Gameplay: This is what would keep me with the game, keep it Music and Sounds: how well these are used affect what mood I am in Storyline: something more original than "The princess got captured, go save her," Unique items: you can use the original items like Bronze Sword, but give it a good/fun description In-Depth Characters: this includes NPCs not saying the same thing over and over again.

we could do something similar to what Legend of Zelda: OoS/OoA did (the password cheat system) for the Genie system. I could also set it up so that no two passwords are the same if you start a new game. Like password to get spells for game 1: 15897 password to get spells for game 2: 22389 and so on. EDIT: @Jesse66126: if it gets the point across the table it should be fine :D

whatever you choose, I am willing to go for it. as for my skills... I have some decency in mapping and eventing. I am hoping to get better. ;)

I want to create an inventory for each character in the game I am making. Not all characters can hold the same amount of stuff. Some can hold more, some less what I want to do to access a particular character's inventory is menu->inventory/items-> select character from current party Example: Character 1: can hold 20 items Character 2: can hold 30 items so on... A method to check for items in a particular character's inventory would help as well

Current Cast of Characters as of 4-27-2009 Kari- Cast out of her home in Arcilla, she starts to travel to a place that will accept her Lia- The only friend that Kari has once she leaves her home. She has a very short temper, and hates perverts. Marico - At heart he is a good man.... He is still a pervert none-the-less. Has been locked away in her own tower with her own servents. Draconis- Not very much is known about this quiet man who found Tatsu in the Arcane Tower Still accepting people for making maps/events, and possible Scripters

I will say that I started with the RPGmaker series with VX, and I changed to XP after looking around the block a few times, (but I didnt get rid of VX... with reason) It really depends on whether you want more control or more ease of use. Pros of VX Ease of use Dungeon Generator boat, ship and airship are already made makes GREAT world maps (<- thats why I still have it- design world maps, then work in details) Faceplates (this can still be done with XP with scripting as stated earlier) Auto Events Cons of VX 256 icons for skills AND items AND states. 5 tilesets, first page consisting of many autotiles, cant increase this number DOES NOT LAYER WELL (I like being able to use layers) Cannot increase the amount of tiles in any given tileset Pros of XP Layering Tileset size doesn't matter (just a width) directional limiters (you can set these with what direction they can move on any given tile) plenty of resources to look at Cons of XP not as simple as VX (honestly, thats my only complaint)

A mage tower in the snowy Gravas Mountains known as Xavier Tower holds a special artifact, said to only be useable by two chosen mages, one with a fire in her soul and one with the gentle soul like the push of an ocean wave. These two are said to be able to use the artifact to enter into the spirit planes of the elements and reactivate their powers. Our story begins with the young girl whose heart is filled with a burning flame of quests for knowledge of understanding.
