that's tricky. Its easy to make an item that hits 50% hp. You can make at attack with a common event that removes a set person from battle,but unless the party members are in a fixed position,sense the common event hots party member 1.,2.,3.,or 4.

Make sure the background is all one color,plus with you import the image right-click the back ground and left click any parts you want semi-transparent,or just the background,too. Remember,there are over 40 identical shades of white. Use "Paint Fill" to check to see if the background is all the same color.

Okay just so there's not a whole lot of confusion,I drew a map of Valerie's world. The pink path is the story order of visitation.

Part 7: The group is forced to take a different and longer route back to Lindain. Since they entered Daurius City from west entrance,and they were chased out the north entrance. The soldiers hot on their trail,they decide to head into the mountains along Daurius's northern border to lose the soldiers. As they climb,the air becomes really cold all of the sudden,Valerie's Hand-Made Coat is no longer enough to protect her from the elements. Add that to the stress of running all day night from the enemy soldiers,and she becomes sick and collapses. The archer and the female knight carry her to nearby Osweine Village. After three days of sleep,Valerie finally wakes up;the knight and archer looking over her. An old woman comes in with food for them. While eating,they hear screams from outside. Feyrbrand is walking into the village.Valerie's group rushes out to confront him,but Feyrbrand showed no interest in fighting. He approaches Valerie and stops. He just stands there like a statue,holding an unconscious Ninian in his arms. The archer points out that Ninian has a high fever. They take her from Feyrbrand and put her in a bed and treat her fever. She wakes up several hours later,with Valerie's group leaning over her,weapons ready. Her eyes wide with fear. They interrogate her. After her pathetic defeat,the emperor exiled her from the capital,so she wanted to find Valerie and reclaim her honor. She followed Valerie's group into mountains,got lost,and fainted from exhaustion. For some reason,Feyrbrand picked her up and continued pursuit. She simply told him to find Valerie,so that's why he's just standing there,awaiting for more orders. Ninian realizes that Valerie's group could've easily killed her while she was passed out,and she has a change of heart. To everyone's surprise,she volunteers to join their group. (New Characters:) Ninian is a mage-like character with several magic attacks. Her melee attacks,however,are less mediocre. Feyrbrand is slave character that can only be controlled via Ninian's skills. He has strong melee skills,but no long-ranged or magic skills.

Part 6: The group is now in the capital city of Daurius,Emperor Herion's castle can be seen off in the distance. Word of the raid on Seyren Fortress has reached the city,and the entire city is on watch for Valerie and her group.However,Not everyone in the city is loyal to Herion. There is already a resistance movement brewing against the emperor,and they are eager to enlist Valerie and her friends into their group. While sneaking through the city,Valerie is approached by a small girl,she whispers for them to follow her. She leads them to an abandoned tavern. In the basement,they find a group of militia. They greet Valerie happily as the hero who defeated General Roland,and they beg her to help them defeat the emperor as well. She agrees of course. After nightfall,Valerie,her group,and the militia head down to a large tunnel which leads into the castle's sewer system.(The cleric secretly warns the enemy of their arrival,yet again.) They emerge inside the dungeon,which is strangely empty except for the prisoners. Valerie picks the lock on the dungeon's steel door,and they enter castle's side hallway. Suddenly,out of now where,a fire ball shoots to wards them,which Valerie blocks with her light shield. A young girl shouts,"Feyrbrand! Attack!",and a knight wearing black armor and a gigantic sword lunges at Valerie. The girl's name is Ninian,she is a warlock and Feyrbrand is her minion. The female knight blocks for Valerie and stabs Feyrbrand through the heart;he doesn't even flinch,and continues to attack relentlessly,despite her lance still in his chest. Realizing that Ninian is controlling Feyrbrand,Valerie proceeds to capture her. Ninian shoots fire balls,which are easily dodged,and Valerie grabs her and puts her knife at her throat,and orders her to call off her knight. Ninian has no choice,she calls off Feyrbrand. He halts in place,appearing almost dead. The female knight quickly retrieves her lance from Feyrbrand's chest,which he still shows no acknowledgment of;the wound heals instantly. They tie up Ninian with a gag in her mouth to prevent her from ordering around her knight and leave her in the hallway.She lets out many muffled,frustrated screams. They proceed to the main hall when they are ambushed again. This time by almost the entire imperial army. A very fat man emerges on a balcony above them,laughing. It's Emperor Herion. One of the generals orders them to surrender or die. The emperor thanks the cleric for bringing Valerie to him. Valerie and the militia turn to him with a shocked and horrified look. The cleric laughs evilly. Black wings shoot out of his back,and he flies upward and lands by Herion's side. The militia calls the cleric a traitor and spreads out in defense of Valerie. They begin to fight a hopeless battle,min while herding Valerie toward the upstairs window,so she can escape. Valerie,the archer,and the female knight are shoved out the window,and they reluctantly escape,leaving the militia to fight to the death. Valerie's group flees through the castle courtyard and scales the outer wall. With no choice,but to keep running,the group decides to head to back to Lindain for safety. More to come!

