I could get together with you Ark and we could probably hammer out some details. EDIT: Added you on AIM.

College or High School student that's on their semi-large list. Oh, and a Windows Live account. *hugs* -

I use DreamSpark. It's from Microsoft and because I'm verified, I get access to their software. Granted, not Ultimate version of 2010, but the Professional is all I need. *hugs Zeriab* -
Learn C# first, then you can learn Java. They have such similar syntaxes that it's insane. One of the reasons I say learn C# first is because of the Integrated Development Environment that C# has. It might not be perfect, but it's better then most Java IDE's.

C# has the XNA Game Studio that you can utilize if you want. There's plenty of tutorials out there. If you want to get your hands dirty then go with something like C or C++ where you need to manage a heck of a lot more. However, if you're just starting then I'd go with C#; managed language, object oriented and does a great deal of stuff for you behind the scenes. A great way to step into programming.

ArkMessenger Public Beta

Not -impossible-, but with my skill level at the time it certainly would've been impossible. To all: The system is being rewritten from scratch to attempt to clean it up some. I doubt anyone will use it at this point simply because of the lax of an actual server to use it on (yeah..Windows server or perhaps could get away with a Linux box running Mono..dunno) and that I can't continually update it like I'd like to. I suppose things will be different when I get more free time and get a lot of the nasty core work done. Asynchronous Methods while multi-threading is no easy task. -

...this is exactly why when I write programs, they go Open Source and licensed under the GNU GPL v3 License...

I date because I want to get to know someone on a deeper level then just friends permits in society (at least here). In dating, I suppose it's a way of finding out more about not only the one you are dating, but about yourself. I found out a lot about myself after dating two or three different girls. Did I think we were going to get married? No, and neither did she. Unrealistic goals that we knew from the start probably wouldn't happen weren't set, therefore when we did break up (due to compatibility issues, or the relationship ran its' course, etc), it wasn't nasty and we remained as friends, realizing that it wasn't meant to be for us. That's my opinion. Dating is just a way for two people to eventually find the right person to be with....terrible summary of my post, but yeah.

Aftermath

I looked up and noticed Leon calling over to me and walked over to him, broom still in hand. "Haven't seen anyone else around, but I think I just heard someone shouting at us." I shrugged and began sweeping again, that being the best thing I could do right now. "I wonder where everyone else is, hopefully we can get some assistance in cleaning up this mess..." I sighed and continued sweeping at the never ending amount of rubble. -

*eventually reaches the Cafe, broom still in hand* "Hello? Is anybody there?" I called out, hoping to find someone. Until I hear a response though, I'll just sit down and start sweeping up some rubble and hope to get the wreckage cleaned up eventually. -

Aftermath
formlesstree4 replied to Enigma's topic in Role Playing, Interactive Story Telling & Forum Games
I caught the broom that Enigma threw at me and started to sweep a few things up, trying to find the floor in the debris when I noticed some activity towards the Cafe. Taking the broom along and with nothing else to lose, I began the small journey over to the Cafe, hoping that there were more survivors left in the aftermath of it all. There was one question constantly repeating itself: "How on earth did it come to this?"
