easy dude, i have got it all in this download for you--- http://www.mediafire...aqge0aef9nqswgo please note, i used the pokemon essentials kit to put this together, basically i replaced all the scripts with rpg makers original ones, its got all the tilesets like before, i have added what i believe to be full sets of pokemon from the first, second and third gen pokemon, i have also added some legendaries from the newer games, i haven't re added the database from the default database so you will have to copy and paste the data over if you want it, also you will have to import icons ect if the data needs them, you can do this simply by exporting the images from a default project into a designated folder, then importing them into your pokemon game under the materials tab just next to the database, only copy and paste the database over once you sorted all the materials out, i also added a nice fire sprite, its on the map as soon as you press play, if you need any more help im always here :) oh ye remember to give credits where needed if you release your game to the public, so to whoever put the essentials kit together and i got all the pokemon sprites from a rar file by ~twinlightownz if you want the battle style to be like the one in the vid you will have to research into custom battle scripts, there are lots that are easy to set up, so its up to you what style you choose edit- oh yeh i get a bit ahead of myself sometimes, i added the fire sprite or your idea above, sounds great, the only disadvantage i could see is that the start towns in pokemon are generally small, so it would be hard to set a huge comotion, i you started in a city or something where you could utilize the massive onslaut lol :P

i am currently at work at the mo on my break but as soon as i get home ill compile all of my pokemon graphics into a demo for you, i think i got all the hoen and johto sprites but maybe missing some here and there, ill also compile tilesets in there for you to use, but that will be in like 6 hours as im on a 12 hour shift lols :) edit: been thinking about it, and i think you should start it as main character or something wakes up, goes to check on his pokemon or something, they seem fine, then later on in the day a strange aura fills the region, eg team rocket succeed in taking over the minds of pokemon, then you could have it that you gotta fight your way through them to get to team rocket and destroy there machine or whatever there using to control the minds of pokemon, only an idea, i hope its good enough to get you started on :)

sounds cool, i agree with noob saibot, scripts are much better, for the fact that i dont have to create loads of events on one map to make it work, but saying that everyone to there own opinion eh :)

cool, if your gonna take the event proccess i would suggest having a house with a house servant or something that stores info, so say youve accepted a quest of whoever, then it activates quest name switch, then on the servant the conditional branch with that switch condition should activate telling you what quest it is ect

if i understand what you said correctly you only want the pokemon graphics like the tilesets and event graphics? edit: for the sprites on map you will have to import loads of ones of the net, just google rpg xp pokemon sprites, usually they come in packs of the regional game they were for, you may have a hard time getting sprites for the new games like dimond and black ect, the legendaries should be fine but people may not have made alot of them

this ones very basic and uses the default skin, but its very affective, if you were not to use a script and completely event your quests, there would be a hell of a lot of conditional branches, and the chances are that once you sorted it all there could be minor loop holes

theres a script i use for a quest menu, it will only add quests to it once started, via script call, then it outiline the status of the quest in a color if completed or not, and also stores an info page on the details of the quest the link is here: http://forum.chaos-p...hp?topic=3689.0 , to call the menu scene call this script: $scene = Scene_Quest.new edit- i also think you can remove quests once completed, it should be in the script instructions

its because you have stop aniation ticked, instead it does the opposite of what it says, and keeps the event moving

hey im using a visual equipment script but because of my custom menu script, you cannot un-equip armours, and what the visual script does is it generates a sprite of armour or helmet ect and overlaps it with your character, so because you start the game with armour and must always have some equiped, you will never see that there is no default body, so the question is do you think these faces are good enough to bases, the first been human, second orc and third elven, i think the first 2 are ok but im unsure about the elven one, as in movies like lord of the rings ect, they have the same color complection as a human, but in games like oblivion they apear to be rather dark and sinister, i will be adding different facial detail later so you can pick from multiple ones when you start the game, oh yea and for hair- i can only make small detailed hair as if it is spikey and wild, when you equip a helm the hair will be coming out of the sides, so my question is do you think i should make hair templates that act as helms, so you equip the hair instead, this way you could have fire hair ect which enhances starts? edit- i was also having trouble making the elves ears spike from the sides of the face without it coming out the sides of the helm, if you could edit it to look decent that would be great, here is a template of a helm-

added mouse menu(had to remove some other menu scripts), also added visual equipment and random action scripts, they have been added to the info.

