Geri 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) i dont really understand your bugreport, you should explain it if you got a bug, you must also write there your cpu, number of your CPU cores, operating system (version?, servicepack?), graphics card?, the driver version of your graphics card, amout of your ram, the VRAM of your graphics card, the display resolution of your screen, your sound card and driver version, your additional IO devices (gameport). Without this necessary parameters, i cant do anything for you. Edited May 1, 2011 by Geri

Geri 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Hmm this brand can come in various configurations. Please make a batch (.BAT) file in the maker3d/bin directory called debug.bat, type to the bat file: engine.exe > debug.txt then save it and execute the debug.bat. it will produce a debug.txt, it will contain the messages that maker3d's graphics engine outputs to the console, please paste those texts to here OR you can just maximise the console and create a screenshot from it, and paste it here. thx Edited May 1, 2011 by Geri

Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) I have a few issues here... 1) Trial version that can not save....is out right distasteful. I would rather have a time limit trial (say like 14 days) with the ability to save. This would be like Adobe saying, "you can try EVERY ASPECT of our adobe products, but you can not save them." 2) Your website contains HTML errors (13 of them) and warnings (3 of them). The design itself is quite cheaply made (no offense). More people might be up to buying the product if your site looked better design wise as well. In fact in this modern age the site you have now is some what inferior to the technology available. You have way to much gray and very little white which makes it all clash with each other. You also have images that hug the edge of the centered content and this looks bad (makes you look lazy). *If you like I can make a new design (error and warning free; HTML and CSS validation; cross browser compatible as well). If you are interested just send me a PM and I can show you some sample work. 3) I am not sure if you can't afford your own community, but if money is tight I suggest ZataBoard; free forum hosting with options for add free and use your own domain name. I thinking doing this will add more interest in the product you are trying to sell. EDIT The battle system is horrible; the animation needs a lot of work. Some smoothing of the walking and attacking is needed. I personally would not buy it after testing it out; if it can't function smoothly like a basic RPG on a computer then you can't expect them to pay money for a cheap product (no offense). I suggest visiting sites like Game Dev as it has many indie game makers and hobby game makers that could offer advice or even help you improve it to make it worth the money you charge or even worth more. Geri 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 -i have no resources to enhance the graphics/animation quality at the moment, and its not planned currently, explanation is below. -html+css validation: idc -site / portal / board / community = on they way, depends on the future. I alreday thinking on to change the design, but no inspiration yet... -competitive rpg-related engines on gamedev cannot competite with my software, becouse they are incohesive, they lack the content, they just ,,one screenshot'' engines, real games canot be developed with them. You will see them if you try it them out and use them for a few days, of course if you are able to find a better product, i suggest to use that, this is capitalism, i also always use the best product that can satisfy my needs :D -Maker just can slowly become to prettyer. Only the current life-path of the software can keep up. Essential expandation in the maker is currently impossible: expected plus profit would not worth the brutal amount of plus work. thank you for your oppinions
Marked 197 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 I'm going to make the 'arguing' posts invisible to restore the quality of the topic. Noob Saibot, what is this (rhetorical, I don't want a reply) This is poor excuse. If you made the software you have the ability to do this! This isn't chat so speak words. You don't need inspiration. Just look around at other sites. Perhaps you should READ what I said. I told you COULD GET HELP TO IMPROVE IT. I said NOTHING about any game making software on Game Dev...pay attention. All you wish is to have cheap software...that's all you will ever have...again another excuse...laziness as we call it. Clearly you don't care so why thank me..... It's just rude, confronting, and you do it over and over. You make valuable posts that no one else would take the time to post but ruin it with your responses. Things like 'pay attention' and 'again another excuse...laziness as we call it'... One thing we used to have pride in here on RMXPU is being a game making site who didn't have members who posted like that. Be friendly. Thats it.
vincestick 13 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 I seem to have a little issue...I downloaded it, started it up....now what do I do? lol The 'menu' thingy is a bit confusing...or rather they aren't labeled very good...which option is the map editor? And whenever I do click on something, a loading screen pops up, gets to maybe 70-80% complete...then stops loading and doesn't respond. Thanks
Geri 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 The left items of the scrren are the map editor. Watch it in the youtube video, how to handle the map edition. Geri 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) operation antiCRY: ------------------ In the past 4 days, i coded. I did nothing else. I have total eaten 4 times: 4 x 3 slice of bread. I have total showered 1 time. So i currently stink. The reason is, that i have started to make serious performance and structural update in the code, and i have accidentally found brutal bugs, wich was now appeared more stronger, becouse i now compile the executables in optimized 6x86 mode. (And accitdentally, something, somewhere is released, and i had a buggy software to competite with it, so i had to fix it without any delay.) It was very gory to workaround these bugs, but i cant wait any longer with this patch, so i had to release it IMMEDIATELY, build670 was awfull. So i worked as hard as i can to put the new version together within the shortest possible time, this was a huge coding-rush, i take this maker very serious. EVERYBODY SHOULD TO UPDATE TO THIS VERSION. build 681 -Changed loading screen design -Some small design changements in the maker's editor -Changed right parameter panel -Testing map now resets script execution properly -Fixed pentagram flickering in the battle system -Now editor automatically uses the Non-Power-Of-Two textures, if it can -Battle system enemy selection may showed wrong enemy, fixed -Enemy may attacked alreday dead hero becouse of an unitialized data in the code -Magic list showed broken Red Magic parameters until it floated to the screen -60% speed up in the graphics pipeline -Graphics engine caused matrix stack overflow, fixed -Graphics engine sometime touched shader functions without reason, fixed -Battle camera may showed wrong image when the teams showed -Battle system printed memory garbage sometimes, when an attack affected the whole team -Heroes and enemys now squat correctly, if they injured seriously -Cacheing recived a loading bar -There may was broken vertices above the heroes when they stopped walking, fixed -20-30% speed improvement in the animated model loading -Battle camera code now does not watch to upward if the enemy/hero is small -Better radar -Scripts was missing from radar, fixed -Now you can switch lines in script editor by clicking into they line number -From now, failsafe Direct3D mode available for GPU's without OpenGL drivers (experimental, in game mode only) download links will be refreshed within the next 16 hours. Geri 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2011 Intel HD graphics series/GMA series are probably the most famous graphics deaccelerators, wich has around 50+ % market share in the universe among GPU's. And peoples are tortrued me, to make maker3d compatible with this beautifull graphics cards also. So i just did it. I have added a low graphics quality mode to Maker3D, so the editor currently can run playable on Intel HD graphics series. It can found in the Maker3D menu, and can be adjusted in real time. It also can switched back to full graphics quality easilly. This maybee also helps on SiS and S3 graphics cards. BUILD 704: -accidentally, build 702 used a bit darker lighting modell. fixed. -editor can be switched to low graphics mode (Intel GMA owners now can be happy) please note: download mirrors will be refreshed within 2 day
