Mapping Tips/Suggestions for a Wasteland?
Yokuto Akiyama replied to Kitsuki's topic in Engine Discussion
Thanks, glad you like it! It wasn't really all that hard to do; I might do a tutorial some time for my Youtube and put it on here. -
I guess you could put in common events if you really wanted to...

Stratagus on Rpg Maker Vx Ace
Yokuto Akiyama replied to Michael Anthony Gamoras's topic in General Game Development
Do you need a song writer? I can make a song or two. I'll do it to help out and for the experience. -
So hey you guys, I figured I'd start a new game. Storyline/Synopsis There are five kingdoms on the five-sided continent of Bergensis, and they are all fighting to claim the mountain in the middle. Mt. Magnon, as it's called, is the topic of many myths. Some say it's home to the secret of Terramagnum, a planet fallen victim to interplanetary invasion and exploded across the galaxy. Some say it's full of the mythical element Fluoricide, a substance known to double a person's magical ability and give them a powerful bite. This game will be the final chapter of the Elden Saga. Main Characters Jerry Nubian Jerry is a 12-year old boy from the town of Sandbrush, Sikuno. He can wield many weapons, from gauntlets to axes. He has a calm approach to life. The Sage Even he doesn't know his birth name. He is also from Sandbrush. He uses fire magic in combat and admits he can be a bit overprotective. (more will be added on the game page) Scripts/Systems Mostly default, with weapon skills and pixel-movement Credit Credit to Enterbrain for most of the graphics DerVVulfman for the battle equip thing ForeverZer0 for the advanced title and weapon skills Dubealex for the message system Cogwheel? (i think that's his name) for the pixel-movement ----------------------- Nintendo for some of the soundfonts used The creators of the SGM soundfont ----------------------- I might not have got everyone; I hope I did. Welcome back!

Wow, this might be the person with the most games of anyone on GDU ever. And on the app store? that's a pretty big achievement.

This showed up as a virus on my computer.

Can you reset self switches when entering a map more than once?
Yokuto Akiyama replied to railfan101's question in Support
This is how I would do it: -Make the enemy event (One enemy event per troop) -First event command: Battle Processing (whatever troop of enemies you want) (Check off 'Continue even if Lose' or whatever it says) -Under 'If Lose' make a transfer command that transfers the player to the heal zone -Under 'If Win' do 'Self Switch A = On' and make a second event page with Self Switch A condition And you're done! -
Umm okay guys, a week or two ago I did a virus scan on my computer, and I found something strange. Face Maker (an app here on GDU) showed up as a virus. I uninstalled it and my computer is now running faster than before. I'm not sure what's going on with Face Maker, is it really a virus? I know it works, here's a face I made in it. It's Undyne from Undertale. Undyne01.bmp

I'll test it out, but I don't know how. Is it a file you need to send me, or is it something just on the site that I can get to with a link?
-
I'll gladly test it out!

Yokuto Akiyama replied to railfan101's question in Support
You could also do a thing where the self switch only goes off once the player has defeated the enemy. So if the player loses, they can go back and fight that troop of enemies again. -
I've only been here since last year or so, but I'm glad we've made it ten years! I know I'm a few months late to be saying this, but ten years is a big accomplishment! :) And Marked, thanks for all the hard work put into making GDU, we wouldn't have all this without you. Let's keep GDU going for as long as we can!