Part 5: The group comes to Seyren Fortress. It was built on a stone bridge over Ena's Canyon. There are four identical forts at each of the four sides of the capital. They work as a filter against invaders. Unknowing to the group,the cleric has warned the enemy in advance. While attempting to pass through unnoticed,the group is ambushed and locked in a jail cell inside the fort. This is where Seth first appears. He has been waiting for a chance to sneak into the capital for some time and sees their capture as the perfect distraction to get through.(There are a lot of very rich people in the capital.) As a favor for this,he appears briefly outside their jail cell and slyly offers to unlock the door...for all the money they have on them! ;) Valerie and the group is appalled at his greed,but reluctantly,they agree. The door is made special. It comes down from upstairs through the ceiling so the lock is actually in a room directly above them. The player now has control over Seth and goes upstairs to free the group. Once Seth has unlocked the door,control switches back to Valerie. Now the group heads to the storage area to retrieve their weapons and armor. After that,they proceed through the fort. As the reach the exit,they are confronted by an enemy general. The enemy general is considerably stronger than the turtle boss,but he is only human. Once worn down,he retreats. The path is now clear. The group heads into the capital. (Special Character: Seth is a thief of identical abilities to Valerie with exception to her magic,of course. He is only playable while Valerie is locked up or otherwise incapacitated.) More soon!

Story Part 4: The party leaves Furran after burying the rest of the bodies.Advancing closer to the capital where the emperor is. However,the main road to the capital is under surveillance,so they decide to take a "small detour" through Marius Cave. The cave is filled with monsters,however,they are nothing compared to the might of the emperor's army. The cave is long,almost like a maze,toward the end of the cave,they encounter a giant...uh..turtle!(Yes,a turtle!A fire-breathing turtle!) A young female knight in service to the emperor is already there fighting it. She was given the task of slaying the creature as a means of proving herself to the emperor. However,As powerful as she is,it is obviously she is no match for the monster. Realizing she has no chance of winning on her own,she comes to a grim conclusion:the emperor sent her there to be killed. It is then she sees Valerie's group,and pleads for help. Valerie and the group unanimously decide to help her,despite her being an enemy soldier. After wearing it down some,it becomes apparent that Valerie must tap into her power once again. With the giant turtle destroyed,the knight falls on one knee in front of Valerie. In return for saving her life,she swears her loyalty to Valerie,and casts off her oath to protect the emperor as well as discarding her imperial tabard.(A tabard is a colorful cloth that medieval soldiers wear over their armor to show what army they're with;for those who've never played WoW.) Now the four of them leave the cave and continue onward to the capital. (The knight's weapon:) She wields a lance with a long chain attached and has short sword at her hip. She harpoons her enemies with the lance,reels them in with the chain,and then decapitates them with the sword;a very vicious fighting style. (Map Screen uses:) She can hook the lance into a far ledge,and use the chain to cross over. More to come in the next part.

Just don't feed her people food. The cat knows when she's hungry,I use a plastic feeder,it's like a vertical tube attached to a bowl,and the dry food falls into the bowl as the bowl is emptied.

Anti-Freeze is a liquid you pour in a car during cold weather to prevent the engine from freezing. However,it is LETHAL to cats! It tastes really good to them and it has a sweet smell,so they would drink it in a second,but it will kill them in less than a week. It slowly destroys their immune system,makes them go blind,and deaf,and lose control of their bladder and bowels,full body paralysis! They start vomiting blood and die. Also,keep the chips away from the cat,she'll get diabetes like mom's cat Suzy. Mom used to feed Suzy table scaps,then Suzy got really fat and diabetic,so mom changed her diet,this is what really killed Suzy. NEVER change a cat's diet. You start buying 9 lives and Friskey's,then switch to some cheap generic crap,they could get really sick. Stick with the same brand of cat food,always.

o.o... *confiscates Nisage's cats* Three in one month...!? Are they outdoor cats? My cats are all indoors. The outside is too dangerous for them,we learned that after Eric was hit by a car,and my sister's cat,Cutiehoney,drank antifreeze. With all the cats inside,our average cat life span increased to 17 years easy. With exception of Vash who had kidney failure.

he's a high level demon in disguise,he can bathe in holy water,dance inside a church,even pray to God. He can certainly use any weapon he wants.Plus its easy to hide a straight sword inside a healing staff. He can also use healing magic. He's like the wolf in sheep's clothing. In the Bible,demons hid themselves as clergy all the time,even the devil appears as an angel of light.

