If you nosome one who is good with editing sprites all they have to do is remove the sleeves add a bow make the shoesmore like heels and make the top smaller Honestly, I never make sprites from scratch I prefer to edit rtp sprites, that way its consistent with my game btw, how come the forum now will not show any posts but the first post, or is that just me edit:found problem it changed display mode to outline by itself

What if there was a Time-Based Action Tactical Turn Battle System Time Based- Players have a specific amount of time to do an action: moving,attacking using item etc. Action- Attacks are real-time, player only hits enemy by physically attacking it Tatical-Runs like tatics system Turn by turn- each person gets there turn to attack/or that can be scrapped for a time based system in where u wait for the time bar to fill up then as u use the time bar it empties and takes longer to fill or in other words Eternal Sonata, <_< Youtube Video ->

  8. Note: I'm doing this as general practice to improve my writing skills, also this is a proposed game idea, just in story format. Chapter 2 The sunlight crept through the blinds, slow carressing Sai's face. He woke up with a jolt. He did a quick once over of himself. Making sure he was in one piece. "Was...It all a dream?" He remebered when the cliff gave way, then there was the falling, and then nothing. It felt all to real to be a dream. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "I'm awake, come in." Sai was suprised, to see Niromi come in through the door. She had obviously been jogging, because she was wearing her favorite track suit and her long black hair was tied in a ponytail. "Morning." "What's up?" "Nothing, I was out jogging and I just dropped in." "Yah haven't visited my house in nearly 4 years, what's bothering you?" "Can't I just drop by and say Hi once in a while?" "Niromi, you know just as well as I do that I always know when something is bothering you, I can read you like a book." "You've always been able to..." "So you had it to huh?" Niromi sat down on the desk. "You mean the dream where we all die in a bus incident?" "Exactly, Ralph and the new girl where there too." "The accident, it really happened, I read about it in the news." "Coincedence?" "Its to weird though, I can't remeber anything after the bus crashing, just waking up. If we were dreaming that we died in that accident, how come I can't remember what happened on friday." "What?" "The accident happened on friday, and I rememeber the day in my dream was friday. But if that was a fake friday, how come I can't remember the real friday?" "Maybe, we really did die." "Don't even joke like that!" "Than how can you explain all this stuff?" "If we died how am I here talking to you!?" Niromi was visually flustered now, her breathing shallowed, and she looked sick. "That's the only reasonable conclusion..." "No way that can't be true!" In a frantic rush, Niromi pushed Sai on the bed and pulled off his shirt and then placed her hands on his chest. "You have a heartbeat right?! Can't you feel the warmth of my hands!" Suddenly, the door opened again. It was Sai's mother. She stared at the two, Niromi on top of Sai, both of the staring back at her. "It's not what it looks like!" yelled Niromi, her face bright red. "Sorry to disturb you two." she said and closed the door tightly. "Hey Niromi, could you please get off of me?" "Gah, now your mothers got the wrong idea about us!" "Oh, and what idea would that be?" "Shut up!" "Hey Niromi." "What is it!" "Have you been feeling strange today?' "Yah, some kind of Deja Vu." "Really?" "Mhm Hmm, that whole thing misunderstanding with your mom thing, I felt like its happened before." "Oh, that wasn't what i was talking about, look at one of your nails." Niromi saw that the tip of of her forefinger's nail was coated in blood. "Did I cut you, I'm sorry." "Yah you did cut me, I felt it, but the there is no wound, or maybe its already healed." "There is no way a cut could heal that fast. Unless...." "...it had to do with that accident!" Niromi picked up a pair of scissors. "Ok, I'm gonna go emo on my finger and see if it heals just like your scratch." Before she could have any regrets, Niromi cut her finger. She cried in pain as her blood dripped onto the carpet. Niromi grimaced. "Sorry about the carpet.." After a few minutes the blood stopped but the wound didn't heal. "I don't get it, are you sure i cut you?" "Here let me see." Sai got up and held Niromi's hand. "Sai, waht are you..." The blood on Niromi's skin crawled back into her wound and it closed as if it was zipped up. "You ...healed me. You have the ability to heal wounds." "I guess." "This power, maybe it was awakened by your near death experience." "That doesn't explain how we survived and appeared at our homes." "Your right, maybe I have a power or Ralph or Yuka had obtained a power that saved us." "But this sounds so unreal, getting super powers from nearly dieing." "There have been cases where humans exhibit super human powers when in danger." "You think that may be the case?" "I don't know anything really, we need to investigate more." "I think we should meet up with Ralph and Yuka, but for now I guess you should be heading back on your way." "Ok bye." Sai got up and walked up to Niromi. "Wait..." "What is it Sai?" said Niromi, staring directly in his eyes. "Can yah give me a kiss good bye." Niromi's face instantly flushed red. "You bastard!!!" Niromi was about to throw a punch, but something switched on in her and she kneed him in the stomach right as Sai moved his face to the right. Sai face was filled with suprise as he clutched his gut, "How did you..." "Hmph...Jerk. Serves you right." Niromi left, slamming the door behind her. Sai regained his composure and place his fingers on his temples. "She expected me to dodge her right hook and it looked like she was gonna throw one, but then she changed her mind and hit me with her knee. I don't think she had enough time to consider that when she was reacting from her embarassment. It's as if she knew I what I was going to do." Then it hit him. "Deja Vu. She felt like it had happened before. Her near death experince must have given her the ability to see into the future."

