  1. Go into the script: Sprite_Characters roughly around line 47 you will see this line: @cw = bitmap.width / 4 change the 8 to an eight. Explaination: [spoiler=long] Okay, so self.bitmap = RPG::Cache.character(@character.character_name, @character.character_hue) @cw = bitmap.width / 4 @ch = bitmap.height / 4 self.ox = @cw / 2 self.oy = @ch end means it sets the character's picture in the bitmap, then the @cw equals the bitmap's width divided by 4, or in your case, 8. This divides the picture that many times, and thus, leaves your result.
  2. Not bad. Reminds me of the cheat system I built with scripting.
  3. A novel idea, but if they wanted attention for a portable version of an RPG Maker, they should do something freeform like XP (3 layers, great graphics), VX's framerate and simplified scripting, and then put it on the PSP. THis way, you can use an 8 or 16 GB memory stick and that gives not only plenty of space, but you can use the pc via USB port to upload information such as pictures and music. Plenty of space and so forth, but this still leaves one MAJOR drawback: No Keyboard. And nothing is worse than making an RPG game w/o a keyboard.

    Holy Crap!

Would of had i had the funding to do so. However, my gf's philosophy is a 40GB external that is already 95% full with her shit is enough external memory.

    Mouse Problems

USB Logitech makes a cheep one for 10-15 dollars, and it lasts roughly 1 and a half to 2 years, easy. my last one lasted 3.
  6. i love spiders, and would give you an excellent shot of a marbled orb weaver if i still had it. Not bad images. maybe in a few days i can get a good shot of a black widder for ya. Kind of a common occurence where I am from.

    Holy Crap!

Okay, that is exactly what happened to my computer. took a holy crap. I was unable to recover ANY of the work i have done in the last year, however, I do know some tricks that will get back 80% of everything I have done. I just wanted to inform everyone that sh*t sucks.

    no method error? (XP)

A no method error occurs when the script tries to call up a method that doesn't exist.so odds are, you are missing a part of a script somewhere.
  16. I found this through Marked's signature on RMXP World 3 years ago, before this site was really announced.

    Justice

For those of you who have either forgotten, or weren't around at the time, the beginning of this year, around January 3rd, a friend of mine was slain by her boyfriend. Just to recap: I work in a daycare, and I met her and her daughter, Trinity, there. Well, about 7 months of getting to know them, her mother was stabbed by her boyfriend. Not once, or twice, but over 16 times. Not with one knife, but around 7 different knives were used from her own kitchen. To make that matter worse, her daughter was home. The next day, when Trinity's grandfather stopped by to check on them, he found a trail of blood, and Trinity told him 'Mommy's a mess.' Well, as of early Sept, her murderer was brought to justice with a 16 to life sentence. The only reason he was not brought up to the life sentence or even death penalty, as he could have gotten, was a plea bargain. The bargain was that the 2nd degree felony of Domestic Violence in front of a child be dropped in exchange for a plea of Guilty. Although this may not seem fair, her family is content with this ruling. And I only pray that Trinity will never have to worry about her mother's killer on the loose when she turns 21. (16 years from now.) I only wanted to let you all know, in case you were wondering.
  18. I'm here, I just have little to nothing to report. I only speak when I find it necessary.
  19. This is a basic dungeon crawler RPG. You go through there, there are descriptions at certain locales, the works.
  20. Actually, i uploaded the .exe file. Why the hell it is in another format beats the hell outta me. Try this: http://www.2shared.com/file/7928862/c073bcfc/Wizardry_XP.html
  21. I posted a tech demo for a new system for RmXP.
  22. This is based off of the Wizardry series, in terms of the way it works. I though I'd pay homage to the game that got me started in RPGs
  23. All righty then. This is just a tech demo for my life-long dream of making an old style RPG. I put it off for quite some time, but overall, I have spent around 8 hours concocting this brew. It is essentially a First-person RPG labyrinth layout. For the record, this only has wandering around the labyrinth to get a feel of what it looks like to be in a dungeon (roughly). If anyone who is decent at graphics would like to create walls, ladders, events, etc... for me, I can send you the criteria needed for each. Now, please, enjoy. This here gives an interface of what the game will play like in the dungeon itself. It does not include, however, a battle system, shop, characters, town, or anything like that. Please, give me time and I will have all that shit ready. screenshot: Download here(652.63K) (Yeah, that's right. less than a MB. With any luck, I can finish a game under 10MB not including music)
  24. 152 downloads

All right, I thought of many different smart-ass things for this title, but none seemed appropriate. Get Lost Welcome to the a-mazing world The great wide world of grey walls Anyway, this is a tech demo of the labyrinth section of my scripted game. please, enjoy. I apologize for the lack of screenshots; but the file is small enough you shouldn't need to worry about them anyway. Essentially, just walk around with the arrow keys, and use 'Enter' to open doors. Straight-forward, no? Also, if anyone who is good at graphics sees this and wishes to do a set of walls for me, or ladders, etc. let me know. I'll give you info on what exactly is needed.
