Do you like the site's new Resolution?
GrimmHallows replied to FranklinX's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
Must admit, the resolution is perfect for my computers, all three of them. I'm not sure what it was before I came to this site, but to be honest, I really like it. While RKO-FRANKLIN complained about the grey background, personally, i think it adds a little bit of sophistication to the sites color scheme. Maybe it's just like that for me, but the new Res is working for me, so no problems. -
Thanks you are far too kind! it's not hard to come up with lyrics (which is why I'm saving money to buy Vocaloid to make even better Title themes for people) for me, but I admit I was a little hesitant as to where to stick this. I wasn't sure if it belonged here, but obviously my hunch was correct! :alright: I may post here regularly, if you want; it'd get my points up, and my songs are never the same twice. I might try and write music to the lyrics soon, but I'm still working on music For Lizze_S I hate the RTP Music . . . . :shok: I'm still taking a bit, but overall, I'm nearly finished. hopefully she will update it with her next version ^^ -Grimm

Call Me Scared, by Grimm Hallows I never would have thought it'd come this far, I never would have guessed we'd lose our sparks, The sky looks so cold without the stars, And I wonder where we are, I wonder where are, Who could have guessed this was how you feel? With so much pain and not even a single tear, I want to stand beside you when you cry, And I wonder where we are, I wonder where you are, Call Me Scared, But I'm afraid to lose you, Call me dead, But wait for the final hour, Call me fearless, Call me what you will, But when I stand in front of you, Don't think I'm not scared Dreams are so hard just to keep close, With all our strength we try not to lose our hope, Don't you think I'm leaving you tonight, And I wonder where we are, I wonder where we are, Call Me Scared, But I'm afraid to lose you, Call me dead, But wait for the final hour, Call me fearless, Call me what you will, But when I stand in front of you, Don't think I'm not scared Now I'm bleeding, And I'm seeing, Yet this feeling, It's relieving, It's like the moon is, Suddenly shining, Just for you, Guiding you, Call Me Scared, But I'm afraid to lose you, Call me dead, But wait for the final hour, Call me fearless, Call me what you will, But when I stand in front of you, Don't think I'm not scared Call me Horrified, When those bullets rain down, Call me when they all lie, And slander your name, Call me brave, In my last hours, But when I stand in front of you, I promise I won't tell you that I'm scared. -Grimm

I see! That's pretty, cool. Now that I understand that, I'll give it a quick shot tomorrow; Not tonight SO TIRED! I really hope to actually create a small demo like Lizzie_S' dungeon crawler game. That was way cool, and I've already started with music, and when it's all finished up tomorrow, I'll be sure to send it to her so she can add it. Thanks for all your help Kiri. :alright: -Grimm EDIT: Here is a "world Theme" for Lizzie_S game. I managed to figure it out! YAY ME!

I'll be honest, I have no idea how to add the media player, so I just use a download link Heh. You'll have to forgive me that.

Greetings! my name is Grimm Hallows, and I'm willing to make everyone music, largely so they can get rid of the not-so-great RTP music! As a musician, I love creating music, and while my talents are with looping programs like MAGIX Music maker 17, and Garage Band, I don't always use loops, creating entire songs through sheet music notation. I have provided a sample for you all to listen to; it's an example of a battle theme, with a "Starting effect". Battle Theme (With Starter).MP3 This is also another creation I have recently uploaded, made for the title or main theme of a game, or even overworld music for something www.k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/4i80c6au6c/epic_battle.mp3 Please review both! Without the starting effect for the first one, which is optional, the battle theme will repeat and loop over itself, creating a brilliant theme. I also do "overworld" themes, for when your character is not in battle, and just about anything else necessary to do with the Musical audio of RPG games. Simply request it an I'll make it as soon as possible, generally within a few days per song. This is completely for free, so feel free to either PM me, or simply reply; this thread will be monitored daily to make sure I'm not falling behind! -Grimm

