Well I haven't gotten much help from Bigace, and Pol knows about as much about scripting as I do, so he can't always help anyway.

I plan to do a more traditional demo with this game. It will start by giving the player 3 options: -The first main quest This will let you play through the first main quest, "The Beginning" of course. -Demo dungeon This will let you play through a demo dungeon featuring a couple different kinds of puzzles that will be in the full game. -Item synthesis and stat maxing This will make you lvl 99, and take you to a place where you can fight enemies to get items for creating stat boosting items and really strong equipment. That's the plan at least. The battle system still needs work before I can release anything.

You did say you wanted to stop working on the site once. I also made a Doctor Who reference. Didn't expect you to get it anyway. :P I personally want you to keep working on the site. It needs work.

The first new town in Arcatis II (New as in, it wasn't in the first game) Is an Elven village called Melodale. They live a bit like Hobbits, and have never gotten along well with humans. I plan to explain more about their history, and the main villain's past in the third game, which might be called "Arcatis III: The War of Arcatis" See a pattern in the names yet? When the player first visits the town, no one there likes them. Some so far undecided event happens which requires the player to save an Elf or two, maybe the whole town, causing some Elves to start rethinking their behavior towards Humans. The Elves' relationship with Humans should, at first, seem like a subplot, but I plan to give it a much bigger part in the third game, and the legend of Arcatis.

It seems that when a scripter or spriter joins an RPG Maker forum, they are one of the very few there, and are sometimes the only active one. This causes everyone else to constantly request things from them. These awesome people then seem to just disappear without a trace or a goodbye. They could be very busy, or they could've just gotten annoyed and became sick of all the requests. While people who request too much and don't do enough for themselves can be annoying, when a scripter or spriter leaves, it's unfair for those of us who do what we can, and look to these people simply for help and to teach us how to do these things our selves so we don't need to make quite so many requests. This results in people like me, who are trying to finish a game by ourselves, never getting the resources we need, so we don't finish our games. Or we find easy and lazy alternatives, lowering the quality of the games. It's not really the scripter's fault, I think it's the people who keep asking for things, and don't do enough for themselves. I have no one to script or sprite for me, and I'm trying my best to learn how to do both, so when someone bugs a scripter or spriter, and ends up ruining it for everyone, I can't help but get a little frustrated and impatient when my scripting questions go unanswered and my sprite requests are ignored. Well that's how I see it. Feel free to say I'm wrong, politely.

Last night I had The Shire song from The Lord of the Rings stuck in my head and thought it would be cool to have a village where people live in the sides of cliffs. I decided to make all Elves live like this.

Well people want to be scared, not uncomfortable. Know what I mean? Scared as in, fear of that scary noise, those blood stains, that shadow, the hand on your shoulder... Fearing for your virginity isn't something people want in a game I think...

Now that I've already talked to you on skype, welcome to RMXPU...I mean GDU...er...RMU! Not much else I can say that hasn't been said other than... We're all really nice people, except for the select few that I just want banned, but have never broken any rules...

I can definitely see why even fans of horror games (I am not one in any way) would avoid a game like that. Rape is, ironically, a sensitive subject (Ironically because i don't think there should be a discussion about it.) and victims tend to be very traumatized by it. Sex in general is very private and most times portrayed, almost, as something very bad. To be honest, I don't like the story of the game, and the idea of playing it makes me feel a bit...I don't know, nervous i guess you could say. I would bet it's the kind of thing that would have a "viewer discretion is advised" thing if it were on tv, and be categorized in the bad stuff section along with, but not NEARLY as bad as, a game where you're jewish and being chased by Nazis through Auschwitz...Yea, that's a little over the top, but I think...well HOPE you get what I mean...

I agree that 2D games are dying, but they're still around AND being made my large companies like Nintendo. Let's not get off topic though.

It's because everyone is terrible at making there own except for a select few who are born with that superpower. those people just get annoyed with all the requests and hide in caves or just stop taking requests.
