I'd like an active battle system similar to Tales of Symphonia, in which the player directly controls one character at a time while the other characters are controlled through AI, and the player can switch control to other characters, or shout orders. For example, the controls could be something like A,B,and C for primary attack, secondary attack, and defend, respectively, and special skills could be assigned to X Y and Z or a combination, while L and R will switch player control to other characters.
If anyone already has or is working on such a system, I'd like to take a look. Otherwise, well, I have some programming experience already, so I doubt it'll be too terribly hard to learn RGSS myself. :)
