  1. Yeah, that's true. I tried to cut out the other 4 seconds of actual guns to use in the AMV. I'm currently working on another one now (though I can't sign into my youtube, because it's only letting me use my email now T_T) And if you all want to see a small preview, let me know! I'll render, upload and post it up for you all on my "new" account (only new because it was forced . . . -.-)
  2. @Calvinchun and Crimson - Yes, I have the Chord structure, for both a hard Rock and acoustic version. I'll post the video of me singing and playing the acoustic version, as soon as I find a good enough mic/Camera to use. @rgansta - Thanks a heap! I already had a logo for our band, but that's way better! Again thanks! I'll be sure to fuse it with the original concept as well. Nice job on that! @Crimson specifically - You had family in the war huh? I think that war was pretty brutal, even just from journals of the soldiers. I met a Vietnam vet, and he was still in bad shape. That was another reason I wrote this song. I really feel sorry for anyone who had to go through that war. In any case, you should feel proud they were brave enough to fight for your country, you know? Heh
  3. Okay, recently, I started a band called Kunai (we do have Facebook, for those interested) So tonight, After remembering a book I read called "The Running Man", I wrote this as my newest set of Lyrics, which I think are my best yet. "Kunai Really lost with what to say, I can't put into words my mind, The scene is just so strange, Those flowers all over his body, The red flowers erupt, all over his falling self, As my finger on the trigger, Squeezes harder still, Such an eerie thing to see, The smell of bullets lost on me, The Shock on thier faces, Thier faces, Decorate the halls with flowers of red, Time just slows, with a gun held in your hand, Nobody cares for the children of the dead, Decorate the walls with flowers of red. My mind escapes to darkness, My body is just so numb, The blood is everywhere, How could I let this happen? The gun is in my hand, The flowers everywhere, the paint dripping to the floor, The blood is dripping to the floor, Such an eerie thing to see, The smell of bullets lost on me, The Shock on thier faces, Thier faces, Decorate the halls with flowers of red, Time just slows, with a gun held in your hand, Nobody cares for the children of the dead, Decorate the walls with flowers of red. I came home from afar, My eyes had seen too much oversea, And my mind still saw the shadows lurking, the drop of a hat I wasn't me, you see, They took me to a man in white, He asked me why I was afraid tonight, I said I see the flowers, everywhere, I see the flowers, dripping wet, Such an eerie thing to see, The smell of bullets lost on me, The Shock on thier faces, Thier faces, Decorate the halls with flowers of red, Time just slows, with a gun held in your hand, Nobody cares for the children of the dead, Decorate the walls with flowers of red. Decorate the halls with flowers of red, Time just slows, with a gun held in your hand, Nobody cares for the children of the dead, Decorate the walls with flowers of red. -Hayden, -Written to express the pain of Vietnam war hero's after the war. To those of us who don't know terror, I hope this shows something of the effects of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)" p.S Yes my real name is Hayden XD Hope you all like the lyrics, and also think about the forgotten war and the soldiers who fought so bravely in it.
  4. Consider me a part of this. I'm learning a bunch of new tricks to add to my games, and since I'm almost finished a beta for my newest game idea (Soul Scythe) I should be free for this. And I can do a full storyline in 5 maps as well! ^_^ Perfect. I'm already planning all the written documentation in advance so I remember. hey Fluidity, even if VX Ace is released in English, next to no scripts will be be available to if for a while, so yo'll be pretty mush stuck with RTP battle systems and such. So I would probably just stick with VX or XP.
  5. Wow, I wasn't expecting all this. It was all actually just made with loops of course (I don't actually play any of the instruments directly, since I don't have a way to record it). I did, however, have to do massive amounts of dissecting and a bit of track manipulating with the guitar and the drums; I was trying my best to avoid overpowering the metal half of the Symphonic Metal. I'm really glad you all love it!
  6. So, after having a major hard-drive failure, just today I made myself (after having to re-install everything in the past couple of days) a new battle theme for everyone to hear. I plan to actually use it in a game, but I wanted to show it off it a bit; and get some others opinions on it. http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/6s4ndxgmn7/the_attack.mp3 Aptly named "The Attack", it will feature in my new game, which is getting there slowly . . .
