I need help with RMXP. I need to make a boat...but I'm no good at mapping boats...I need the inside and outside of the boat...I might try myself (if I get desperate enough) but I probably won't right now...I'll just skip from the intro to the first level for now...but, anyway...I need someone who can make me some maps of a cargo boat. I'm no good at boats...

well...we have a mIRC channel for chat... EDIT: Never mind...looks like they changed mIRC recently...so I can make channels, but no one can talk as it is an unregistered channel...

All righty...well...that makes 1 vote for everything then...we still got a month for more people to vote...but still...1 vote for everything doesn't help much :sweat:

agreed, Firefox updates once a week (or so it seems like) with updates...IE updates once a year...or something like that...I mean...they're on, what...IE 7? Firefox is on 1.10.2 or something like that...and the number is still rising...

-nods- agreed with Leon...so, we want to keep the player from doing anything that doesn't mpdify the map...so how would you put that into words?

-nods- that's true...disallowing any messaging events would work...I just don't want people adding save points, and battles and so forth all over, and thus making you vote for the stuff in it, and not the map itself...

Truthfully, you'd be surprised. As people here are allowed to vote for which they think is best, someone could put in a line somewhere in the game that says something super funny, and the guy would want to vote for that, while completely overlooking the mapping process itself. It is a procedure that was used in the last mapping contests I saw a few months back...but the same contest is up now, and I no longer see the no event commands rule in it...so all in all, I think they had the same problem we are...so, I may just remove the rule altogether. Note: Should I remove the rule, this will NOT remove the "No Transfer Events" rule. If your map is well made, you shouldn't need transfer events...well...unless we do Depths of Darkness...but if we do, that will be the only acception...as I JUST realized DoD has like...no way to map it without using transfers... Any other ideas for things we can add, or ways to improve previous rules?

Just as a heads up now. Anyone wanting to, please comment on the rules. I wish to change these rules to make it more user-friendly, and easier to make maps...if the two of those are possible together...lol That's right, it is YOUR time to help us come up with th erules. They need revising for next month's contest, so let's get them decided on before April.

True, but as I would probably memorize, then delete the PM, it would be hard for anyone to get the password afterward. Also, we have never been hacked her at RMXP Unlimited, as we are on a subdomain of a free webhost, about 99% of hackers ignore us...

I know...some of you are probably like O.O!! THREE update topics all in the SAME DAY?! ZOMG! Well, we've had some updates that don't fit with other topics. As of now, I have added 2 new BBCodes. They have been tested and are working perfectly. They are the Google Video and Youtube Video codes. With these, you can post videos off Google or Yutube without having to link to it in links. I do, however, recommend the wise use of these, and do NOT recommend using them all the time. Here are some previews: Youtube Video -> [youtube]qgCe5xv_etY[/youtube] Google Video -> Original Video [google]6493722340610946105[/google] You may now ask: How do I use these? Quite simple. Let's first look at a youtube video, in fact, the same one from above. Note the URL to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgCe5xv_etY By going in and cuttiong out the section after watch?v= which in this case is qgCe5xv_etY, we then put it inside the Youtube tags. Doing this displays the video above. Now let's look at the google one. Note the url for this one: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6493722340610946105&q=Mario By going in and cutting out the section after docid= and using those numbers as the code, we put those numbers in the google tags, and there you go, one video. Beware: Google likes to put a jumble of numbers, then add onto it afterwards. You only need THE NUMBERS so, like the above ended in &q=Mario, that part you don't need, just the numbers. Also, the new script index is up. It isn't an updated version, but it has a new look (sort of). So, go check it out...It is no longer located on the koeguild site, as it appears koeguild has been taken down...Clexier probably didn't pay the bill or something... ><

heh, it's no problem...it's just the way I work...with me, it's "If I don't do it while it is in my head, I will remember just before the deadline, and have no time left to do it" so...I COULD have waited a few days...but again...I may not have remembered...

yeah...well, CA always opened theirs up early like this...back when they were doing it monthly...truthfully, it is better to post it early by a month, then post it early by a week because you forgot, then have everyone have to think in a 2 second period sort of speak...

it's not hard, yes, I agree, but what if at a point, I ned something uplodaded, and Leon won't be on for two days, which results in (worst case senario) the mod is faulty and keeps the website down until I can fix it? I can't fix it unless I have the password, and I can't explain it cause I can't talk to him cause the site is down...you follow?

I started the last one really late, and no one really got time to think. People can see their options now, way them, and then, in a month, vote. They don't have to do it right now if they want to think about it.
