  1. When I lived in the UK, I had the NHS (National Health Service), in Israel it is a little different. Let me plop the wikipedia page for you to read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthcare_in_Israel
  2. Scripture is man made, whether given to you by G-d or not, some person has written it down and translated it no doubt. At some point it has been corrupted and after a while, become antiquated.
  3. To answer your summary with my own views (as a parent). - I am a faithful person (Orthodox Israeli Jewish), but I would do everything in my power to interpret my faith in a way that would benefit my children's life and if that isn't possible, I'd take my children's life over my faith. To me, their life is more important (and I think G-d would agree there). - As a parent of children who have epilepsy (and a person with the condition also), I would never reject any life saving medical treatment, or any treatment for that fact that would help them unless I was sure it wouldn't help them or the chances of it working were too low for it to be worthwhile. - The right to faith should be allowed as long as it doesn't contravene anything to do with the law. Most religious law is that out of date it is hard to follow any more anyway and many doctrines are also a bit out of date too. - I do support the court's ruling as the parents have the responsibility to look after their children and to seek medical help when they are ill if it is available. People who believe in G-d (in Abrahamic religions) should believe in the sanctity of life, so they should seek to preserve their children's life in respect of this.
  4. I fear my epileptic seizures (along with their randomness).
  5. Ahaha, in Israel if a woman is married or has a child then she is exempt from service xD I wrote that in such an awkward way lol
  6. I hope things pick up for you Mark anyway, no need to worry about pushing GDU ahead before you are ready. We are all here still :)
  7. Well, I do actually live in Israel where we do have conscription for military service. I am lucky that my poor vision and epilepsy serve as special conditions for not being conscripted, my wife is married and has children so she too is exempt.
  8. And voted for this month! Good luck for all those in the running :P
  9. Make sure to contact him before using it though to make sure he's okay with it :)
  10. If you wish to use the soundtrack in a fangame, you would have to actually purchase the MC soundtrack from C418. It is minimum $3.99, but more if you wish to give more to him. You can get it here: http://c418.bandcamp.com/album/minecraft-volume-alpha
  11. I think if the red was a crimson instead of a burgundy, it would work much better. :)
  12. I like how after a certain point it understood that the resolution could only be possible on a phone so switches to the mobile site. That would be quite cool for GDU.
  13. I quite like that top bar, will be nice to see a live preview to see how it all works so we can give a full judgement on it. What do you guys think?
  14. The Aveyond battle system is a static side-view battle system. The battler graphics don't move, but skill animations are still played.
  15. I noticed the top bar the other day when checking out the site and I quite like it. Kellessdee also has something there, maybe some profile features within it (basic ones).
  16. Added my general location to this :)
  17. True, the evidence is circumstantial. It is a razor's edge where we stand on where to go. If you wish to do that Jon Bon, then I think you could, if you wanted to.
  18. Oh wow, it is sad when we lose members, but the death of a member is something we've never had before. Kiriashi was a good fried here indeed and was an integral part of this place. We will miss his dearly no doubt. Though he wasn't Jewish, but Christian as Tomo2000 has mentioned, I say this prayer for him, our friend: Ayl mo-lay ra-chamim, sho-chayn ba-m'romim, ham-tzay m'nucho n'chonoh al kan-fey hash-chinoh, b'ma-alas k'doshim ut'horim k'zohar ho-roki-a maz-hirim, es nish-mas Mikhael she-holach l'olomo, be-abur she-nod'vu tz'dokoh b'ad haz-koras nish-moso, b'gan ay-den t'hay m'nucho-so, lo-chayn ba-al ho-racha-mim yas-tiray-hu b'sayser k'nofov l'olomim, v'yitz-ror bitz'ror hacha-yim es nish-moso, adonoy hu nacha-loso, v'yony-ach al mish-kovo b'sholom, v'no-mae omayn. And in English for those who don't read Hebrew: Oh G-d, full of compassion, Who dwells on high, Grant true rest upon the wings of the Divine Presence (Holy Spirit), In the exalted spheres of holy and pure, Who shine as the resplendence of firmament, To the soul of Michael who has gone to his celestial world, For charity has been donated in remembrance of his soul; May his place of rest be in Gan Eden (Garden of Eden/Heaven). Therefore, may the All-Merciful One shelter him with the cover of His wings forever, And bind his soul in the bond of life. The Lord is his heritage; May he rest in his resting-place in peace; And let us say, Amen.
  19. Thank you Kellessdee, I'll try and get in the chat a lot more so hopefully I'll catch you in there soon! :)
  20. I hope that you can sort out your problems, good luck to you!
  21. As a parent, I find this quite shocking. I don't get how some people would ever dare to harm their children. :(
  22. Welcome to RMXPUnlimited, I hope you can find what you are looking for here! Enjoy your stay and if you do need anything, don't forget to ask :)
  23. I quite like these, some are quite poignant. The one on ignorance and IQ rings true very often!
  24. Hey Everyone, Just thought I would make a little post here to explain why I've not been active these past few months. The main reason, I like in Tel-Aviv Yafo and my internet isn't the greatest (even with proxies etc, to help things) so it is challenging to be on here as often as I would have liked, but I am hoping to change that soon enough and be more active once more! Secondly is that, as a person with a family, I work to provide for my family. My work involves translation so that does take a lot of my time and because of that my time here has been reduced. Speaking of family, my two sons have recently been diagnosed with epilepsy (though to what extent I do not know) due to the fact I myself have the condition. Though they've not outwardly shown any signs or symptoms yet, it is only a matter of time before they do, so I'm preparing for that so I can take care of them the best that I can. On a happier note, they are almost one year old (hooray!). Hopefully within the next few weeks, I will be on much more and try to interact with the community like I was a few months ago. If you wish to talk to me, I will be in the chatroom a bit more often so I can try and talk to you all if you wish to! (Speaking of, I just saw your message now in the chatroom Mark, sorry!) Shalom, Isaac.