AND THIS MUSIC SHALT BE BLESSED BY REAL MUSIC! I am already starting on it, and I'm loving the randomness. Lizzie, you really know how to make a guy like me happy . . . -laughs- :biggrin_002: I will be making several sets of songs, including several battle themes, partly so that if I make any bad ones, you can simply leave them out, and also, because I hope to see that you include a script with random battle music, or even world music. Would be interesting. . . . Eh, for now, I'll keep the world themes simple, with the real show stoppers being the battle themes! i hope to finish them by the end of the weekend! See you all around. -Grimm

Looking to assemble a team of Game Makers!
GrimmHallows replied to Kburns's topic in Early in Development
Hey there, I'm a new member myself, and a musician, mapper and eventer as well! i'd be happy to work with you on your new profect, and while I do not have a g-mail account, I have an hotmail account. If you want, I could help you, since I often have all the spare time in the world. Of course, I need to know what engine you are using exactly, and the rest of those details. I can write you some samples if you wish, although i already have some up here in the multimedia thread. I'm pretty good at eventing myself, and I figure things out fast, with both XP and VX (I bought both and I've messed with them enough to know how to do what i needed.) I hope you reply soon, I look forward to your response! Thanks in advance -Grimm -
Well, if anyone needs music, let me know!

And Chief, I've set an account just for people who want requests and such, grimmhallowsmusic@hotmail.com I'd be honored to assist you in the mod. I love writing music for games. I want to be an official Game Audio Composer for Bioware, or even Blizzard one day.

Well, since everyone seemed to like my music, I decided to write a battle theme for use in any projects anyone cares to have. Please, tell me what you think, and if you do end up using them, credit me. Most the battle themes I've made used guitar and rock instruments, so I went a bit out of my comfort zone and used an orchestral set of instruments. Here is a link, since it's over 4MB (It's 8 or over) I have the battle theme play over twice, to show it's repetition. Hope you all enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?fnh381oz60g37rg And any feedback is good feedback. No, remarkably just voice loops I found in Magix Music Maker Premium 17. Partially why I love it so much though; the vocals are great, and the strings sections and guitars sound like they should, because they are live recordings. Thank you for uploading them properly. Like I said, if you need any music for your RPG's, let me know. I'll be glad to make you music if only for the experience!

Aww, they are too big. I'll have to upload them to Mediafire, sorry. They are both here in a zip file. Hope you enjoy! -Grimm Weblink to mediafire.com Grimm Hallows Samples (Zip file)

Hey there! names Grimm. I like to think of myself as a sufficient composer when it comes to videogame music in general. If anyone at all needs music for thier games, and can't make thier own (And doesn't like the stuff you get with RPG XP/VX) I'm more than willing to make some music for you guys and girls. looking forward to any requests. I can do any style, from epic cutscene overtures, to subtle simple underground themes, to monster Boss battle tunes, to simple village themes. If you are interested let me know. I'd be glad to help! -Grimm

Hey Kellessdee You could use Magix music maker 17; has some pretty epic stuff in there Heck, it even has a sound effect called "epic" which is that wall of background noise you get in movies sometimes, like LotR (Lord of the Rings) It's pretty cool, and when I can I'll upload a small sample for you, if you want. -Grimm

Hey there. Whenit comes to music and composition, I prefer to use a combination of Sibelius and Magix music maker 17. Magix music maker has a few midi files and has the capabilities to edit these loops to how you want them. of course, if you want something completely original from scratch, and are feeling a little bit moer sophisticated, Sibelius 6 is the way to go. But personally, I prefer Magix Music Maker 17; only when you buy some extra sound packs though. The "Moviescore" sound sets from 15, 16 and 17 are amazing and filled with violins, harps and pianos. And the Chillout sound pack includes a lot of acoutsic guitar loops that work well as ambient music. Finally, if you need a good heavy guitar, it's there in both the Breakbeat and Alternate Rock sound packs. These are all included with MAGIX Music Maker 17 . . . Any way, that's enough from me. -Grimm

Hey, names Grimm Hallows, I'm pretty new to RPG Maker VX. I've learned most the basics of eventing, and mapping is easy enough for me. I sort of have no idea how to make or use scripts, or how to make sprites. Never fninshed a game before, but hoping to soon. See you all around.
