      Well, it's not real 3D, it's fake 3D. All you need to do is render a 3D model, take a 2d picture, and bam you have a 'faux 3D sprite'. Some old school games were made like this, can't remember any off the top of my head though. It's super hard on the engine, and increase file size massively, but worth it if done well.There are definitely 3D tilesets for rmxp out there.
