  1. Reap and Sow is a mixture of a farming sim and dungeon explorer. Explore your own mind by entering your dreams. Take care of a farm during the day. The dreamworld will be split into 12 parts, each with a distinctive look: Abandoned temples, dark forests, insane asylums, underground tunnels and much more. Each dreamworld ends with a boss. The dreamworld will tie into the real world and you can use some crops that you grow in your farm to affect the dreamworld (mostly the mushrooms you can grow later). Some items from the real world can also be used in the dreamworld. You start with almost nothing except a few seeds, and from there you must expand with more plants and even livestock. Short story synopsis You and everyone in the village you live in have all been turned into living skull dolls. You have no memory of how or why this happened. Your goal is to find out what happened and if possible reverse it. Somehow you feel like your dreams can help you accomplish this. 2. Four friends from the same university go out camping together. But while gathering firewood, strange sounds can be heard from the forest. After that, things get gradually worse. This is the classic camping-trip-gone-wrong movie from the eighties made into a RPG Maker game. It features a minimalistic soundtrack, with mainly the ambiance of the forest and all the creatures in it accompanying you in the increasingly dark forest. I recommend turning off all lights, pulling down the blinds and putting on headphones for maximum enjoyment. Playtime is roughly 20 minutes. Story is based upon the Skinwalker creature and the stories surrounding it. Screenshots Download Here
  3. Humanity is on the brink of destruction due to the enviroment being damaged by humanity. So what humanity starts building a huge spaceship, which will travel to a planet found far away which is likely to be able to harbor humanity. And that is where the story starts. The gameplay in After Man is mainly focused on exploration and solving puzzles. Initially you are in control of a unnamed human after the spaceship carrying the hope of humanity landed on the new planet. But there is already life on this planet and it may not be as peaceful as one would have hoped, as you will soon discover... The idea for this game is something I got when i read two books by the Scottish geologist and author, Dougal Dixon. The books in question is: "After Man: A Zoology of the Future" and "Man After Man: An Anthropology of the Future". I highly recommend them if you're into sci-fi or are interested in how humanity could end up in the future. 4. Started working on this again for serious a while back, updated demo with lots of new content.
  5. Yeah it's pretty neat having some proof of yourself getting better at the whole gamemaking buisness. You can really tell which areas you made improvements on. I've improved my grammar, for example, which is not the first thing you think of when you hear of gamemaking. Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my old games. They could probably use a fixing up one of these days but I get these nostalgic feelings whenever I look at all their flaws.
  6. I'm on it! I have a new website: http://owlgame.webs.com/ The site will contain all of my old finished games. It will also serve as information center for all of my games, especially Siris’ Inferno. Screenshots, downloads, music and other goodies will be going there. There is also a blog which I will update with minor stuff like new sprites and other things that I feel like sharing that isn’t important enough to clutter other places with.
  7. Yes, there will be more characters. Many will be temporary, given that they reside in one circle of hell, but a few might pop up here and there.
  8. I've been reading "The Divine Comedy", which describes hell pretty vividly. And while there have been many games that have visited hell, not many have really gone past "demons are evil, here are some to kill". So I felt that it would be interesting to not only make a game where the goal is not to just go around killing demons while in hell, but actually get a real feel for what hell could be like. Picking the adventure game genre came naturally after that ( I also have some experience with this genre, so that's another bonus). Hell being a really interesting place visually, and me being able to make some really cool creatures and enviroments also added to the decision, I am not ashamed to say.
  9. It's fine that you ask questions, in fact; I like when people do. It shows that they are interested. So to answer the question: The gameplay will be something like a mix between Corpse Party and Machinarium. The game will be driven by exploration and puzzle-solving, with a heavy focus on story telling. There will be enemies, but no battles. Often, if you get caught by a enemy, you are dead. I'm working on pathfinding and other mechanics to make this as exciting as possible, so that for example you can't just hide behind a wall and the enemy won't be able to catch you. The idea is that you have to outsmart them, either by trapping them somehow, sneaking past them, or pretty much whatever mechanics I come up with.
  10. Not very far. I'm at the first circle of hell. I might release a demo sometime when I have enough for it, though. I just want to find a good spot to start it.
  11. Death. The end of everything. That is, unless you believe in some kind of afterlife. Hell is one such afterlife, and it's probably the most unpleasant one. The inhabitants are constantly tortured and maimed by demons. It is either burning hot or icy cold, and the deeper down you go, the worse it gets. The inhabitants shriek in agony while demons rule as they please. Meet our protagonist, Siris. She is a pretty ordinary young girl. But one day, her soul is stolen and cast into hell. Now, if she wishes to keep living and evade having to spend eternity in hell, she must travel the nine circles of hell and bring her soul back. Siris' Inferno is going to be an adventure/puzzle game. The game will be using original graphics and music custom-made for this game. While there will obviously be some religion present, It's not going to focus on the religious aspects of hell at all. Obviously there will be figures and enviroments FROM religion, but I'm not trying to sell any religion here. I just want to make a awesome game in a awesome setting. Characters (WIP) Siris A young girl who lost her soul and now unwillingly have to descend into hell. Inventive and easy-going. Rehidiel A bored succubus that helps Siris. The reason? According to Rehidiel she wants to see if a mortal will survive traversing hell. Probably just looking for entertainment. Screenshots Demo http://www.mediafire.com/?97w5onb46houw65
  12. Final release of Miserere done. No new content will be released, ever. Bugs should be gone, mostly. Download in main post.
  13. Thank you, Pyramid_head. I do hope you find it enjoyable. Such a rain of compliments, you make me blush! I can only hope you will think no less of me after you played the game.
  14. Hello there! Long time lurker here, finally deciding to share something. I have been workin on a game heavily inspired by the game Yume Nikki (if you don't know what it is, read this and do yourself a favor and download it). I have tried to keep what was fun in YN and improve on what was less fun, like walking in a straight line for 5 minutes. I have also tried to add my own flavour, and it is by no means a carbon copy. There are short story segments, for example, and there are no effects to be found. Instead i added a few puzzles and challenges. Short story introduction In Miserere you explore the dreams of a lonely space station occupant. The unnamed occupant have been on this station for years, all alone. Needless to say, this has taken its toll on our poor protagonists mind. This occasionally shows in the dreams. Gameplay The game relies heavily on atmosphere and mood to keep the player interested. You explore the mind of our protagonist via 4 possible pathways, which branch out, when you enter the dreamworld. The main focus lies in exploration and uncovering the past of the protagonist. There are a few puzzles among the way, which are usually not too hard. Thank you A special thank you to Papasan96, who have been proofreading the game. Also a special thank you to Epitonic, which I got most of my music from. Screenshots Next, the thing which probably will decide if you, the one reading this, will be playing it. Download: Miserere v1.02 (Final) Mac: Jammed Gears on youtube ported Miserere to Mac! Check it out here (download link in description); Changelog: v1.02 changelog Thank you for reading!