i have got a script extension for my game that searches for an ip adress when when the rgss exe is launched, then i have a gui that that hosts this using the rpg maker data, but the server also needs a database where all the personal account info is stored, using mysql to store this, to add on that the script also conects to the mysql database so if this doesnt exist then the online conection would be imposible, for extra features like global time extension scripts need to be added to the server gui, i have got it all to run fine so i your interested in experimenting with these scripts on your own project ill be happy to post my working project with all the scripts, plus all over downloads the server requires to run

oh i know, i may have got past the configuration and setting up the scripts, but to make a hole online world is going to take alot of datebasing and eventing ;)

hi there, i have recently decided to create an online mmo rpg using rpg maker xp, after a long time of hoaling the internet for a decent online script i came across rm-os which was hell to set up at first but as soon as i got my head round it it seems so easy, so here is the description of my game: title: not titled yet main story line: not drafted yet but on startup before executing your adventure on the online world you will be given 3 race choices to choose from, these are curently set to human, orc and elf but i may change them in later development, once you have selected your race you will be able to choose from 3 jobs- warrior, mage and ranger then once you select your job you will be able to select your graphic from a selection of sprites for each race, your job will not alter your choice of graphic your race will, but your job will alter what skills you learn throughout your adventure, i will make each race have a home region so the choice that you make will alter where you start in the game, also to add on that note each race will have differnt skills than the others for the job you choose, so say a human warrior has a skill that enhaces his str and a orc warrior has a similar skill, the orcs skill boost will be greater than the humans as he is a bigger body build, and elves will be far better at mage and ranging, also the race and job you choose will effect your players base hp,sp,str,dex,agil and int, giving you better starting skills for each job depending on the one you choose. side quests: i will be making lots of side quests that enable you to obtain special weppons, items and armours, throughout your quest, some side quests will be race specific for race specific items ect. weapon lvl requirments: i have found a script that makes it so that weapons will not be equipable until your character reaches a certain lvl that it requires, the lvl requirment will be in the weapons description, so say you start the game and you start with a wooden sword that is equipable at lvl 1, then the next up from this will be bronze ect.+ chat: the server features chat between players, a message of the day that will promt about updates. trading, following, guild and parties can be controled using chat comands e.g /gcreate creates a guild, /ginvite will invite a player to your created guild and they will reply with /y or/n. abs battle system: i am using blizz abs battle system, so credits to him for making it and the controler to enable it to be an online system, the battle system generates all npc's globaly so each character does not have there own seperate enemies and can group fight, the controler also has a pvp on and off function but i cannot trigger it in game yet, but i plan on been able to do so so you can have safe zones ect, the battle system controler dissables item and gold drops but auto puts gold and items won straight in the bag so that people cannot steal your loot, there will also be boss enemies for quest lines, auto respawning mobs for lvling, and i will sometimes globaly switch on epic bosses that are in a main city that require alot of people to kill it, im not sure how i would set rewards for this, but i will work on a method for this. shops: i have implemented a tax script that edits the shops sale prices on a tax percentage so you can have discount shops and so on, there will also be a skill shop so you can buy skills, skill shop not compatible with mouse plugin menu, gonna see if i can make it run global server time: i currently have the server running of my computers clock, so when you log in it will be the same time as on my computer and the days brightness fades and gets brighter throughout the course of the day, i will most probably make global switches to activate events at certain times of the day, to give full effect of this system. quest screen: i have replaced the save menu button to a quest database,as the server auto saves the characters state, here quests you have activated will be stored, giving you info on rewards, the quest objectives ect. item and weapon creation: i have implemented a gardening script so that users may grow ingredients, in the process of looking for a forge and herbalore script, so that you may create potions, weapons and armours. visual equipment and random action sprites: visual equipment puts a sprite over the player when a weapon or Armour is equipped, giving every weapon and Armour that unique feel and been able to customize your character or your needs, random action sprites is to simply get rid of the repetitiveness of swinging a sword and casting ect, what it does is adds multiple sprites to randomly generate when executing an attack so every swing and spell cast generates differently from the previous one. other misc scripts: other scripts i have implemented into the game are: hud xp, a storage script(not yet functional but im working on it/this will be used to bank items) edit: added collapsible mouse menu for that mmo feel :) the script credits for curently used scripts: -> rm-os, blizz abs, controler for blizz abs, EXP in HUD and global switches -credits to blizzard ->character races-credits to game_guy ->translucent menu-credits to LiTTleDRAgo(no need for it with new menu's) ->Advanced Shop Status Window- 1.0 - Original version by RPG Advocate 2.0 - Cleaned and fixed by Fantasist (doesnt work with mouse menu) ->Ultimate Mouse Menu-credits to wizered67 ->Tax Script- credits to Falcon ->tons of addons- theres a lot that contributed to this script so credits to you all :) ->Advanced Time and Environment System (ATES) and os plugin-credits to blizzard ->RMX-OS Following and RMX-OS Daily Messages-credits to Wizered67 ->Quest Log System and os plugin-credits to game_guy ->Dynamic Gardening-credits to ForeverZer0 ->skill shop-credits to game_guy ->weapon lvl requirment-i cant remember, your names not in the script and i found it through google but credits to you!:) ->Item Storage(if i can get it to work)-credits to game_guy ->random action sprites and visual equipment-credits to blizzard game map: i am going to draw the games map myself then import it into my game so that it is entirely unique, my idea for now is that it exists of four realms, the human realm, the elven realm, the orc realm and the void which seperates all 3 realms, when a character dies instead of loosing his items or exp, he is teleported to the deapest part of the void, and must fight there way back out of the void, the void can be directly entered to travel to another realm or lvl, explore and seek new quests within, but the void will consist of very high lvl mobs, so there will be an option to pay a group of soldiers to travel you to another realm, but this method will be expensive as the void is a very dangerous place music: a friend of mine experienced with flv studio and voice manipulation programs is going to write all the music for this game, so that all the sounds will be unique. graphics: if i use any graphics from another source you will be credited, i will also be making custom graphics for npc's, characters ect, but if you would like to see a certain graphics for npc's, characters ect. that you have made or sourced, feel free to post them, as said credits will be given and it will be hard to get a large database of npc's on my own. i hope you like the brief overview of my project, updates will be made here on screenshots, gameplay vids ect, if you have any sugestions that you would like to see featured in this game, like special quest items, with a quest that links to the item, or other gameplay features feel free to post, your views are always apretiated, many thanks diagostimo :)

