, fix grammar and spelling errors and just jazz up the script overall as I'm not great at writing! Closing Statement: Thank you for taking the time to read, please feel free to comment, send me some help, ect... I know the story is very typical RPG, but what can I say? I love fantasy RPG stories  Oh! To see the game page, click here. Thanks guys!

Oooo I have two to choose from!! Exciting ^^ Thank you both for doing them, I'll try them out now. I feel kinda bad that I have nada to contribute to anybody :/ Don't worry about the quest book, black. You win some, you loose some! I'll find something else that suits. Is there a way I could use the same script twice possibly? One for Quests/Jobs and one for main objectives?
-
Apologies for this being like... 11 days late, but I can't seem to get the pop-up one to work. I tried it and it just made the game crash. And is there any news on anyone working on the quest script? If not I'll find something else ^^
-
Damn! I was hunting for that, I thought I put it in a separate event... Didn't think to look in the door! Thanks :)

Yeah sure, Game: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ubi2thdgoqblsky/Arcana.exe

Helppp meee!! I'm suddenly getting the following error whenever I try and PT my game! "NameError occurred while running script. undefined local variable or method 'text' for #<Interpreter:0x75f60f0" It was going fine until I put in a new script, which has now been taken out, but now it's popping up every time? What is it and how do I fix it?!
-
Thankyouu ^^ I'll let you know of any errors :) EDIT: Couple of questions! What would I need to get rid of to remove the Switch bit in the menu? And Where do I find all the bits to change where it says "Body Armour" to just "Armour"? It's doing my head in that that is a different size to the rest of it because of the length x( Duhhh! Moron over here didn't look in the database properly. Yes, I feel stupid xD
-
You're both brilliant! ^^ Thank youu

Hey-o. Me, yet again. I'm after a script that makes auto-popups for different things. I need it for when you find an item or when a new objective is available or completed, displayed in the top right hand of the screen. I'd like it to show icons for when you find things and done using script calls similar to ccoa's ums. So when you find something you do a (hopefully short and really easy to remember) script call where you specify the quantity, weather its a weapon/armour/item and it's corresponding number in the database. And for objectives, I'd just like it to say "New objective available" and "Objective complete" It'd be nice if it faded slowly (e.g. stays solid for a few seconds and then fades over 80 frames) And to be extra horrid and demanding, could someone do an edit to Zeriabs Quest Book? (https://sites.google.com/site/zeriabsjunk/scripts-/quest-book) I'd really like it to have a side menu/bar thingy on the left that lets you select the section you want, the sections being 'Quests', 'Objectives', 'Completed' and 'Menu'. If possible, I'd like it so I can have bigger icons/pictures set in 3 columns with the "Main Menu" icon removed. I'd like the top section where it has the "Who, What and Where" bit moved down under the side menu thingy on the left and a section on top that tells you which bit you're in. It should still work the way it does now with how it's set up and the window with the details about the quest/objective and the quests only showing when they're available. I've done a paint on how I'd like it laid out ^^ Thanks guys =)

Woo! All is working, and I'd say it was well worth the hassle... well, worth it for me since it was my request at least :P Thankyouuu! You shall be credited and hopefully bothered less by me xD

Yay! That script is fixed... Wait for it, wait forrrr it... Another error. This time on Spriteset_Battle. Line 97, undefined method for 'battler=' for nil Nil:Class
-
This script and I just weren't meant to be! :( Line 219 which literally says End is now throwing an error into the mix!
-
That looks perfect actually... I don't know why I didn't think about having it over the actual event! You are a genius! Thanks ^^ EDIT: Slight issue with it... The icon appears to being getting stuck to the screen after I've interacted with the interact-able event. It stays constantly but scrolls with the screen. After the next incredibly talented writer of computer language tells me how indeed I may fix this, it is the perfect script!

Don't worry about it if you cba... I've searched for the Testbed but can't find it anywhere, just a load of dead links :/ I can always just revert to plan B which is chests that can be easily seen. I just wanted to add like search options for shelves and dig sites, but I'm fairly sure I can live without it ^^
-
It's @enemy_sprites< end :dizzy: I should really learn to script... or at least to understand what the hell it all means. Edit: Scratch that! With that solve comes a new problem. Line 198 is now throwing up an error >;[ @actor_sprites< end

Theres an error on the Add on :(

I've scoured google, but can find no hints. Any ideas as to search terms that might lead me to it?

Heya guys... I'm after a script that shows an animation above the player graphic and plays an SE when there's an event nearby that the player needs to/can search for goodies. Something a bit like in FFIX :) Preferably able to set up in the event to be searched so that when the player walks next to it, it shows the indicator without the need for countless numbers of events surrounding the searchable. If anyone can help, I'll be forever greatful!

Hey guys... So I'm trying to do new graphics for Moonpearls ACMS, but I'm not sure on a couple of things... I've used the template text, but will I need to resize the canvas so the text displays properly? How can I get rid of the Biography section and the bit that displays what map player's on? Thanks ^^
-
If you haven't seen it yet is basically just that the enemy window is on the Left (displays the enemy name) the character one on the right (showing name, hp, sp) and the battle screen with the enemy graphics on top. I wanted the character graphic either to the left of the characters names or in a separate window above the character window :) I'll take a more detailed look at the script tomorrow and see if I can figure it out :) Thanks ^^

The edit on the ATB is for hiding animations that would be shown on the battler graphic, but I think I had the battler graphics written out of it, so removing the edit just shows random animations along the bottom of the screen. The learning script is awesome from what I've seen, I'm not sure weather I'm looking at it wrong though, but the skills available in the W/A don't appear to be usable until you've learnt them? Edit: Just seen the snippet he put in to allow you to use the skills! And I forgot about the add-on on the ATB that does what's described above. The edit in the main script gets rid of the battler graphic (which I still don't want) I meant the actual character graphic displayed downwards to the left of the names, or in a seperate window above them. like this:
-
It's ParaDogs ATB.. it's got an add-on type thing that Kellessdee did for me back in like, 2011. I've put a copy of it in the OP :) Will that Skill system work with the XMB (show in the same sort of way as all the other submenus in the menu)? I'm assuming not?
-
Thanks for the comments ^^ I know the cutscenes are really simple, I've been sat here for ages thinking of how to improve them, but I've drawn a blank, so I'm open to suggestions from everybody on how I can jazz them up a little. I'm trying to develop some form of a base and hoping that'll get my brain working again xD Overdone storyline... I can agree with that. I will try to slot in some other side-stories as I go on a bit. I haven't really played FFVII, but I was thinking it was going more down the lines of FFIX (Elves were put on the world [we'll call it Earth for now] by some crazy dude who wanted to take over but they chose their own fates and his plan backfired so he's just gonna try and destroy the whole place because he's a loopy Lou) But, thank you again, your comments have been duly noted ^^
-
Damn, it's cut off the rest >.< The rest stated: I'd like the progress of each skill shown in the Skills screen if possible, and when a skill is fully learnt, it tells you in the end of battle screen (like it does in FFIX) Another request is an edit to the ATB script to show the character graphic on the left of the characters details that shows animations of when magic is cast, hits/magic taken. And the final one! (I've almost forgotten what this one is, so I'll sit and ponder for a moment in the hope it'll come back to me...) Damn it, I've forgotten ;_; I'll have to put this one in when I remember what it is! Anywho, I know it's a sizeable request, hence why I will be forever in the debt of whichever person (or persons) takes it on! Thanks in advance!! ^^
