Just wondering, what's the weirdest thing that you guys have seen said or referenced to on a forum. For me it was a post on Chaos-Project where another member refered to Blizzard (the global moderator) as "master". What's the weirdest thing you've seen on a forum?

What can I use to open the archive?

Wow, I will be surprised if people don't "jump" on an opportunity like this.

You spelt fatal wrong.

Out of curiosity, what does your business do?

@Broken Messiah What exactly do you mean?

To be perfectly honest, I actually like number 3. And, yes I think you should get your graphics person to do a recolour of the assasin, he does look like a homeless person.

My PC is actually a lot worse now. When I had this problem before, I could boot up as far as safe mode and safe mode works fine because it uses a VGA graphics driver which doesn't use my faulty card. But because Windows 7's graphics are all "tarted up" (in the bootup process), I can't even get as far as to run safe mode now. So now I can't even boot my PC in any way.

Hello all, just asking for some advice. I got my current PC nearly a few years ago. About 8 months after I got it, my PC would keep having constant every 3 second stuff-ups during games and windows aero where the whole PC would freeze, the screen would go blank for a second and then it would reappear again, and I would get the following message: Display Driver "nvrdmmn" has stopped responding and has recovered successfully. Now, it got taken to the tech support people atc Harvey Norman and it was a problem with my graphics card, which had become corrupted. It had to be sent off to get a new card so I couldn't use it for about 2 months. Anyway, luckily I have extended warranty, but something I found perculiar was the fact that it failed pretty much just after the regular warranty ran out. I thought it was just a coincidence, but I got my PC back about 8 months ago and guess what-now, eight months later, here we go again with the same problem. I still have warranty, so I could go and get it fixed again (at no charge), but it seems like I am going to get the same problem year after year.... and eventually, the extended warranty will run out So: -Should I buy a new PC? -or should I hold out with my current one? I have attached a poll. By the way, is it me, or are these PCs from Harvey Norman designed to fail? Also, my graphics card is a NVidia GeForce and I never overclock my graphics card, I don't even play high-def games that much.

This is the second utility in my line of RMXP apps - Windowskin Maker! Note, if you wish to request an RMXP utility to be made, please see this thread Basically, it allows you to put together an RMXP windowskin graphic based on image files that you select. These files are automatically resized for you and you can then export your windowskin by with only a couple of mouse clicks. Sorry, the help buttons don't do anything at the moment. Well.... I can hope.... I have two weeks of being able to do nearly diddly squat all day.

Actually, now that I think about it, I might just be able to combine the storyline and character planners. My idea is this: to allow all the "planning" apps to work with each other (e.g: you save a project in Storyline planner and you can use bits from the saved project in character designer.) To further explain what I mean, you would have "versions" of characters. When making a character version, you would be able to set how long the "version" of the character lasts. So for an example: version 1 lasts from "Y Plot Point to Z Plot Point". Also, depending on how many "planning" apps are made, I would also quite like to do some sort of "global printout" which will print everything about a particular project that you have made in the planning apps.

Cool idea! That wouldn't actually be too hard, as I would just have to make a slight mod of storyline planner.

As some of you may have noticed, I recently posted a utility that I made called Storyline Planner, the idea of this program is to help you plan out a storyline for an RMXP game. I enjoy making little RMXP utilities (as you may have guessed), so if anyone has any suggestions for utilities for me to make, please suggest them. Seriously anything. See the bottom of the post for my reasons for doing this. Programs that I plan to Make: -A Storyline Planner (Done - Available in the downloads centre) -A Character-set maker -A Windowskin Builder (that automatically resizes images and sets transparencies) (Done - Available in the downloads centre) -A Program to make event systems quickly -A program to generate names (Done - Available in the downloads centre) Programs I may Make: -A program to easily find and share RMXP games (similar to RMXP Pool, but for games.) -An RMXP Project Manager -A Tileset Maker Programs I could not make (unless I had extensive support): -A RGSS Script Generator (I know nothing about RGSS) -A Program Like Molebox - The reason I want to make all these programs: Simple, I want create a whole suite of cool utilities for RMXP that are based on what the RMXPU community wants made easier.

Storyline Planner allows you to easily create and manage a storyline for an RPG (role playing game). Your game's timeline is split into "plot points". For each plot point, you can create a 5-10 word summary of what happens in the plot point (to make skimming through the gist of your storyline easier) and you can also add a long description to the plot point which describes everything that transpires in the plot point. Once you have created all your plot points, you can then use the Storyline Planner project for reference when you actually go to make your game. -
Cool!

Storyline Planner BETA - Program in Development
evil cabbage replied to evil cabbage's topic in General Game Development
Yeah, I guess I do. -
Personally, I don't really like any of the next gen consoles. I just stuck with my PS2 and I have a gaming PC. The reason I haven't gone for next-gen consoles is because (especially with the PS3), the games can get up to $100, even more. Some computer games are also climbing up the price ladder now. The Sims 3 costs $99 where I live, for instance.

Storyline Planner BETA - Program in Development
evil cabbage replied to evil cabbage's topic in General Game Development
I used a program called Multimedia Fusion Developer 2 Thanks for the comments! -
Okay, I was slightly bored today, so I started making a program called Storyline Planner. What this software does is it allows you to plot out the main points of your story and access the various parts of your plot easily. I have finished a beta, which is at the bottom of this page. What is Integrated: -Creating Multiple "Plot Points" and switching through them. What is Still in Development: -(Complete) Saving and Opening -The ability to printout your plot. Screenshot: The beta is attached. StoryPlanner_Beta1.zip