The bathroom smells like death,and i can't sleep for anything. Something about her being in the other room....Just...rotting..Have to wait until dawn to bury her,though. Do cats always die at night? All my cats seem to die at night.,well except Eric(age:4),who was hit by car, and his brother Aaron(age:17),he was put to sleep by the vet,when he got really sick,and they said,"He's not going to make it,we put him to sleep no charge,if you want."

Time of Death: 2:30 AM. She is the third cat of mine to die in my presence. Sylvia died of leukemia(age:19),Vash died of kidney failure(age:2),and this cat,Mandy(age:18),died of a tumor in her stomach. Cat's make the most horrible yowling sound,when the die. It was awful.. "Roooowwl Rooowwl Roowwl..." She was squirming and squirming,and then...nothing. Though...she didn't void her bowels...both my other cats voided their bowels. Course that tumor in her stomach might be why.. The whole day she was in a coma-like state,barely even twitching;she'd wag her tail some. I figured the cancer might've spread to her brain,paralyzing her. Oddly enough,my other cat still hisses at her body,even though she's dead.

lol demons ARE sacrilegious by nature. Most clerics carry a crucifix.

Demons are supposed to offend people. They are demons after all. Jesus would want to vanquish the demon. Especially a demon posing as a cleric.

The way I had some of my characters learn skills was by requently using weaker skills. Like using Fire1 several times to learn Fire2. By attaching a counting variable in a common event to a skill,you can keep track how many times a character uses a skill. Then attach a braunch to add a skill when that other skill is used a set amount of times.

Part 3 of my story: After hearing her aunt's story,Valerie decides to go pay the emperor a visit,and hopefully find her brother and avenge her grandfather. The aunt gives Valerie the item: Hand-Made Coat,a none-usable item which protects her against lightly cold weather. The first in many coat-type items to protect Valerie from harsh weather. She also receives home-made cookies and an apple pie,and some money,which will help buy more food later on. Along the way to to the Emperor's castle,Valerie is forced to cross through a dense,dark forest. It's there she is attacked by a wolf,when she is rescued by a passing archer;the wolf escapes. The archer offers to protect Valerie while she is in the forest. While nearing the forest's edge,they are confronted by the wolf again,this time it brought friends. Surrounded by wolves,Valerie's power emerges again,incinerating all the wolves. The archer is in awe. He/she,then,asks Valerie about her magical ability. Valerie explains about herself and her quest. Now interested,the archer decides to go with her. Unknown to them,they were being watched by a demon disguised as a cleric. The cleric gives an evil and mischievous smile. Having cleared the forest,they arrive in Furran village;a village presumably devastated by the emperor's wrath,the smell of blood hangs thickly in the air. Ravaged bodies are everywhere,pecked and gnawed on by crows and wild dogs. In mist the destruction,there is a lone cleric digging graves,burying the bodies one by one.(The same one seen briefly from earlier.) He tells Valerie and the archer that this village was destroyed by the emperor's soldiers. (This is a lie,however,as the story unfolds,the player finds out that the cleric destroyed the village,and the cleric is a servant of the emperor,and he destroyed the village as part of his cover story. In actuality,he is after Valerie's power,wanting to absorb it,and become emperor himself.) Valerie tells the cleric about her village,and her brother,and the emperor's evil plan. The cleric,then,offers to join in their quest. (Side Character info: The cleric's weapon is a staff shaped like a crucifix,externally it appears to by a holy weapon,but it is actually just a sheath,hidden inside is a sword of destruction. There is deeper Biblical meaning behind it,when a crucifix is turned upside down,it resembles a sword.) I'll post part four later. Tell me what you think,about this part,too.

Yeah but his story SOUNDS like he pulled it out of one of those story generators. We can use some of of it though,I can rewrite it to include my idea,too. He didn't even include the part about her being a thief. Continuation of my story: You start of on the streets of Lindain City,you quickly notice the hunger and body temperature meter,which are running low. This forces the player to pickpocket money or take food from the vending stands,or to sneak into buildings to keep warm. While venturing through the city at night,Valerie stops and notices the most heavenly smell coming from the Royal Palace.Freezing and hungry,she sneaks into the palace against her better judgment. While raiding the kitchen,she is captured by the prince.During brutal interrogation in the dungeon,the prince is interrupted by his little sister. With the threat of being "told on",the prince is forced to release Valerie. Afterwords,the princess and Valerie become good friends. The next day,princess introduces Valerie to her father,the King,and the prime minister. The prime minister notices Valerie's strange hair and eye color,and believes her to be related to an old woman who lives just outside the city. After receiving supplies,Valerie leaves the city to meet her. Once there,the old woman immediately recognizes Valerie's name is the same as her sister's baby. The old woman then tells Valerie about how her village was destroyed,and how Valerie became an orphan. She also tells her about her brother her was abducted during the raid. The evil emperor is gathering people rumored to possess extraordinary magical abilities. Valerie's grandfather was one such person,who fought for the emperor's father during the great war,slaughtering thousands of enemy soldiers. However,during the peaceful aftermath,her grandfather mellowed after becoming a father,and retired to the small village,where Valerie was born many years later. It was that power,the new emperor eagerly wanted to obtain,when he sent his men to attack the village. I'll post more later. Let me know what you think.

