Well it doesn't matter if everyone else likes it. For example, I have made a few music videos and banner designs that people didn't really enjoy. As long as you know that you are improving and are enjoying what you're doing, you should KEEP doing it! :D

Yeah I guess so. I'll make that topic sometime tonight. Basically it will be an open topic for ALL ideas, theories, anything that people think would help. I'll take the responsibility of providing as much ideas as possible and keeping the first post a bit organized. Hehe, this is gonna be awesome. :D

Haha, like have one topic where everyone just keeps throwing in ideas? That would be awesome. Once done, we get someone to mix it all together and combine it into an amazing game. That would be cool. If that gets started, I'm gonna be writing everyday and contributing every day, I swear. :D

Ahh excellent, thanks for the movie section. I'm going to go check out Ulead right now. The main reason I used Movie Maker for so long is because, other than it being free, its easy as hell to use. Timeline, storyboard, etc. But I suppose now its time for me to move up to bigger and better things to unleash my full potention. :D Oh and thanks for looking at my other videos too! :D

Well, this is a contest to design a game right? I would definitely enter this sort of contest. I've been slacking off in the games department and a contest like this would definitely motivate me to pick up my pencil, close the door, and start writing and planning something that might be funded or supported. Ok, I had no idea where to post, so I'll put it here. Alright. I dept my hand in the AMV creation scene once more and created this truly amazing video. Definitely this is my most detailed one yet, and the one that took the most amount of work to make work. It can be found here - Final Fantasy X - Burning Inside Now to make a quick statement. I have received many comments, from people on youtube and actual friends, who think creating music videos are stupid, easy, and a waste of time. To them, I say read this: ========== Final Fantasy X - Burning Inside Log ========== ========================================================== This is the Final Fantasy X - Burning Inside AMV Log. It contains all ideas and concepts that went into creating this one video. This document also shows all actions taken in order to mold together the video to my liking. ========== Preparations ========== ================================== *Watched entire set of Final Fantasy X CG clips while listening to song. This is to formulate ideas and possible scenarios. *Wrote down all ideas for possible opening clip to be used. I also took down the time, for future references. This is so it is easier to time the video clips with the music. *Read through the lyrics of the song meticulously. The entire point of matching up videos with a song is, in my opinion, to create this sort of illusion that the song was meant for that perticular piece of footage. Further reading will show how most of the AMV's video matches up with the lyrics in one way or another. *Wrote down more video time to be used. As you can already see, this is a very important step so you know 'what goes where' in the AMV. I prepared for this video (which means Movie Maker isn't opened yet) for atleast two hours. No joke. ========== Important Note ========== ==================================== It is amazing how many fools wish to debate that creating a music video is easy. Let me give you a little hint: All those clips don't come neatly packaged and ready to use. The director has to cut the clips him/herself, since each video uses different clip lengths. This requires precision, but more importantly, an idea of what they hell you're doing. You can't just cut a clip, add it and call it a day. Nope. ========== Movie Maker Open - Creation ========== ================================================= *After knowing all the videos I wanted to use, the next step was to upload them into the program. *Then, uploaded the music file after 100% certainty it was going to be used. I DO NOT just pick a random song, upload it and then just wing it from there. No. *Created the intro credit which states the name of the video clips being used and the song title. *Added song to timeline directly after title credit Quick Note: There are a total of 52 cg videos in Final Fantasy X. I'll name them using numbers - I did not use them all, but a good amount were put into this video. *Cut video 1 to the opening gate scene of the Zanarkand to match song intro. Made it fade out to black. *Cut part of video 1 to use for next segment of song, which is where the drums start. Made it fade out to black. *Cut part of video 14 to use for the segement where the rhythm guitars chime in. *Cut part of video 14 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 2 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 8 to transition with previous clip. Also speeded this clip up *Cut part of video 14 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 33 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 45 to transition with previous clip *Cut part of video 37 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 1 into two seperate clips. *Cut part of video 20 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 21 to transition with previous clip. *Cut video 31 into 7 seperate clips. 