Hi Valdred, Welcome to RMXPUnlimited.
-
I wanted to confirm this so I tried it owainc.net and it is the same. If you want to reply, do it in PM so we can get on topic here.
-
Sounds good to me, I'll keep an eye out for updates.

Hey there RMXPUnlimiters! For those who don't know me, my name is Mark, you're friendly RMXPUnlimited administrator. I am the creator of RMXPUnlimited, which was officially started in May, 2006. It is the first month of 2010, and the site is still up 'n running, with big plans for the future. We're only 3 years young, and just beginning to come out of our shell. In this blog I will be 'logging' and discussing new stuff on RMXPUnlimited, and there is PLENTY to come. Hopefully enough members will be regular readers and we can have some decent discussions and user-suggested features implemented here on the site. In the next few weeks-to-months to come, I will be bringing out the perfectionist inside me and finally completing the forum skin, which was started early November '09. Thanks for reading!

Welcome back sabao. I remember you, most notably for your project Steel Hearts. You registered here a wee bit over two years ago, you registered only a couple of days after the forums 1st birthday in '07. Still a long long time. hope you enjoy your stay this time round :) EDIT: I went looking for your Steel Hearts topic here, and noticed only the logo remained: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/963-steel-hearts/ . I remember the topic being well presented, it must have been since I can still remember it. Do you plan to re-post it's content?

Pol did make a topic actually. Welcome back Joey. You didn't miss too much, but you should check out the latest announcement topic: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/4082-re-integration/

Hebi I think that's universal with forums. You could just right-click and open in a new tab. By the way Tomo, I misread your post before. I fixed the links in your signature like you originally wanted.

That is a really strange error... Thanks for pointing it out Zeriab. The new code tags use a php file to 'prettify' code on forums. But with large RGSS scripts posted on the forums, it just lags up the page. I redo the code tags and hopefully this will solve the breaking issue. EDIT: Alright Zeriab, I believe I have fixed the problem. I also noticed this in your RMXP FAQ topic. A quick rebuild of posts should fix it up. Thanks for making me aware of this. EDIT2: This is really strange. After editing your post and saving changes (without any changes to your post) the BBCode works again. But refresh the page and it breaks. Since the edit is ajax and doesn't actually reload the page, I think it could be a skin related issue or something external. Otherwise I'm not entirely sure what's causing it...

If he was not there, 'father' is simply a title. It's hard to give an opinion when its nearly impossible to put yourself in someone elses context. You are here because of your father and you have his blood. I think because of that you should care a little bit, that's not to say be sad as there's no emotional attachment. I hope this isn't inappropriate, but my condolences to your family.

This is a software bug, it will be fixed in the next upgrade. These days, to upgrade I will have to first do it offline on a test board to see if the forum bridge and SEO mod still work. EDIT: Hmm, that error was annoying, I fixed it up. The year now extends to 2011 :) Sorry for my lack of urgency.. Thanks for making the topic Hebi, I appreciate members who make RMXPUnlimited a better place. [closed]

Wow, that's amazing Sabao. I dont know who's gonna top that.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, it seems like the really slow login is an error in the script. I'm not sure how to fix it at this point, but I'm going to be looking into it... A little update, the login module is taking form: All the links are conditionary. If you a new Personal Message, the link will show up, otherwise it will be hidden. Similarly if you have an album or a blog, the links will show up there. EDIT: I have disabled the login sync to prevent the lag on login. As far as I know, all the member accounts are synced, and members who register from now are synced on registration, so this shouldn't make a difference.

RMXPUnlimited is now (once again) bridged with the website. This simply means that you can login to the website using your forum account. In August when we upgrade the forum the bridge was broken and members were no longer able to login to the website. This is because the upgrade was a complete rewrite of the new software, meaning new framework and functions etc. making the bridge useless. This is quite an achievement as well, I'm not sure any site with the same software has this kind of integration. I spent the last two days reading documentation and studying code, and to my surprise, I was able to upgrade the original bridge to work with this version of the forum software. At the moment, perhaps this may seem a bit useless. This is nothing in particular that a member can on the website that a guest cannot, but this well definitely change. The great thing about this integration is that you actually have a full website account and all the functions that go with it. I was waiting for this bridge to finally happen so I can start development on my components from the RMXP Unlimited in 2010 topic. These components will allow you to submit content (such as RGSS Scripts, Projects & Reviews) using your account, and they will be displayed using a CCK component(for example, the individual script items in the scripts archives). Also note that logging in and logging out are very slow at the moment. I think the reason for this is that all the member accounts are being synced to the website, and there are a lot of accounts to sync. So it should be temporary. I will be modifying the login module soon on the website to display some of your account details(posts, PMs, avatar, etc.). We need help to ensure that this integration is stable. If you encounter any login related issues on the forum or website, please report them here in this topic.

Hi there, If you want the character to move slowly temporarily(for example, on the particular map), you can do so by setting up an event with the "Trigger" set to "Parallel Process". In the event commands, add a "Set Move Route"(tab 2), amongst the options there is Change Speed and Change Frequency. That will slow him down for sure, the Change Frequency will control the frame speed.

Nice work Hebi, you're working your way up the overall top posters list too.

Come back soon, joey!

Great, both topic links are fixed up. If you find anymore, just post the link to the topic and I'll find the links. Thanks for helping out :)

Hi all, Today I'd like to ask you, if you could make any fan-game you wanted, which would it be? I want to create a new poll on the website to find out which fan-games members and passers-by want to create the most. Make sense? For example, bleach, DBZ, Final Fantasy(whatever that is), etc. One-word/title posts are allowed in this topic, but give me as many as you want. Oh, and can anyone guess why we want to put up this poll?
-
Well I'm thinking of adding a single forum for it. As I told you in a PM, I was thinking of adding a forum for each engine for support and discussion, and then another for game development in general(which was your suggestion in that PM). But we would remain RPG Maker orientated with a goal of developing more RPG Maker VX content.
-
Yes Hebi perhaps you are correct, but that discussion is for another topic. I like your idea Leon, it's a good starting point for the topic. Can anyone build on that?

Hey! Thanks for the update. Life does seem to carry us away to new things, but thanks for stopping by. I hope you can come by more often.

Writers Forum, Fast Reply & Recent Posts Hook
Marked replied to Marked's topic in Announcements & News
I doubt many members will do it 'manually', but there are links at the top of the forum which allow you to view all the new content. I stated in the first post where to find the link, it shouldn't be a problem. And there is also the exact same latest posts module on the website which is based of the recent posts hook. Besides, it's really hard to know what to do without feedback. -
Ah, cool. Is RMXPU first? ;) Internet here isn't quite the same. In my town I live outside the city, so my internet at very very best, will not go above 800kb/s. But most downloads are around 350-400kb/s. I'm going to assume that is slow compared to what you've got.
