Are you referring to this game: http://www.srrngames.com/?page_id=101 it looks like RMVX Graphics, but I can't confirm as I don't own RMVX.

According to the License agreement you can not use the graphics in another game making software (which also includes programing the game from scratch your self.

So I came across this game called 7 Stories made by a 'company' called Smashware. What makes this game catch my eye is that it is an iTunes App/Game, but it is using RPG Maker XP graphics. This game is being sold on iTunes for a little over $2.00, but according to the reviews it is a short game (you can beat it with your character at level 9). Now I know Enterbrain has not created a software to port RMXP/RMVX games to the iTunes market. The bible is like a message. If I tell someone a message and they pass it on to the next (and so on) then eventually they will edit and add what they wont. I believe this to be true when it comes to the bible. Over the years people have added what they feel is right and wrong.

Then perhaps you should edit your topic it clearly stats it will be able to convert a RMXP game file not simply read it: And I never said what you described to be illegal,"to read a file." But you mentioned converting a file. And please lets not argue that this is not legal or not because their is a difference between converting a PDF to a DOC file or a flash to avi. Your talking about a whole new road of taking a file from said software to convert it to work with said software. From a business view this is illegal because RMXP is a sold product and if they condoned it (which I doubt they would) it would be bad for business.

I do not have issues with this as though I don't know you, I know you. If you are interested then sign up at the forum (working on site and forum integration) and I will promote. GDU will have a complete Project Center where members (free) can have a Project Page(s), in which they can display: description, links to official site (if any), links to game downloads, subscription button (used for other members to subscribe to a persons project page to stay up to date on them), Bug Tracker Light (place people can report bugs), and a few more things. Clearly you have not done your homework. You said that it would try to convert if it could. In order to do that it would have to touch a RMXP game file in some fashion or form!!!

It still poses legal issues. You can sugar coat this all you like, but you should leave out any type of converting system unless you have contacted Enterbrain and asked if you can have your software either DO or TRY to convert ANY thing related to RMXP.

No, I was referring to what you will use due to "people knowing/familiar with RPG Maker Scripting. So will you be making your own scripting in ruby cause even using the same formulas is breaking the law.
