For those interested, Visual Studio 2010 is out, as well as the Express Editions. My tutorials (when I get back to making them) will be made in VS 2010, and can be requested in 2008.

Heh, I could always moderate one of the Creativity Corner boards. I'm always interested in stories and the like and enjoy reading other people's work.

If you're still taking Global Mod positions, I'd like to help you out with that. I generally get on a few times per day.

Stereotypes, perfect example of racism. I've heard a stereotype against African Americans that they love fried chicken and watermelon. Sadly I've seen a newspaper article about a guy confessing for two buckets of KFC >_> (and yes he was African American). I guess what I'm relating to is how in Arkbennett's example, Chinese Americans are crappy drivers while African Americans love chicken and watermelon....everyone follow me here?

Jesus is who Jesus was. As Chief said, it doesn't matter what color he was. He came to save us, we killed him (the proper term is crucified), he will come again. After all, Good Friday he was put away in his tomb, and on Easter he rose back from the dead.

StarCraft is the best RTS ever created. A close second is Age of Empires II The Conquerors Expansion Pack.

I forgot about going back that far. It was, and it helped sway the war in the Union's favor (though burning their entire landscape from the ocean deep into the South did have a favorable plus as well). I think it was more of a joke that he said that. It kind of proves his point though about how racism can be taken to the extreme with one sentence. Using a word more often doesn't change what the word is, its meaning, and where it originated from. You are right though about it being only as powerful as people let it be. Another part is that teachers get discouraged because they deal with 100 some odd students in these zones that don't care by the time they get to the higher levels. Stricter punishments would keep some in line.....another subject for another time..anyway moving on. I go to a school that's not terribly bad. We have a thriving Advanced Placement program and Honors/Pre-AP program. But the quality of the school drops because of the lower students that end up dropping out anyway. There's only so much you can do for a student before you can't help anymore. I really like discussions like this, when everyone keeps their temper. It allows for spreading of knowledge and opinions without worry of someone flipping out and getting angry, so good job guys :B):

I don't really know...it could be that a transexual can be seen as the "bridge" so to speak between gay and straight....here's why I think that: A Trans-Sexual is not really male or female, since they have both parts (the breasts of a woman and the penis of the man). This makes them in-between the genders. A male that dates a shemale could be sexually curious what it's like with another person that has a penis but isn't..."completely male" either. I don't know how to put it easier than that...

It's usually the ones that are uneducated or easily influenced. There's (sadly) a small number of pretty well educated African Americans (the politically correct term) in my school and they don't use the "n" word, but it's the ones that are in the Remedial/Basic classes that end up failing those. Not being racist either, just statistics. Not to mention we got our "school report card", and sadly, the African race was the lowest percentage of passing (at the 50%, + or - 4% per subject mark). Statistics don't lie, and someone who calls unbiased statistics is a moron (IMHO). Before I get off subject, I'll hop back on with this: Racism will always exist. There is no end in sight mostly because it is due to human nature and stereotypes. Until we can change how we are (as human beings), and change the stereotypes, we will always have Racism. As a comment to the US having racial problems, it's because of what we are: "The Melting Pot". Unfortunately, the melting pot seems to have issues with races actually melding together. Locally, we have a station called B.T.V., which stands for "Black Television". I bet if we had a W.T.V., a "White Television", it would be closed due to racial issues. <_< Those are a few examples of how racially divided our (well, for anyone that lives here) country has become and there's no end in sight. I don't have a problem with it. LBGT awareness (weird terminology, but whatever) is becoming larger and most people are OK with it now. -