I think your problem is that it is a parallel process try setting it to auto run that should fix it, I had a similar problem when I set a rock to unblock a path way via switch, ant the rock continued in the direction set even though I only specified it to move once, I think the parallel is messing it up but auto run is pretty much the same thing

I allow you to use my name in your game, I would like to be an alien or some random crazy monster as I love sci- fi shizzle, I would help with your peoject but I got alot on my plate at the minute, I look forward to your game the base sounds very cool :)

Ion the window that you set the movement make sure the repeat action is ticked off, also preferably you should set it to auto run and give the event a condition switch, that is if you don't want it to move on map entry, then when your movement is over if you do not want it to repeat make a new event tab under the same event that has a condition of self switch a, and on your movement page activate that to trigger self switch a when the movement is done, if your giving your movement a condition you can have this as a player touch event that activates the switch when you move into the sircumfrance of the event, make sure every possible entry point to the event is covered by one of these, then on it's second tab it would be blank and be on the condition that the movement is set to active on instead of a self switch, so that all the player touch events that activate the moving event change to a blank event tab, I hope this helps :)

oh ye you do need multiple programs to store your data on so others can access it but you also need the scripts to source the ip and what not when running the rgss

i think it would be fine to use the defaults for your tilesets, all i could say is that you should add to them like changing color schemes and adding some new stuff into them, iv been thinking about making an online game to, its a pain to set up but i got a project working with it online so if you need any help just ask, all i goto do is open my ports up so others can connect to my computer, but i dont have to wory abouth that until i have a functional game, oh ye i would probably have a differnt computer hosting it as you can host it all from your computer 24 7 but if your running other procceses on it it may lag out, or buy a server but there not cheap

ye but i need to be able to switch between a crawl sprite, duh i can do this by calling change sprite on button imput and making that enable a crawl space passable, but i fall into the case that if its a pipe i want it to be able to shoot over but not hit the char under it as he is crawling and the bullet is going over the pipe, which i would probably have to edit the script for that :/

hi, so im using mr mos abs as my battle script, but i want to make a crawling script thats script is joint in to the mr mos abs or coincides with it, as i want to make it so it loads a seperate sprite for crawling, and also to call a sprite in the middle of this action that is transitioning in standing up and laying down, i also want it so that it makes a tileset image passable and on top of the player, say on terrain tag 2 as abs uses tag 1 so you can shoot through unpassable objesct, and this would be so that you can crawl under obsticles, also a tag 3 would be good to make it passible when crawling and also so abs can shoot through say its a pipe, so its passible and shoot overable, but also marking it so it ignores the character when on this tile as a target when crawling under it, oh yeah these tags should only be passible when crawl is toggled on, im not very good at writing scripts but if anyone had the time that would be great and you would obviously be credited, or even if you could help by telling me what sections of the abs script i would have to edit to make this work, your regards diagostimo :)
