  1. finally I got the chance to ask this, how do you let the SE play while this script is active? I tested the effects of this script and the SE that usually plays upon entering battle doesn't play.
  2. I did view it in media player, and the result you describe is what I'm trying to tell you.
  3. Since I'm still a bit far away from completing the next demo, to keep you guys somwhat interested (and for the very hell of it) I will post some of the in-game humor. Here is one where you speak to a cloaked man in Petal Village:
  4. About this... I downloaded your demo, Marked, and when I saw the movie produced it came out rather choppy and laggy. Plus you can't seem to view the movie again once it's been already played.
  5. ... May I ask what program I need in order to view the video?
  6. No problem, guys. Hopefully this will be added to the script archive on the pinned topic.
  7. Instructions What this does is create a ring menu. Instead of going to a separate menu screen it makes icons appear in a circular fashion around the character. Screenshot The Script Ring Menu.txt Instructions Insert this script after "Scene_Debug" but before "Main." You can edit the text and the show location window at line 37. You can edit things like the icon graphic and the startup SE from line 318 to line 332. FAQ How do I add addition menu items? If you know a little bit about RGSS then this process is relatively simple, it is simply a matter of adding in the required lines. If not then I will go through the lines that you are going to need to add in. First of all, copy the script from the download above. Try to open it in wordpad or another simple text editor to avoid any possible formatting of the script. 1. Open your script editor and select the Ring Menu script in the list. The first thing you need to do is create the title which is displayed under the icon in the menu. Navigate to line 70, which should look like this: $ring_menu_text[6]="Quit" # Quit Menu Text This sets a string which will be the title of the menu item. So we need to create another one for our menu item. Copy and paste the line, replacing 6 with 7 and the Quit with the name of our new item. In this example I will use Quests. $ring_menu_text[7]="Quests" # Quest Menu Text 2. Next, navigate to lines 199 to 245. This is a case statement which basically means if input trigger C is pressed(Space, Enter, C) and the menu item is x, then do something. To put it simply. When 0 refers to the first command, when 1 refers to the 2nd and so on. In our case we are adding the 7th command(or menu item), so we want to add in "when 6". The last when statement is this: when 5 # ?Q?[???I?? # ???? SE ?????t $game_system.se_play($data_system.decision_se) # ?Q?[???I??????? ????? $scene = Scene_End.new Immediately under that we want to add in something like this: when 6 #Quest Menu Item $game_system.se_play($data_system.decision_se) $scene = Scene_MissionMenu.new The line "$scene = Scene_MissionMenu.new " is the scene that will be called. As you can see in the other when statements, most of them call on scenes. In my example I have used a scene from Leons Mission Script. 3. Next navigate to line 333, or this line: ICON_EXIT = RPG::Cache.icon("046-Skill03") Add below it ICON_QUEST = RPG::Cache.icon("046-Skill03") This defines the icon image. It uses the RTP icons and in my example I will just the last icon used. But any can be chosen from the RTP icons. If you wanted a custom one, you would have to alter the code. 4. Next go to line 361 or find the following line: s6 = $ring_menu_text[6] Below this line we want to add our own command. So directly below this, add this following: s7 = $ring_menu_text[7] 5. Next go to line 362(the line below) or find the following line: @commands = [ s1, s2, s3, s4, s5, s6 ] This sets the commands. We want to add our extra command in here, so add in s7 to the list or replace the above line with: @commands = [ s1, s2, s3, s4, s5, s6, s7 ] 6. Below that line is the following: @item_max = 6 We want to change this to 7 since we are adding in a new item. So replace that line with the following: @item_max = 7 7. Three lines below that on line 365 is the following line: @items = [ ICON_ITEM, ICON_SKILL, ICON_EQUIP, ICON_STATUS, ICON_SAVE, ICON_EXIT ] Similarly to the last step, we want to add in our new item. We set this two steps previously, so add in ICON_QUEST to the list or replace the above line with: @items = [ ICON_ITEM, ICON_SKILL, ICON_EQUIP, ICON_STATUS, ICON_SAVE, ICON_EXIT, ICON_QUEST] That it, a new menu item should now be there. If you followed this exactly, you should get an error unless you have Leons Mission Script in your game. You need to have your own scene or window ready and replace this line "$scene = Scene_MissionMenu.new.
  8. The only thing that would really be good for is as a battler or a picture. It looks funny though.
  9. N'cha! Welcome to the forums.
  10. Hmm... maybe I should update the screenshots. As far as the windowskin, like I've already mentioned I've added a way to change the windowskin. Just wait for the second demo, most of the screenshots posted arn't up to date anyway.
  11. I almost forgot you existed, so... yeah. xD
  12. (Apparently during the transfer the first post became missing, so here's the info on the game) Info: This was the first project I've really made with RPG Maker XP, though it was remade up to 2 times already (first was due to a script mess up, and it was pretty shitty; second was because the script files became corrupt). However, the good thing about that is this game would be much better compaired to the other projects. :) In regards to how I came up with this, I wanted to make a game with both robots and a fantasy-ish setting. I also wanted the main hero to be a girl, since It's something I don't see in many games (and no, she's not a harlot, I try to make her close to a normal person as possible). Also, I've intended this game to be mainly comedic, since that fits along my interests and I wanted to make something that people might laugh at. So, that's all I need to say about this project, it isn't going to include many "special features" like scripts and all that crap, hopefully you guys won't whine about it. Story: In another galaxy, there is an Earth-like planet which the inhabitants called "Ludia". Unlike present-day Earth, the people of Ludia are way behind in technological standards, and live in semi-medieval lifestyles. This is what the residents know, though, for there is more to the planet than anyone really knows. Warnings: > This game WILL contain a lot of random/surreal/sexual humor. I do not intend this game to be absolutely serious, so this may not be your type of game if you are into deep RPGs that have a serious background. > Aside from humor, there is a good load of cussing and some sexual references. Therefore I recommend this game for audiences over 13 years of age. > The deadline of this game does not exist. If I ever dared set one, It woud fail easily. This means that the progress of this game is inconsistent, and will be worked on whenever I have spare time, so don't be begging to me about the release of demos, etc. Got that? 13. Current Status: - Made the first three maps of "Petal Road" (a landmark of the fourth chapter) - Added the Windowskin changer item (which lets you change your windowskin, DUH!) - Went back to edit maps and add more detail to them, also added another side-character called Sparekin, which are creatures that give hints to finding the secret items in this game. - Fixed a few spelling, grammatical, and eventing errors.
  14. Yeah, it's a bit too bad that there isn't a number of people to give credit to for these graphics.
  15. Most of the peeves deal with the story. I felt that the characters didn't really show much of an individual personality, and like I mentioned earlier, the story pretty much approached to me suddenly, had no development. So, that's all I really have against it.
  16. So it lets the BGM play through the battle screen without being cut off by a separate battle BGM? Awsome.
  17. It is definately better than the first game I've made on RPGMXP, even though there are a few things that bother me about it.
  18. Who said you can't be cutesy with rpgs? :D
  19. Ghost rider... that name sounds cool.

  21. Thanks dude! Ok, I think this topic is resolved.
  22. Some things about it is definately impressive, though I so far hate the fact that the entire story is just thrown in your face without any process. Some guy who's Leon's brother imeadiately pops up and says "OMG YOUR FIANCE IS GETTING STOLEN!!!11" (Yeah, I know that's not EXACTLY what he says  ).
