  1. It's not that shocking. I once wrote an Introduction topic this long. It was a record on rmxp.net (now hbgames.org) back in the day.
  2. RMXP Unlimited Community, So it has been like maybe a month or more since I had announced this site and it will be coming very soon (in a month; about September 3rd). The site will use just basic HTML (no CMS, yet) and well its just as the image says:
  3. They opened it for everyone, in case you have not found out: http://www.expressgamemaker.com/Community/Forum/yaf_postst210_EGM-Weekly--23rd-July-2010.aspx
  4. http://classic.dryang.org/yugioh/index.shtml OR http://www.google.com/search?q=Edo+Yu-Gi-Og+PC+game&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a To download his game.
  5. Yes you are correct. Yes more like the dark tone version; as do I. DMC?
  6. To make money in any business, one must spend money; not everything is free. It was a suggestion and I have already showed you that RPG Maker is a trademark (registered or not it is still protected). Better to change it and cloud your mind thinking "no one will bother the little guy." This is business and if a small or large company sees you making a profit off of their trademark it could get ugly. Yes their are. For example if you live in the USA you need a business license to sell a service or product or the government may knock on your door come tax time. Not to mention filling a DBA, registering your own trademark (or save money and don't). There are plenty which shows you have not done the most important thing RESEARCH. This is not true at all. I could come up with plenty of names and Google could help me find if they are being used or not. Example when I decided to start a business its name changed plenty of times for different reasons: 1) Dragon Eclipse Studios --- changed because the overall URL was way to long. 2) Ryu Interactive --- changed because I did not like the sound of it. 3) Magix Studios --- changed because the name sounded like we delt with animated films (like Dreamworks). 5) Medevil Studios --- changed because medevil.com was taken. 6) Mad Klown Entertainment --- What it is now. Yes naming a business or product is hard, but it doesn't take a long time. I say Just call it LastEnd RPG. After all Stencyl's name doesn't really say, "hey you can make games with me." Why add MAKER or anything behind RPG. It would make you unique and stand out. Also: 1) http://www.trademarkia.com/trademarks-search.aspx?tn=LastEnd 2) http://www.trademarkia.com/trademarks-search.aspx?tn=LastEnd+RPG If I where you I would just use one of them. I mean heck your domain name is just LastEnd.
  7. I was not being rude, only stating a fact so lose the attitude please.
  8. Not everyone is a skilled at using a paint/photo editor.
  9. No they do hold a trademark for RPG Maker which came out for the Playstation and was made by Enterbrain and Age Tech, as well as RPG Maker 2 and 3 for the Playstation 2. Did you do a international trademark search? Also take note of the following conditions REQUIRED in using RPG Maker (registered or not): Your use breaches all those in bold. And lets not forget the trademark symbols which can be found here http://www.emuparadise.org/PSX/Covers/RPG%20Maker%20%5BU%5D%20%5BSLUS-00640%5D-front.jpg | http://www.highrescovers.com/wp-content/uploads/covers/ps2covers/RPG_Maker_2-USA.jpg Enterbrain's series has been and also known as RPG Maker Series. They started it and created it and hold the rights to it, registered or not. Why not just change it to LastEnd RPG Studio, problem solved.
  10. Yes, around $800, but that's if you buy their main software's and extra resource packs. I plan on getting it, but not to make tilesets. But who knows when I get it, maybe I'll take requests.
  11. Well medieval times has always been my favorite thing to learn about; especially in history class (back in the day). I have a book that lists all titles (king, queen, duke, milady (my lady or m'lady), etc. PS: Downloading now. EDIT Seems every battle I enter I am defeated with out fighting and then game over...
  12. Well I did, it come to like $800+ so you could save $200. Also I watched some of their tutorials, looks easy. I bet you could even make a huge map, export it as an image and the manually make it a tileset.
  13. Actually he is correct. My Lord (also m'lord) comes from continental Europeans (especially French) whose jobs often brought them into contact with travellers (innkeepers, guides, etc.) commonly used to address Englishmen or male English-speakers who seemed to be upper-class (or whom they wished to flatter) – even though the English-language phrase "my lord" (the source of "milord") played a somewhat minor role in the British system of honorific forms of address, and most of those addressed as "milord" were not in fact proper "lords" (members of the nobility) at all. The word "milord" was occasionally borrowed back into the English language in order to be used as a sarcastic or jocular reference to British travellers abroad.
  14. Well they sell them individualy ranging from $100 to $35 (USD). So if you added them up $600+ is a nice deal...if you had the money.
  15. To remove your events, just copy the map in RMXP and delete the events on that extra map.
  16. Not really, unless you do the following: 1) GO To >> VIEW 2) click >> DIM OTHER LAYERS (you need it turned off). 3) Click >> LAYER one * you will notice all layers can be viewed (but not edited) then just... Layer one will not show a GRID. SO you could from the editor take screen shots of your map and combine them into one in a seprate larger image file.
  17. Before we dive into this let’s look at how most people make their RMXP/VX demos. Why do this, you might ask? Well to put it simply your creating a game and the last thing you want to do is give YOUR WHOLE game story away in a demo. After all would you buy a commercial game if you played a demo of it that went half way through the story? I wouldn’t, but if the story captured me I probably would, but the big guys don’t do it simply because it makes no sense. Most people don’t know this, but when a demo is released for a commercial game PC or Console it is at least 80% to 99% complete and is just under going fine tuning during beta testing. Yes its true games get beta tested before going on the market; even if they don’t catch them all. Keep this in mind when you want to make your demo and only have 50% or even less, 25% of your game completed. Your game should be at least 80% if not 99% (recommended) before you decided to do a demo. I recommend 99% because that last 1% is you fine tuning it and maybe getting beta testers to help you find spelling errors, bugs, etc. I have played plenty of games that where claimed to be FINISHED, but contained more errors, bugs, and spelling issues that it showed how lazy the maker was and made the game complete Shit!!!
  18. So I was looking for a fictional map generator on the net and found this site that sells a verity of products that can help you create fictional maps (color, black and white). From world maps, cities, dungeons, etc. Now of course sadly it is not FREE; in fact if you bought their WORLD Package it would cost you $600+. ANy way thought I would share the link...oh and you can even create fictional maps that work kind of like Google maps does: http://www.profantasy.com/default.asp I plan on spending the $600+ because this will help in my world building for my novels.
  19. PHP...has to be a way to give the user an error when posting saying those characters are not allowed.
  20. I'm slightly lost is Raito a male or female?
  21. I've only ever used HP and Sony myself as I like them best.
  22. Why not report them? Marked asked if we found any to post them in here. Same link as above...re-post so you don't have to scroll up Marked: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/5197-help+with+spriting+...+big+challenge+too/