I like my story better.Can we at least use this as an intro? I spent a lot of time on it. (Repost in order) The opening scene shows soldiers raiding a small village. They're looking for a special family who incredibly strong magic to use them as weapons. The family consists of a grandfather,a 12 year old boy,Philip,and a baby. (The baby is Valerie,the main hero.) The grandfather interupts the enemy soldiers' raid on the village. He looks like the harmless old man,110-Civilian10,and then he transforms. He casts a youth spell on himself,making him 50 years younger,but still with gray hair. The spell he casts is a suicide spell,that restores his body to when he was at his strongest for a short time. He takes up his sword and starts slaughtering enemy soldiers left and right. Finally,He reaches the enemy general,who has crapped his pants by this point. Suddenly,He just stops moving with his sword two inches from the general's face. The grandfather is dead in full rigermortis,still standing in attack position. Minwhile,the boy escapes,with the soldiers in hot pursuit,the boy is forced to abandon the baby on the doorstep of the nearest ophanage. The soldiers,unaware of that he was even carrying a baby,continue chasing the boy and pass the ophanage without a second glance. Soon after they catch the boy,they take him back to their castle and brain wash him into being their king's slave. (Philip later becomes one of the final bosses.) Sadly,the orphanage the boy left Valerie at was just a little better than Hell itself. The child is mistreated severely and beaten within an inch of her life for the slightest disobediences. This is where she learns how to be a cautious thief who never gets caught. One day,she is attacked and punished by one of the "enforcers" and out of sheer terror she subconsciously puts up her light shield,knocking back the enforcer flat on his butt. In pure rage,the enforcer shouts,"WITCH!",and goes in the for the killing blow with his night stick. An older blind boy,Lucas,immediately jumps in and blocks the attack with his walking stick. The boy grabs her hand and they take off running. They reach a back room with a high window,he quickly lifts her up so she can escape. Unfortunately,life on the outside isn't much better than at the orphanage. Wandering through the city alone,she is forced to fend for herself. (This is where the player first takes control. With her light shield already equipped.) (Extra Character) Seth Aiken,the rival thief. Seth plays an important role,he is a random event character who seems to show up when ever Valerie is caught in a trap. He,then,offers his assistance,for a small fee of course! Seth also likes to loot areas is Valerie is too slow in getting to them. She will often find an empty chest or two with a note that says,"Seth was here." Seth is sly and crafty,and when surrounded by enemies,he will suddenly use a smoke bomb and disappear leaving Valerie all alone to take care of them! He has no real loyalty to anyone except his own wallet. Only if he is cornered by enemies with no way out,will he actually fight back. His attacks are lightning fast,but very weak,which is why he likes to avoid fighting when possible. He's an opportunist,he sneaks after Valerie,when she has already cleared a path,and the guard is weak. As the story develops,Seth becomes infatuated by Valerie after seeing her use her magic. He begins to appear more and more often,explaining each encounter as "pure chance". In one case,we could have Seth become a playable character and rescues Valerie from a trap,or maybe protects her from monsters when she is knocked unconscious.

a more insidious villian,is that crippled guy from Wild Arms 2. That guy was sick. He financially fonded both the bad guys and good guys at the same time,and pitted them against each other. However,his actions brought about world peace in a single week. Nothing causes countries to stop fighting like an attack from a third faction. The ultimate villian can unite the world against him/her. (Spoiler warning!) Another type of villian,has humanity's best interest at heart. Like the Spiral King in Gurran Laggun. He kept humanity underground because of the time bomb that was place on the moon. "When one million people inhabit the planet's survace,the moon will become hell's messenger." Basically,if one million people appeared on the surface of the Earth,the bomb would go off,crashing the moon into the Earth. That's why the Spiral King drove humans underground,to keep them alive. Though,he used fear and intimidation to scare them underground,which wasn't very smart. Arrogantly,he fights Simon thinking he'll kill him with no problem and it will be the ultimate message to keep the humans underground,but Simon kills him. Seven years later,the above ground population reaches one million,and like clockwork,the apocalypse starts!

Another thing that can make a villain is a big misunderstanding with the good guys. Like in Romeo and Juliet,the Monteques and the Capulates,neither family is evil,they just hate each other based on some age-old feud. Also in Pretear,the dark princess's knight chooses to be at her side,out of love for her. Eventually,he dies protecting her,and it's then she realizes her mistakes and becomes good again.