Glad you like it! Server is curently down right now guys as I'm doing some upgrades to the code, but it'll be up and running in 30 or so minutes. Updated the client to Version 0.2 Alpha which includes the ability to change your status! Also fixed a very bad bug where if you registered then closed the client, the entire server was taken out. Yay for late nite testing! -
ArkMessenger Alpha 1 Release Programmed by: Formlesstree4 If anyone has been wondering what's taking so long for RMXP Pool Beta 3 to come around, this is the answer: ArkMessenger. ArkMessenger is basically a lightweight Instant Messaging System, and I mean really lightweight: The client is 76.0kb plus an 11.0kb DLL file. What ArkMessenger doesn't have: 1. Image/File Sharing 2. Smileys 3. Nudges 4. Themes 5. Flashy Graphics (remember, this is lightweight) 6. Voice over IP (VoIP) It may not ever get those six items, mostly because I have no clue how to actually implement them :sweatdrop: and because I want the program to remain small and lightweight so most older computers can run it. ArkMessenger does have the basic features of an IM Client, such as adding friends and messaging them, even individual buddy lists for each user (that was lacking in previous versions of ArkMessenger, but has since been added in). Some items on my ToDo List: 1. Status Messages 2. Different Display Names (maybe) 3. Group Chats (Conference Rooms) 4. Code Optimizations and Bug Fixes 5. A "Remember Me" feature 6. An "Auto Login" feature 7. Clicking a URL in ArkMessenger will actually do something Note: Strikeout Text means a completed feature. Now that you have (or not) read this entire post, here's a picture of ArkMessenger's Login Form and Main Form: When registering, please do not use the same password that you use on RMXP Unlimited!! The database is still being modified so I can use stronger encryption on the passwords, but I do ask that you would use your same name that you have here (so I know who all is actually registered). Enough of me blabbing, here is the zip file! Updated March 31st, 2010: Release.zip Post all bugs/comments/suggestions here! Update: New version is out! Yay! . Loads of bug fixes are in this as well as new features such as status changing, better friend list adding, notifications of people logging in and out, and probably some more.

From what I've understood, the Government is forcing something onto it's citizens. I was pretty sure the Government couldn't enforce such a law like this. Technically speaking, the bill doesn't go into effect until 2014, which means even if it gets passed, it has to survive until 2014 to even kick in (which means a new president will be elected and could actually strike it down). I may be a Republican, but we do need Health Care, but we don't need "Obama Care". [Haha, Firefox doesn't recognize Obama as a valid name]. In the case of the hospital like Franklin said, why should everyone else be forced to pay for something they don't want to be involved with? We're already paying taxes to do this, why force another fee on us? It's rather insane, and I don't know about you guys, but I'm not going to sit down at read a document that's 1,990 pages long (rough estimate, it's close to the actual page count, or so I've heard). I don't think most of the House or Senate has even read the entire bill either, it went through to fast and we're going to rush this and regret something in the future. My hope is that we elect a new president (I'm moving to New Zealand w/ Crimson if we're stupid enough to re-elect this "person" again) and/or the Supreme Court comes out and strikes the bill down, which would restart the whole process. [/rant]

I thought for awhile there RMXP.org redirected to HBGames.org, which made me think that HBGames bought out RMXP.org, but I could be mistaken...

RMXP Pool v2 Beta 2
formlesstree4 replied to formlesstree4's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
Maybe, maybe not. I'm not really sure yet. If there is, it'll be rather interesting to see how we'd pull it off, and how secure it'd be. And no problem, the program isn't always clear as to where I have it store the files, but this version handles things a lot better than it used to :) -
RMXP Pool v2 Beta 2

It should be there because the program won't knowingly glitch something like that up. I just tested it myself and it downloaded just fine, even deleted the file and tried again. It didn't error. EDIT: If it doesn't work, I can always just send you the Tileset :) -

Check your My Documents -> Downloaded Data folder. I should have placed something to let you know where it downloads. EDIT: The Button will only show that if you have in fact downloaded it. There's no other way for it to do that, literally. -

RMXP Pool v2 Beta 2

Only if a preview is supplied to it. The INI file holds URL's to two images (max), so if they're there, then it will. Also, there's some settings that will determine whether or not it will download preview images, make sure that's enabled :)