  7. Wow, you're really gifted. All my talent has to do with loops . . . Feel so outclassed. . . . -.- Keep up the amazing work! ^_^
  8. May I make a request? I need a new window skin for my newest project. I'm not entirely sure what I want, but i know I want something visually impressive. It's a bit of a dark theme though, so make it maybe gothic . . . Thanks in advance
  9. Sautations, Names Grimm; I've been offline for a while, but now I'm back up and online again! If you wish, I'd be able to make your music for your game. I use loops and looping programs to make all my music, so it's usually done quickly, and sounds great. For a few examples, see my shop in the Game Dev shops forum, or my new website at www.grimmhallows.webs.com (Just check the music and podcasts) If you like what you hear, message me, and we'll begin! -Grimm
  10. Guitar, Harp, Violin and Cello, double bass and bass guitar, and I'm learning trumpet and english horn at the moment. ^_^
  11. I am personally looking forward to the inclusion of VX on the program; I only have VX, but I've given your program to my brother, who loves it. ^_^ Keep up the excellent work! -Grimm
  12. The problem with using the ME crossing with the BGM is that it overlaps too much; you'd have to script in a wait period for every battle. That probably wouldn't be that hard, but a bit of a pain, don't you think? ^_^ In terms of a website, I'm going to try and set a webs account up -Grimm
  13. Hey! Fluidity! Great to see you online now! I hope you find that this site has everything you could be looking for. Remember to check the Game Development shops in the Games development Forums, and make sure you get heaps done on this game; I have a lot of music to write for it (loving the techno right now, so it's my current focus) I look forward to seeing you online more Fluidity! -Grimm
  14. With RPG Maker VX, or XP, no. Sadly, you get a starting effect followed by the music. However, I can make it so that it can repeat for well over an hour . . . even add variations to it throughout the songs to keep it interesting. I could just make a 64 bar song, with an intro in front, and then copy it out over and over again. With the outro, you can change the song outro if your boss is an event (By changing it through one of the event buttons, yeah?) So technically, I can make that in itself seperate! Finally, I'm really hoping that whatever Enterbrain comes out with next, they consider what I sent them (I sent an email asking if they could have the main battle music only start AFTER the sound effect, not just over the top.) Thanks for your question, Heretic! -Grimm
  15. The room was completely white; Hayden could barely see the floor he stood on, and he felt as though he might fall and not know either way. His blonde hair and blue eyes seemed to hide a rather adventurous and unruly spirit; something which had now killed him. He did not know of his death yet, however; he remembered nothing but the room, and knew only a single emotion at this time, the black shadow of fear hanging like a dagger over the boys back. He frantically looked around the empty white space, feeling the walls and a ceiling that hung just at jumping reach; his hands felt a warm heat from the walls as he did test their solidity. his thoughts were to escape, and to find a way to remember why he felt so guilty, why he felt so cold. Why did he feel so dead? "The answer to your horror is simple to explain," a soft voice offered, seeming to respond to his thoughts. It came from all around, and Hayden quickly tried to find the source, but with no success. "How is it that a hero can nearly destroyed, and yet still manage to survive against all odds to lie motionless as others weep and mourn, beleiving you already dead?" Hayden's thoughts turned from himself to faceless being like himself, crying over his body as he looked on from afar, feelings of guilt returning strongly as he fell to his knees. The vision faded, however, and a well dressed lady appeared; her eyes purple and her clothes quite fancy; Hayden mostly noticed her purple hues the most of all however, disregarding the clothes as an unnecessary detail. They glared right at him, and he glared back, bravery now overflowing as he stood his ground at a silent assault of nerves. And as Hayden continued his staring contest with the un-named girl, he suddenly fell to the floor, a sudden flash of what appeared to be a memory. "If I save you," The girl whispered to a bleeding and quite pale version of Hayden, lying in a pool of blood, gaping from several flowers in his chest, "Would you serve me, for eternity? With your last breath, do you swear it?" The bullet wounds seemed to start to close as he nodded, his voice croaking a final "Yes" as he fell unconscious, those flowers of flesh and blood closing slowly, and his face slipping to peace. Hayden's new vision stopped, and as he scrambled to his feet, he found the girl reaching a hand to him, bidding him to take it. A man, old and yet composed, stood beside her, bowing respectfully. His face was resolute, and his closed eyes seeming to show a pain that would be difficult to convey into words. Hayden took a step forward, and a ripple rushed from his step, a bunch of flowers pure white appearing by the girl's