Space... The final frontier THat reminds me, Star Trek the Movie (2009) kicked ass. Mapping has always been an art to me. Let's see what I can do with space. Will be a trick. You always choose fun ones. Ought to try Desert sometime. -

it won't fit right, however, there is a loophole: Where each line gets cutoff, go to the line below it, and backspace. This will take out the 'return', and make it looped text. also, ensure all commands on are separate lines. You can also just write up the code in a small script snippet and call it that way.

I have one. it isn't a title or anything, just a 640x480 picture. one of these six elements, going clockwise, and in this order: Fire, Earth, Water, Ice, Wind, Thunder. I want them all to start in the center with a 'white' pure center, and span out in each direction, with a dark blue background. I need it so white text can be read on it.

That is actually what I have been working on, as well as redesigning the menu system and so forth.

99% of this game would be scripted. In fact, with the exception of the database, everything would be scripted. lol. Including the labyrinths.

Essentially, you create 6 characters of various races, alignments, and classes; and oyu must take them in to a labyrinth, and solve various puzzles and avoid traps to reach your objective. straightforward, no?

it entails the main characters never saying a word. You ARE the characters, in a sense. it is difficult to explain.

Okay, I have a question for all of you... so called 'RPG Fanatics'; Would you be willing to play an RPG Maker game which returns to the roots of RPGs; or do you care too much about your precious graphics, intensive player dialouge, and expansive selection on character customization? As a picture to show you what i mean by 'roots'; I have been debating making a very old style game. Here is a picture to show what i've been debating creating: If you hold more interest, please, question any aspect.

I'm going to clear up something: This does not combine tilesets, but replace them. For instance, if you wanted an ice cave to turn into a fire cave, or set up a bridge-setup in a cave. As for how to use it, click the demo, and it will show oyu.

Now, now, Kiri, no need for threats. Also, i am content with the text in the jail cell, because the 'bland'ness is to show his hopelessness for the situation. They both have a death sentence, and all they can do is sit there. As for the messaging, what i mean is i have to go back and change it to a different style visually. Not change the text itself.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone. Ok, Kiri, as for the problem with your copy of the game, it was an error in scripting, and that is fixed. I also fixed the error I was having. Further, I weakened the enemies oh-so slightly.

Thanks to... certain people, certain games, and certain feelings towards those games, I feel the need to further express myself via RPG Maker. btw, I don't recommend Astonisha story or Crimson Gem Saga for the PSP. So many cliches!!! But yeah, although I won't be active AS MUCH, I will try to be around. I just wish the 'new posts' thing that was at the top of the forum was still there. I loved that thing... my heart, it aches. </3 So, if you are a new member who joined after my departure some time ago, please, introduce yourself. I'd love to have you for dinner. I'm... hungry As for all you existing members, I've been... dinking with some new ideas for RPG maker, and plan on doing some wild and crazy things. One of my reasons for quitting was no new ideas for Scripts; it had all been done before. But as Wyz and Ark could tell you, if they remember, I have been working on a very old-school way of building an RPG. This one goes back to some of the first RPGs ever made in DOS; before the NES. Hell, it even goes back to Dungeons and Dragons.

"Every time I think I am out, they pull me right back in..." ~ I'm back, due to Kiri's incessive whining (jk) so thank him, everyone. As for the tutorials, I am going to start taking requests soon as to what you guys want an example on how to do. If you actually use the ones I made you as a guideline, and look at how the scripts are written in RmXP, you can actually start writing scripts now. Also, if you guys every come across a guy named Tiberius_XXVII, thank him too. He taught me to script when others *cough*SephirothSpawn*cough* wouldn't.

I am debating continuing this title. I went back to play it and saw a ton of things that need improvment. I may go back and totally rewrite the messaging (or not). As for the menu, I plan on redesigning it. It needs a new design, plus a few... new things. *laughs heartily* I have even been seriously debating adding a new system into it to make the game more dynamic. I will need to see if it will make the game too complex as well, however, but if not, i'm going to do it. Other than that, the game will be picking up after the earth cave, which is what i wanted. The characters will further develop in Cardesh, and the next demo will include 1, maybe 2 more elementals; a new town, and some more to the storyline.
