  3. Sounds good to me, I've done some pretty big changes I think improved the game already from earlier versions after people gave me some good feedback, so feedback is always welcome.
  4. The download is updated. I've been improving the ambient sounds and general BGS of the game (alot), I've also made small improvements (hopefully) in a lot of old areas, like adding creatures to the jungle, made some small changes to the intro, and a couple of other things. Basically I've tried to make the demo as good as it can possibly be. Apart from that, I've haven't really added much new stuff (finished the 3rd dream), but what's there should be pretty much the same quality through the whole thing. If not, feel free to tell me. I'm feeling good about this release.

  6. I'm glad you brought up the audio. The last week I haven't actually added much new stuff. Instead I have been working on a area that I love in horror games. Ambient sounds. If you ask me, this is the difference between a good horror and a great horror. It's the kind of sound that nobody will ever thank you for adding, but it adds SO much to the experience. Try playing virtually any great horror game without the sound and you will see what I mean. I just love those distant moans and groans, buildings that creak and insects that buzz in the background.

  10. Well, it's supposed to be horror, so I'm glad the images does it justice. Also, yeah It's pretty short.
  11. Made some much needed edits to the game! Intro is shorter and I moved some of it to later parts of the game, some parts are easier (most notably last area), there's a new area, and the ending is longer.

  14. I am aware there are a couple of bugs towards the end of the demo. I will probably not upload a fixed version, since I'd rather spend the time that would take on finishing the actual game. Hopefully this won't ruin anyones experience too much. Let's go back in time, to the year 1913. We're going to follow the story of a normal, but yet not so normal family. It all started when the family inherited a big mansion from the mothers now deceased uncle. They weren't rich by any means, but they also inherited quite a bit of money. So they thought: "Wow, living in a mansion, let's try it out!" Ah, the young and foolish. Would there be any stories to tell without them? Alright kids, let grandma Agatha guide you through this night of horror. You like scary stories, don't you? Because if you don't... Shoo! Go away! This game is something I made for a contest in which you were required to finish a game in one week. The contest in question was GIAW XI and it finished in 3rd place. The game plays much like games such as "The Crooked Man", The Witch's House, or Mermaid Swamp, although being made in a single week, the quality and length of the game is somewhat lower. In this update: Loooots of visual improvements, Real world still very sparse, but I finished the town and a few NPCs including the shop, plus a couple of houses. One new dreamworld, more story, new entry sequence when you enter a dreamworld for the first time (only for the 2 first ones so far) and lots more. I would love some feedback on anything regarding the game!
  18. Another week, another update. I've had a lot of time to put on the game lately, so I can actually put out 2 updates in a week. Actual story progression and intro rework, too.
  19. Various items, stamina boosts, new stuff in shops, that kind of stuff . No items that replenish it, but there will be ways to increase the max stamina. I'll probably add some kind of indication that the character is tired too. It's not on the upper part of the list of things to do right now though.
  20. Made some major changes to the demo. Removed some of the dreamworlds and completed the first temple world, complete with new creatures and the first boss. Beating the first boss and exiting the temple will now also end the demo, so there are two ways to finish the demo now, either through buying the statue in the shop or completing the dream segments. The reason I made these changes is because the dreamworld was a mess before, and not very representative of how it will play in the final game. This should give anyone playing the demo a better idea of how it will work. For those who played the first version, the places I removed will still be in the game, they will just appear in later worlds. So consider those places sneak peeks into other parts of the game.
  21. Uploaded a demo (in main post). The demo mostly shows the gameplay and not much of the story. If you feel that something could be improved or if you find any bugs or grammar fails please let me know.