hand. He took more steps, and more appeared; a bed to his left, a window filled with white to his right. Hayden's eyes seemed to struggle with new colors as he ran now, trying to hasten what seemed to be a last chance. A last chance at life. And as he reached her, he took her in her hand, and her smile softly welcomed him, he closed his blue eyes, the shadow of fear now shrinking from a new shield that now guarded him entirely; bravery in its true form. Hayden bolted upright, and his eyes raced open. Too fast, however, as he was blinded by sunlight pulling in from the window to his right. His bed was hard, and machines beeped methodically to both sides, and a girl stood to his left of the bed, his hand in her own soft clasp. And she stood at that, and walked to the end of what was no doubt the hospital ward, the old man he saw earlier carrying what appeared to be her coat and umbrella. her voice, however, was what came through; her tone was somewhat cold, given he'd just awoken from what appeared to be death. "You begin your work tomorrow. Do not be late, Mr Hayden. And do not make me regret bringing you back. For today you are to rest. That is all." And with that, she left a rather astonished young 16 year old to his bed, her smirk as she walked out revealing to the aged servant her amusement. "My lady, are you sure you picked the right replacement? He seems-" The elderly man began, but the young lady merely chuckled and cast him a sly glance, and walked on to her car, opening it herself and climbing in. "Of course, Lady Snow. It is as you wish," The man stooped low to enter the driver seat of the car, and they drove off from the hospital. Drove off from the boy, And drove off from the sun, the shadows reaching into distances now too great to see. (This is but the prologue for my newest story. Let me all know what you think!)
  16. -Bump- Remember, if anyone needs music (now that I am back up and running, sorry for the delay and unresponsiveness lately), they can come here! Where all the custom music you could want is, and free! Need a massive boss theme? A subtle back alley tune? A sad slow melodic mood? Let Grimm's Voices feature in your games and bring life to your story! Just remember to credit the music in some way!
  17. I am simply going to post a link (because I'm a bit lazy and busy to be honest), and I'd love it if everyone actually had a look and told me what they think of the video! Thanks in advance, and feel free to criticize! -Grimm LINK:
  18. I was using 1.1 for a second, but then I got the error and was like :shok: Then I was like . . . Then i was suddenly like  Then I was back to :shok: And then I was like . . . :dragonshock: "NOOOOOO!!!!!" And that is my tale of fail . . . But largely, it kept killing me at the cave map. heh Redownloaded it, the cave is now fine, and I haven't had any issues. Might try this hard mode though- I always put full on agility anyway.
  19. Alright, here is the issue at hand that has been getting my attentions. Students will often complain that thier homework is really boring, but after giving some of my friends my music, they listened to it as they studied, and then they said it was the most "Epic study sesh ever!" and that they entered a state of mind that overcame boredom, simply with my music, So . . . if there are any students out there willing, I'd like to test this new theory more; IF you have a final test coming, study to my music, and tell me what grade you get after the test! Thanks! You can find some of my music in the Game Dev shop! I need to know just how effective this music is on the mind! it might even help uni students study! ^^ -Grimm
  20. I did find it odd you called the waterball skill water blast. Also, I had that error with the beach map, but blamed my computer at first; it seems to have a problem with both the RPG makers I have. I haven't been able to finish it for two reasons. 1. the bugs that often come up, as aforementioned by Serge 2. you keep updating! Haha  -Grimm
  21. No way, Kiri, that's not how it works . . . it's more like Get Ready Get Set . . . Don't let Kiri win!

    wha...?

And also, if you ever need custom content for your games, check the Game Dev shops; Gives people like me something to do ^^
  23. I thought that I had better double check this for myself, and I decided that the best way to do this was to scan it with all the anti-virus programs I know of. So, AVG first. It was relatively quick, even with a thorough scan; but it found no traces of infectious software (And AVG is notorious for false positives, becuase of it's rather overly constrictive virus detecting algorithms) Secondly, I used Norton, which also seemed to come back clean, and also has a nasty history of false positives, I should know; tried telling me that my "Dragon Age: Origins" disk had a trogan on it. I also scanned that disk several times to make sure with different programs, and only Norton was having a cow. Finally, I used Avast. This last one isn't as strict as the other two, with a lot more control given to the user in any case, but again, nothing was found? So it must have just been Avira. I might get it later and test Avira myself; can never have too many antivirus programs in my opinion. Any way, that's just my results. -Grimm