Strange thing is psychological horror doesn't follow this pattern most of the time Example: Hannibal But horror is emotional and gets emotional to a person because it is somewhat psychological in nature. I would guess that the difference is that horror has the psycho part affecting the viewers real time while psycho horror has the psycho bits all over the movie and still gets the viewer real time, its more than just horror I love psycho horror ^_^ idky i wanna see Orphan
  12. :o How bout, the game starts out with Emily on a mission, this way you could fully introduce her character without explicitly saying it. Say for instance shes in has broken in to a castle and is trying to steal a particular gem. You have to fight the guards to try and get to the queen's room. Once Emily gets there, the queen who is in her room wearing the gem is alarmed and gets angry at Emily. The queen doesn't realize Emily is a theif at first, but when she does her demeanor changes, becoming paniced and frightned. She begs for her life with her valuables but when Emily asks for the gem, the Queen refuses. The queen tries to make an escape, but then Emily uses some kind of blood mage magic to paralyze her. The queen realizes it and says something like "Im...Impossible a blood mage!" Emily, then starts walk closer to the queen who is begging for her life, once she gets to her she takes the gem(you can just play a sound effect that sounds like a gem or taking something).Then Emily walks toward the door, but before she leaves she takes away the paralysis. But then before Emily exits the queen could say. "How bold of you, why don't you kill me like you did my guards, Blood Mage. I've seen your face, and soon I will take your life!" "The Emily laughs and says, go ahead and try, Its immpossible to takes something thats already gone." (This implies that she has nothing to live for). She exits, then the Queen rushes out of her room into the hall way. Emily is nowhere to be seen, but there are guards laying everywhere, they aren't killed, the queen comments. A soldier even comes up to her to assure the fact that the intruder did not kill anyone, but can also not be found. It then fades out and fades in to show Emily, who is inside a pub or shop in the town when a fellow colleague of her guild comes in and brings her a message from the supreme theif to report back to the guild immeadeatly. Also so it doesn't seem like its a filler, you could have that very queen return, demanding Emily to get back her gem from the supreme theif/guild or she will make war with the Nekos. Also if you aren't able to edit the cms, make an item called "journal"(unlimited use) that calls a common event. Call it "journal" or something like that. Then make a variable named "Journal entry" make a conditional branch set it to variable equal to and leave it at zero, deselect set handling when conditions do not apply. Then inside the branch make the message that reminds of objective. Give ita name box thats says Entry #Number, try to avoid using 1 because it makes it seem like that would be her first mission. Once that event is completed, put a Control Variables: [Journal Entry] +=1 in there to tell the event that the player has moved on to a new entry. Note: Once the Emily meets The Princess, it switches to Zach, you could give him a different item called, Paladin's notebook (and do Change Items: [Journal] -1), that calls the same event as the Journal and it would be on a different entry that would be zach's objective. When he gets to jessica have him put his notebook on the desk and leave it there and then use Change Items: [Palidin's Notebook] -1. When you join up with Emily in the princess use Change Items: [Journal] +1. Have him lose his notebook so that the player has to use Emily's Journal. Later you can find Palidin's notebook again, which you will use for a different task I.E increasing Paladin rank or something. For this you would create a second palidin notebook that calls another event similar to the journal 1 @> Conditional Branch: Variable [Journal Entry]==0 @>Text: Name\[Entry #56] I need to make it passed the guards and infiltrate the Queen's room to retreive the gem. :Branch End @> Conditional Branch: Variable [Journal Entry]==1 @>Text: Name\[Entry #57] I need to find and kill the princess of the Nekos in city of ... :Branch End @> Conditional Branch: Variable [Journal Entry]==2 @>Text: Name\[Note #63(this is in the paladin notebook)] I need to find to go see Jessica here before I leave town. :Branch End @> Conditional Branch: Variable [Journal Entry]==3 @>Text: Name\[Entry #58] We need to go into the cave to get the fruit of Ganji. :Branch End Erase Event This is :o is a very direct version with the objectives, if you want it to seem more like a journal entry you could have it be more descriptive of the situation, only implying the objective and locations.

