Gosh, I'd love to join, and your prices seem fairly great, but thats a whole lotta work, and I'm not exactly free a lot of the time now.

Hebi, could I see a graphics to-do list before I agree to anything? I'd like to see how much work is required and a more detailed job description before I say anything.

I am terribly sorry to inform you of this, but my prices are going up. I had to take some time to re prioritize my time and resources, and The money is great, but I'll need a tad more. I'd like to discuss this with you personally. Do you have some form of messenger?

You see, I used to do work for free, and it was great and all, but Ive got my own projects as well, and any time that draws me away from my own wwork must be compensated. Ive got a hosting company to put on the internet by the end of the month, my own MMO to get a beta out by July, and then dealing with peoples paid requests... I cant just be running around, doing everyone's work. Its all within good reason.

this is all I really have right now. Ive got a few little bits hear and there, but this is my best thus far: I'm in the beginning stages of redoing that sprite. Its harder when working with larger pieces.

Well, Im making an MMO with different technology, but I was just seeing if it could make a good game. Im gonna attempt to take a lookat it again soon, but for now, ittl settle in the dust, lol

Well, As I am busy, my prices will not be very low. $3.00-$5.00 per sprite. $15.00-$25.00 per tile sheet. (consisting of about 100 tiles) $0.50 per icon. anything I missed? Sorry bout the prices, but theyre actually quite low compared to others. Most pixel artists would charge like $50-$100 for a tile sheet, but seeing as how youre new to commercial projects, I'm giving you a huge discount, as I believe your budget may not be that big. btw, these are starting prices. once the work load gets bigger and bigger, the prices start rising. supply and demand.

It is so very confusing. first off, it doesnt start with any resources, that I could tell. Second, the tiles are of 64x64 and thats just large for pixelart... its is very strange. The layout is much more confuisng than RM. more tabs, different names of things, and I dunno... Does anybody else have this? Should I attempt a game with it? Im super busy, but in my spare time, should I try? I think the games from it can be embedded into sites as well.

Well, it could work a few different ways. First one is that the peson fills out a form that has different ammounts of space, bandwidth, email accounts, and such, and then the form acts as a calculator and creates a total, which then emails it to me, and I set it up, they pay me, and then they get their hosting. Or, for a more personal experience, they contact me to barter for a price and specs, and we go from there. Im liking the form idea, but we'll see how well that goes. Also, Expect a Discount to RMXPU members. I will set up a coupon code or something. Im still making the site, then I gotta install the host managing software and figure that out.

Damn am I a busy fool, but how much money are we talking for some pixel art?

So, Instead of making a few different "businesses" that do different things, Im creating one mega business. Need cheap, reliable web hosting? We've got it. Need us to design you a website? we can do that. Need an awesome logo done for cheap? No problem. Looking for a new game? We're making some really awesome ones, including an MMORPG now in production. We will also have an awesome community set up for most needs. Sheesh, I am damn glad I took to pixelling in the late 2008. Im actually not bad at pixel art anymore. 2009 was almost a year wasted, but I learned a ton about different things when it comes to my art and my game development. I left RM behind, as I felt it was too limiting. I see now that its not the engine, its the story, the interactions, the laughter. I will still not Use it, as Ive got bigger dreams, but I dont look down upon it now. I envy the simplicity of it actually.
