The fact that the program doesn't always download the database is not my fault, nor is it in my control. It just depends on your Internet. If the download times out, I can't do anything about that at this time. I haven't devised a system that can check to see if the connection timed out. I'm hoping that the next release will be much more stable in terms of error handling, so forgive me for how it handles them (or the lack of handling) at this time. Keep the feedback coming guys, I want to make the next beta as stable as possible.

What are the annoying bugs? Are they the database bugs or physical program bugs?

The Final Fantasy Menu error is not mine, it comes from the database, which is evil cabbage's job. I'll be sure to inform him. I just checked the INI's on each and they're exactly identical... As for the terms..that one is quite straightforward. This is also a database error, because the terms file "10.txt" never existed, so the terms has nothing to load from. Two database errors...interesting. I'll leave cabbage a message about them, probably a typo because it looks like it should be "11.txt" rather than "10.txt". Thanks for that!

Both have been fixed and will show up in the next release, thanks Blackbound!

Thanks Pol. You did mention to me that the Download Location couldn't be changed (Don't know why, thought I added the code), so I'll look into that.

I feel so accomplished today! After quite a long time of debugging, coding, scratching my head, and throwing a fit at the compiler, RMXP Pool v2 was released! It's just the first beta of probably several before the final version is fully released  , but I'm still quite proud of it! Hope you guys check it out & use it! I want all the bug reports that you get so I can start doing fixes for it!! Oh and my web browser tutorial will be coming up shortly, I was just rather busy with RMXP Pool.

Well, the time is finally here. RMXP Pool v2 is finally at the beta stages in development. This release is not meant to be entirely stable, as I'm looking for bugs inside the program as a whole. Currently, (to my knowledge) all features work as they should, but there might be incidents where the program locks up, crashes, or does something unexpected. Current Features: Automatically Updates Database (Can alter settings to not do this) Downloads preview images and cache's them to prevent additional downloads. A full fledged Bug Report Generating System (might have initalization errors somewhere). Clean interface. Prevents you from downloading the same item twice. Like I said, this program is only a beta release, and things might change at a later date. This is really for bug fixing, but I really want you guys to enjoy the program. Current (known) bugs: Changing the download directory doesn't move the contents of your current one. Some settings may not save/load properly. The program occasionally crashes on startup (unknown reason) Evil Cabbage reported some errors with downloading preview images. The Terms button for the Scripts sometimes crashes the program, also unexplained (only affected cabbage so far) You can download it here, or the attached zip file. RMXP Pool v2 Beta 1.zip

As long as you don't come after me I generally don't do much. But take a step towards me, that axe is coming out. *quietly puts away his Desert Eagle & Axe* Todo List (Revised): 1. Still need some Dummy Dolls (They're hard to find  ) 2. Reinsert Silver Bullets into click without exploding said bullet. <_< 3. Design new trap involving a few metal spikes, a laser, and a hunk of flesh 4. Go to Home Depot for supplies. :B):
-
Hmm...let's see.... Edited Todo List: 1. Heavy Dummy Dolls (Probably should fill their innards with something sharp or hard to break teeth) 2. Get some silver. 3. Melt said silver. 4. Cover bullets in melted silver. 5. Get an axe. 6. Dip said axe in melted silver. 7. Probably should get several thick jackets and Kelvar equipment. 8. Find some Wolfsbane. Till then..my Desert Eagle, aluminum bat, and dummy dolls will have to do

  <_< Crap...now I'm gonna need a 6-pack and a few dummy dolls to escape... ToDo List: 1. Dummy Dolls 2. Ammunition 3. Red Bull (6-Pack) 4. Night Vision 5. Probably a metal bat.

Wolf, cat...same thing. You both claw at the hand that feeds you, so it doesn't matter! As for swimming, you know that I'm a competitive swimmer! But I will admit a pistol will serve me better...I am a sharp shooter after all..... I think we've scared her off...way to go werewolf. EDIT: Oh lawdy, two!?!?!? I had enough problems with just one! *sighs*, where's my Red Bull...I'm gonna need some wings for this job.
-
They work? It practically took off my leg! You could at least mark them with something! As for that werewolf thing, explain the claw marks on my door eh? I don't know about you, but no dog or cat alive can make scratches the size of my arm. *pumps shotgun* Here kitty kitty kitty...I won't hurt you badly...*snaps to* Oh right, sorry...*puts the shotgun behind his back* We're not crazy, just temporarily insane.

Also, beware of the zombie traps that are sprawled out (courtesy of Tomo2000), they tend to be rather painful when they latch on as they don't really let go. And the Gold Star Cabins come with a ZPF (Zombie Protection Force), and that costs $60 bucks a night, but it's totally worth the extra cost. And NEVER travel alone, that's when the zombies get you, never walk outside on a full moon (that's when Tomo becomes a werewolf), and don't feed the birds...they get rather violent and the next thing you know, you've got a boxing match setup between two birds over a piece of bread.

Running out of sources for help...
formlesstree4 replied to Joey's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
Lol what? Norton is the worst pile of trash out there. McAfee isn't much better either. Avast and AVG run much faster & better than those 'corporate' antivirus's. Anyone that I know that has had Norton or McAfee has gotten rid of them as soon as their license expired and moved to a free virus/firewall that actually works... Just saying from my own experience and friends experience that Norton did not stop anything from actually happening, and when it did happen, it couldn't do anything about it and simply wasted time by locking the system and then restarting by 'automatically removing the threats' and failing. -
OMG HE LIVES! And so does your computer! Welcome back mate.

He might need to do a format or a system reinstall, sounds like the Trojan deleted important system files.

Well I meant to include that, I should have been more specific. I will include those as well :) -

Simple enough. I won't try to include any fancy features (outside the back & forward buttons). -
Would I be wrong to say this is spam? I don't think so.