3 of these clips are speeded up to match music speed. *Cut part of video 18 into two seperate clips. *Cut part of video 19 to transition with previous clips. *Cut part of video 4 to transition with previous clips. *Cut part of video 1 into 7 seperate video clips, each speeded up to match song chorus. *created subtitles that scream the chorus, which is "Burning Inside!" *Cut part of video 33 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 43 into 4 seperate clips, 2 of which are speeded up. *Cut part of video 47 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 44 into 4 seperate clips. *Cut part of video 42 to transition with previous clip. *Cut part of video 35 into 3 clips. ========== Lyrical Connections ========== ========================================= Alright. Now to show the work I went through to match the lyrics of the song with the video clips. I also made sure to keep the overall rhythm of the video consisten with that of the song. *Intro - the intro. sounds like a machine being cranked over and over again. Thus, the intro. clip is the gates of the Zanarkand Blitzball arena being opened, as you can see electricity being spurred out of the gates. The sound and look of machinery at work. *Intro - the intro also has a slightly slow rhythm, like something going over and over again. So, the next clip shows the fans screaming and shouting - waiting for the game to begin. This part is slowed down to make it match the music. *Drums start - the next scene is where the Blitzball game starts. This picks up the pace quite a bit. This was placed there because this is where the drums start in the song. *Rhythm guitar starts - the main riff (which is amazing) starts here. First of all, I transitioned to the water scene in Kilika - since the transition seems smoother (from water to water, duh). *Kilika being destroyed - this riff goes excellent with the scene where the port of Kilika is being ripped off. *Tidus encounters sin waterball - This is where the first line says "Will these dreams still follow me, out of dark obscurity". Technically that Zanarkand is a dream. Tidus must also be thinking that his home being destoryed by a huge ball of water is a dream. It kinda fits together. *kilika being destroyed again - Right here it says "...and now, you tell me the facts of life". Life is not fair, we all know that. Now, Kilika is obliterated by Sin's wrath. It's one of the facts of life - crap happens. Then it says "I really couldn't be bothered with you, get out of my face and watch me die!" This is the scene where a villager is running for his life. He is not in awe or wondering whats going to happening. He is running. He is taking charge of his life, how ever short it is, and doing something. He's basically saying "get out of my face" by running. And of course, "watch me die!" as he is swept up by the winds. *ship flies out of the sky - The smoke is emitting heavily from the ship. This is where it says "burning inside". Muhaha! This happens twice within the clip. *the fate - The next scene shows the fate, frozen in time on the walls. This is where the song says "Absolution and a frozen room, are the dreams of man below". This scene could not be more perfect for the song. First of all, Tidus is in a 'frozen room' since the Fate are stuck there, never to leave. Then, "are the dreams of man below". The screen pans downwards, revealing Tidus standing alone. If you remember, Tidus's Zanarkand was nothing but a dream. Muhaha! *tidus reaches out - Here Tidus reaches to grab onto the ledge as Zanarkand is being obliterated. The song says "I try to grab it but the touch is hot" as Tidus grabs for the ledge, hangs on for 4 seconds, and slips off. *sin attacks - Here, the song says "I'm scared of the darkness in light" as Sin slowly creeps up in the shadows of the sea. Then it says "I scare myself because I know I'm right". That's when the Crusaders are shown, thrusting their swords into the sky before they try and fight the sin spawn on the shores. The crusaders believed there was an actual way to kill sin for good by luring him out. Thus, this shows why they "know I'm right". :D *crusaders dead - Here the song says "I see the evil in your savage eye". This is when Sin attacks, using this weird round sphere attack directed towards the shore. I always thought of it as an eye, looking at its victims before decimating them. That's why I added that. Then the song says "as it cuts right through the sky!". That's when Sin's blast flies in the sky towards the shore. *crusaders obliterated - This is where the chorus hits, which is "Burning Inside". The first two times it yells Burning Inside, the Crusaders on the shore are wiped out in an instant. They are burned to a crisp, hence why the scene fits. *Al Bhed city destroyed - The rest of the chorus shows the Al Bhed city completely destroyed by the missiles. Burning Inside -here- stands for the city destroyed from all the fire, and also from when the ship escaped from the huge explosion. *Auron enters - the next scene is where the song says "calling a mantra from a blade in the skin, for the demons within". This is where Auron, with his huge Bushido type blade, pulls out his left arm (which he ONLY uses for fighting) and prepares to battle the creature swarming through the city. *Anima strikes - The next scene is where Anima kills all the fiends in the city. The song says "I feel the pain is the death and decay". This matches with two things. One, Anima looks like a rotting dead zombie type thing. Two, the 'death' matches with the fiends. Fiends, if you remember, are what happen when a person dies and does not go to the realm they are supposed to go. So, they stay on the planet and attack people, which is why they are called fiends. *Fate turns on Tidus - The next part of the song goes "another slave and a victim of fate, another lesson in hate". This is where Tidus is basically forced to leave his 'world'. Basically, its his fate to leave, and he is much like a slave in that he has no control of what happens from thereon. The "lesson in hate" is basically what Tidus is going through - he is filled with loads of hate throughout the story, but more importantly when he figures out his world wasn't real. His mother. His dad. His life. It was all just a dream. *Zanarkand obliterated - The next scene is the chorus again, showing Zanarkand destoryed. Fire, fire, everywhere! *The remaining scenes mainly show destruction, chaos, and other references to Burning Inside! So, that is MOST of the work I did while working on this video. To H E L L to anyone who says creating a music video is easy, stupid, or something else ridiculous. Thank you. :D That should prove that creating music videos is not only just a frilly art form that anyone can pick up. It requires patience, diligence and loads of creativity to make everything blend together. w00t

