  1. Congratulations Tomo. The frontpage MOTM module has been updated and I'll update the MOTM page shortly. Have you lost your mind?
  2. This may help: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/3913-complete-rpg-maker-xp-spriting-guide/ You should definitely continue using the tilesets you have. Do not wait, otherwise your project will more than likely fail. This is quite common on the forums, a lack of resources unnecessarily preventing the continuation of project. So just go for it. If your tiles need re-adjusting however(not sure what you mean by not fitting together) then that should be easy to fix, as long as they are 32x32 tiles.

    XP Resolution

Welcome Arkaua, hope you get out of the hospital soon. I assume you are talking about the actual editor? The resolution when testing the game is 640x480, so that should fit in your screen. On the offical RPG Maker XP website it says this for screen res(minimum requirement): 1024x768 or better video resolution in High Color mode. So I'm not too sure what you can do. Mapping should be fine, but opening the database and script editor are going to be a pain..
  4. Welcome back :) I was wondering where you had got to.

    Money!!!

Coin. I.e. "I'm going to get me some coin".
  6. Sorry for the Downloads Manager problems evil cabbage... I do urge you to continue using it for your uploads though as it will be upgraded within the near future. Included in this upgrade is a completely different uploading system, so I'm hoping it will be more stable and widely used on the forums.
  7. Welcome to the forums Foxxe. Glad to have you aboard ^_^
  8. I'm pleased to hear that you are feeling better Ravenclaw. I hope it will get easier as time goes on. It's good to hear that you're slowly returning back here too, this place was inspired by you all those years ago.

    My 1-800

Hebi you need to stop taking suggestions and ideas as criticisms. If you like I can just close the topic. With your idea, there is also the issue of differing laws in countries. What is illegal in the USA may be legal in Sweden. For example, the police of Sweden (and the US government) tried to take down piratebay, but they "failed miserably" according to the creators. I suggest watching the movie "Steal this Film". I live in New Zealand, and I know a thing or two about our laws. If I hosted illegal content on my site which i hosted from my computer, how would you, a person living in the USA, shut my site down? This is NOT a criticism, its a hypothetical question that I am curious about. My second hypothetical question(which should be a bit easier): If the site hosted from my computer supplied LINKS to illegal downloads, how would you shut me down? And remember, for your authorities to have any power over me, there has to be an international treaty(which i'm unaware of if there is any. But the FBI or some authority from the USA did arrest a hacker living here, but i dont know if they have the same authority under these circumstances) Also I HEARD that there is a grey area when there are simply links to illegal content, so that content is not hosted on the site itself.
  10. Sorry for the delay. All the emoticons with 6 or more votes were added to the default emoticons box. All between 2-6 votes were added to the emoticons box visible when "Show All" is clicked. Thanks for voting everyone, hope you enjoy your new smilies

    My 1-800

I have a theory on illegal downloads related to the 'loss' of companies. Hypothetically, if I were to download 100 movies a year from my internet connection, and the profit gained if I were to pay to see it was $10, the movie guys would say they have lost a total of 100x10, which is $1,000. But here's my theory. If the movie is not on the internet, I may not want to go see it at a theater anyway. Where I live I have to drive 30 minutes to get to a movie theater, so it would be petrol and ticket price, rather expensive. So the point is, I may only want to watch the movie if I can ONLY get it free. So you see the calculation of companies assume that everyone who downloads files for free WOULD buy the product/service if it was not available on the internet. This is highly inaccurate, as a lot of people are not willing to pay the market price anyway. If anything it is beneficial for the companies for their products to be downloaded illegally. People use their products who otherwise wouldn't, and therefore it's more popular. In fact 2009 was a revenue record for the movie industry, taking over from the record set in 2008. I hope this gave you something to think about, Hebi.
  14. @evil cabbage: thats odd, for me it was a normal .exe file. Nice work on this guys, it was a crack up. I liked the NPC's too.
  15. Very nice evil cabbage. I gave it a go and works like a charm. I'm also VERY impressed with your use of the Downloads Manager, certainly not an overused part of the site. Some members would upload files to a some host and the links will die, or you'll get attacked by ads etc. If I were to make a suggestion, since this is a simple app, it may be more convenient to not have to install it into program files and just have it so the user can click an icon straight after downloading.
  16. Thanks Kaylen :) I was hoping though that this topic was going to start a discussion.
  17. Can you post the link to the script?
  18. Thanks guys, its good to be back. Though doesn't look like anything's changed since I was gone. I'm not sure if I have ever been a full week without ever looking at the site before. Even when I left for 2 months I still checked up on it. And Leon, 1 minute... cut me some slack. Actually I was 12 minutes early, which is good enough for me to call it a week.
  19. Welcome to RMXP Unlimited Vortican. If you're interested in scripting I'm sure I can point you in the right direction for some tutorials.

    Your Pics

Cool pic, i wanted to join the army back when i was in highscool. I already knew what you looked like from your youtube videos you posted a while back.
  21. Nice turn out for votes this time. I was going to nominate a member in the nomination topic, but someone else had already nominated that member. So I will stick by that and give my vote to that member. Goodluck nominees.
  22. Hey there! Welcome back to RMXPUnlimited. ^_^ It's always great when the really old members return, '07 was a great year. I definitely remember you. Will this be an extended visit? :)
  23. Yep I am currently trying to expand on RPG Maker VX on RMXPUnlimited. I only recently realized how much time had passed since the release of RMVX. I think its 2 years now, and RMXP was being used all the way back in 2004. Well Ultyma, welcome back. I hope you stay a little longer this time. ^_^
  24. Welcome back, I was wondering where you had gone.