  14. after playing for a while I havea few suggestions, 1st it seems like you have a CMS, which is nice, but its kind of clutter, I don't know how it works but in my opinion, where you have the option of viewing amount of currenccy(lirith i think) and play time put the actual play time and amount of currency, that way its faster, also you should add an objective option which shows your players objective. I literally had to wonder back to that fayora place like 3 times just to be told where i shouldn't be and who i should be looking for. 2nd. THe towns seem pretty empty, the mine had the greatest npc population density 3rd. most of the towns maps are pretty strange, as in you hit a boundary or something, what you should do is make the entrances and exits more obvious. If the city is walled in, on the overworld, then put walls at the edge of the map, if its a bunch of buildings with no walls put buildings, if there is more than one opening on the overworld then it would be wise to have it so you can actually enter and exit through those, example town of four cornered building which leads to number 4 4th try and make the town maps resemble the overworld icon, example, forest of goblins. from the overworld I expected a forest, but entering in i found a field. place trees at the edges and all around. Hint, by using obtacles in your maps you restrict the avalable points off access there by forcing the player to go through your exits alone. 5th the story is to direct, the dialouge is k but there needs to be more distractions, unless your goal is for the game to be quick hint for exterior forest mapping layer 1 lay base, then randomly place small objects, then place obstacles in every place you dont want a character to be, overlap when neccesary, dont be afraid to overlap, it makes it more realistic, cause trees don't grow in lines

I have expereinced the same problem with 2 of my projects The strange thing is it normally only happens to 1 event, but if i copy and paste that data into another event, it wont work also do you have any special scripts which tileset are you using and is it set p correctly in the database does this only happen with this event, if you change the first action what happenes does it skip even if you seperate each individual movement into seperate move command boxs do u have any extra rgss files whats ur ram cpu and does ur computer lag? try changing from move right to move left or another command entirely like jump. heres another forum with the same problem http://freebirdgames.com/forum/index.php?topic=1202.0

The new girl with red hair, was really nervous, well, who wouldn't be in this situation. Inch by inch he moved, the tension mounting twofold with every passing second. Suddenly, the bus tilted back. Everyone froze. Any movement would tip the bus, even a simple breath. Then, just as quickly as it had titled, it landed back on its front wheels. A wave of relief passed through Niromi's face. Then, the bus fell. I't plummeted silently down the cliffside. slamming into the rocky shore and crushed as if it was compacted at a junkyard. while sinking, the deathtrap exploded, scourching the remains and spilling lit gas all over the water. No human could ever survive that kind of accident...

  19. It suprises me how many of these cliches i subconsiously use, :o weird thing is the cliched bits are all twisted out of proportion example Rebellious Princess. Stereotypical character in many RPGs. Rebellious princess escapes from castle and joins party (Marle, Cecilia, Nina, etc.). Mother of All Cliches, the. In every single RPG, without exception, you are trying to save the world. Natural Ability. All party members are already trained fighters and/or magic users, even when there is no reason for them to be so. (look at Chrono Trigger... why does Crono, who's just some random kid, be a trained swordsman? Why would the princess know how to use a bow? etc.) In the game that I plan to make The Princess is the main character but she has no ideas shes a princess, and everyone in your party was trained at some point in combat

That would be awesome... :o K I guess a good procedure would be for me to send you a recommended tileset to use, you can choose to use a diffrent one, and ill send it to yah, then open up a new project in rmxp, import the tileset, and make the map, if u could give me a pic of the database setup so i could change it in my database. you don't need to put events and if you do make it events like a description of an item or an area restriction, also b3fore you send me the map get a screen shot of it so i can give adjustments, I will probably be really vague at first so if you need clarification feel free to ask. When your ready, just reply saying you are.