Hahah, I love the game over screens. They're all scary and creepy, as they should be - if you die, you should be scared! Nice job. These look really amazing. That black thief character set is my favorite out of all of those. Keep it up! ^-^

Nice. I just went through the tutorial. Here are my thoughts. The only real issue I have is the grammar and slight spelling mistakes. I know its only a demo, but I see many demos die because people were too lazy to read through the grammar and actually learn something. If you want, I can write up a log of all mistakes I found to make it easier for you :D I love how most of the NPC's had their own little personalities to them. Keep that part in! It really makes it much more enjoyable tutorial. For now, its looking good. I was surprised to see so many functions being taught in one tutorial! ^-^ Nice!

Alright. While surfing the interweb, I found a pretty amazing website: http://videogamesprites.net/ It has thousands of sprites. Most of them are from the old 8-bit final fantasy games. Some Zelda and Chrono Trigger. The best part was the expansive amount of animated sprites, such as movement and emotion sprites, they had. It's really worth a look. Enjoy!

This is a story I wrote way back in August of 2005. Please post here if you atleast understand, as it might get quite confusing. But thats how I set it up. Enjoy! The Red Gate What do we really know and understand about our universe? Surely we are not alone. In the upcoming story, Mankind has already discovered the path to other worlds. One man, Mr. Gilder, found a passage to an undiscovered world in which he is thrust into action. He wrote of his experiences in his journal. His journal was recovered on the pavement next to Gilder's house, which was recently bulldozed because of Mr. Gilder's sudden death. These writings will come to be known as The Red Gate Journal. "Order, Order! This meeting of the World Confederacy shall now begin. Our primary order of business is the new piece of key evidence as to the discovery of yet another hidden World being located. This World, however, was not found using one of our most recently designed Neutron Stargazers. We have found proof of a more advanced technological device created by the late Dr. Gilder. This equipment I speak of, however, has not been located yet, but the great professor's only Journal remained in his house." "The professor?s journal, as some of you may or may not know, was in the native tongue of a language that has been dead for hundreds of years. Our scientists have just finished the decoding the papers, to some degree. Unfortunately only five of the more than 200 papers pages are left. There was a laboratory fire where the journals were being kept. Twenty-six people were killed and only one survived. Strangely enough the one survivor had the four remaining pages clutched to his hand, holding it tightly against his chest. He said to the fire squad 'Take these to the W.C. They must readit' as he let out his last gasp of air and fainted to that long sleep with no awakening." "Today, in this great council, I will read the remaining pages of this great man's wondrous achievements, and I'm sure you will be amazed at this man's brilliant and interesting look at our world, and others as well." ~TF1ZK7~ When I woke up this morning, the first thoughts floating around in my head were of the night before. Datze introduced me to his clan, roughly translated into Moonbreak. There was a big gathering of over 500 clan members. As was regulation within their tradition, many of them had come equipped with their war garments. They were, by nature, always ready for an unexpected confrontation with anyone who dares to challenge their strength. One might even say that they were outcasts for being able to see the true power of their "Mother Nature", but I haven't been taught these things since I am not...never mind. I was sworn into the tribe by Datze and given some heavy armor to wear and a weapon. This weapon was very special to Datze and he thought that, after my performance in my first battle as I arrived here, that I should have it. 'The Omni hacker' he said to me. He also told me that if I ever were to go into battle, protection would be his responsibility. I was grateful. This planet has two sun-like planets it revolves around, called Zephyrs, so the hours in the day are long and equal to about 37 hours on my home planet - Earth. Also, their moon only lasts for about 7 "Earth" hours, which is roughly 420 minutes. This makes sleeping short, but it seems that only a short amount of time is necessary for these people to regain their strength after a long day of training. Speaking of training, for the past couple days I have been training with Datze. I don't know what we were training for, since he wouldn't tell me. For some reason he wanted to make sure I pushed myself to my limit and could further expand my endurance. Do I serve a purpose in his world? VG2AL8 Our clan was attacked again today by the Krilan tribes. Datze and I thrust ourselves into the front ranks of the battle, trying to hold them off long enough to make them retreat. This race of barbarians could only attack when the Zephyr gave them energy. Something strange happened, though, when I returned to the village. When I entered the training grounds a small spark burst out of my hands as I was instantly performing punches into the air. I think Datze saw this phenomenon because he quickly turned around and left. Maybe it was the delusion of being stranded on this world for about six months since I became a clansman. There was another clan meeting a few days ago, after the Krilan battles. It was weird how, when I heard that horn, I jumped up and put on my gear and left, weapon in hand. At the meeting the Chief spoke in the center, but this was a new leader. I asked Datze what happened and he told me of the Trials. At any time, any clan member may challenge the leader for the right to prove that he is a stronger and more strategic warrior. Unfortunately, it is the way of the ancients and elders to force the defeated leader to commit suicide, since his death meant that he really was not capable of leading his clan and saving then from what could have been a real threat. As Asharak, the new leader, spoke, Datze translated for me. He told me of the Holy Elk Empire, an empire that has been ruthlessly eliminating all clans who are not "civilized" by their standards. That night was the most important night so far. As soon as nightfall came, Datze pulled me away to the training grounds. He told me to open my hands palm out and concentrate on what I really wanted. At that moment I wanted to help keep Clan Moonbreak from being obliterated by the overpowering empire for their way of life. I concentrated hard when~`~`~` (the rest of the page is burnt to a crisp) VH3BM9 The Northern wall was down. It only took a few blasts to the pillars supporting it. I still didn't know if the plan was going to work. We already had access to the throne room as I waited for the command signal. I then heard something. The signal was sent. The signal was ~`~`~` (part of the page is illegible) Why has this happened? It was an ambush. They knew we were coming. Datze is dead...dead. We were running to attack the prime minister. I shot a thunder jolt and Datze was charging what he called a Zephyr Targeter. He could us the sun to aim its energy at the prime minister or whomever he wanted. Then, a masked guard grabbed him from behind and thrust a spear through his chest. I wanted to save him. I want to save him. I can still save ~`~`~` (part of the page is smeared and illegible) The Red Gate worked! I altered the time patterns and configured some equations on the gate. I was then able to re-enter this world, but it was a different time from when I first arrived on this planet. It was the recent past. More specifically, it was our battle against the Empire. I found Datze. I saved him from being killed. I brought him back and the Empire fell, but was it worth it? Is what I did considered altering time and space? Did I change the general outline of life and death? I must get back home and show proof of what I have done. My story must be told. XJ5DO11 I haven't recorded anything since the Empire fell. Everything is lost to me now. When the prime minister was murdered, Datze and I were now the rulers of this world. The elders were right. We united all the outcaste tribes, including Moonbreak. The elders were right. We had more power than any other tribe member. Because of our power, I was challenged to duels by six clan fighters, each of them falling to their death by my hand. The elders were right. Why did I not listen? A statue was made in my honor, and great gifts were given to me from around the world, but then all HELL broke lose. The power was getting to me, though I tried to control it. The greed was growing, though I shared my wealth with others. The biggest problem was with Datze. He wanted to fight in battles and wage wars just to feel the rush of adrenaline and feel the clashing of swords as he killed his enemies. The elders were right. He attacked me! Datze attacked me! He wanted more power, so why didn't I stop fighting? I should have stopped, but I couldn't. The GREED had corrupted me. I was selfish in wanting to live. "Cover Barrage!" he yelled as he used his natural abilities to shield himself from damage or injury. A fire burned up inside of me as I let out a wave of energy towards him. "You saved me from death a hundred times over, and a hundred times again, but not even death can save you now." I killed him. Chaos broke as the clan wars began once more. I broke the natural order of this world, of this land even. I stopped the World from proceeding forward on the path it was on. The Dark Elves had no chance of surviving once someone Like I used the Red Gate. (In comes an officer shouting news) "Council, council! Another page was found! Someone other than Gilder wrote the last entry! (Hands page to the Council Leader and he reads it aloud) ZL7FQ13 My name is Datze Bonearrow. I am of the Clan Moonbreak. With my last ounce of strength I write this to the people of Gilder's realm. My clansmen helped me find the Red Gate. Order is now restored. Before his death, Gilder wrote these numbers on the outside of the portal: 72,000 N. 5,127 800,000,000 E. I do not know their importance, but who ever is reading this may know. Gilder was my friend, but he was corrupted. When he comes again, I will change the outcome of this world for the better. (Council) "When he comes again? What is the meaning of that?" (Two Days Later) As the Universal Confederacy Council Leader passes by Oaken St., he sees a house constructed where Gilder used to live. Curious as to the new owner of the house he knocks on the door. The door then slowly creaks open, and he peeks inside. He sees the shadow of someone entering a large hole.
