  4. ^ Correct. To get that wallpaper you have to extract it from .hack GU Vol.3
  5. "The Enrichment Center once again reminds you that android hell is a real place where you be sent at the first sign of defiance." Hell Vs Oblivion Hell is a place of eternal torture and everlasting pain; in Christianity, it is the ultimate punishment, but irregardless of whatever one believes in the Concept of Hell is that it is the worst punishment. Oblivion eradicates on existence, and complete oblivion erases all instances of ones existence. The issue is that in both cases the party cannot experience any pain or suffering because they cannot experience anything at all. Thus one can conclude that Hell is technically a worse place to be than Oblivion. Considering a situation where the party exists in a prior state but can expect either Complete Oblivion, Annihilation, or Hell it depends on the beliefs of that person. They are all pretty scary for different reasons.
  6. Just Got Mass Effect 1 :o; not helping the work I need to be doing.

  7. Unfortunately, I am a minimalist so I either have some kind of desktop mod, or nothing at all Furthermore, this Wallpaper isn't optimized for my desktop so its kind of weird. You simply can't get it off the internet. +1 rep for first to guess where this is from.
  8. Slightly Off Topic: Where are the Rules, on this and the new site. This be mutiny?! Do we have anarchy now? Back On Topic: Consolidation wouldn't be that bad. The amount of topics should be tied to the forum population. Feels like we've got the people of some small town, wandering around new york city or something.
  9. I think there is a more fundamental problem in society, at least american society. Things are geared to make us become unhealthy, and if those problems aren't corrected than this will all ways remain an issue. For example, healthy food tends to be a lot more expensive than unhealthy food. You can't find a value menu for quality fruits, vegetables, and meats, but your average dollar store can get you a month's worth of "food" for the same price as food for a couple days. Health choices are heavily influenced by the society and its not surprising that obesity is an epidemic in America, when every other commercial is advertising Doritos tacos or "fruit" flavored cereal. Combined with other environmental factors like pollution, euthanization is not solving the problem, not even close. Its astoundingly easy to become an alcoholic when the worlds most interesting man drinks it. And I understand that, people are responsible for there decisions, but is it fair to say that they are responsible for the situations that they might have been thrust into. Errr...Just now checked the dates on these posts...Kirhi, please be careful to not necropost. Cause then spirited people like myself might jump the gun and respond to post made more than 2 months ago. Its like joining the conversations when everyone has left.

    Great...

I would be 94% addicted to minecraft due to summer vacation if it wasn't for the fact that I lost 3 saves, and got sniped by 5 skeletons across a ravine under a mountain surrounded by lava. There is a bed in that mountain, there is also no hope of escape. Skyrim addiction is nerfed b/c after 2 play through at 7-10 fps on low res, I can't take it anymore, oh and corrupted saves that being said the DLC will soon fix that. Really, I don't get addicted unless the loss cannot be palliated by the benefit, that being said this is hard to predict and usually unreliable when comparing long term losses to short term benefit. At least I would say that if addiction was actually a rational decision, sure it is conscious but rational not at all. The best thing to do to fight an addiction is impair it. Its definitely easier to fight a weak addiction, that strengthen one's will. All incoherency aside though, I find that freedom is a mirage; we're bound by our personalities and our emotions cause we aren't rational by nature. Does that validate it? No. Personalities vary and the fact is that some people aren't able to utilize there resources on there own successfully. That's why their are people who can utilize their resources effectively to end up successful. These skills aren't necessarily shared or transferable. Successful entities in general aid less successful entities, but the success itself isn't shared. If I give money to the homeless, it doesn't guarantee they will be getting jobs. IN CONDENSED TERMS, rationally speaking, if one does not utilize his/her resources effectively, it is in fact his/her fault, BUT the conditions that influence whether or not a person is capable of doing so are entirely up to chance. There are a lot of factors in play here. Is more or less what I'm trying say here. In addition: I want to state the difference between things that are out of ones control and things that cannot be changed, for lack of a better term. The latter describes permanent factors usually the past which cannot be changed in terms of its effect on the present. The former describes factors that affect what you can do presently, such as if you live in a police state or in the ocean. These are barriers that affect what you can do, but aren't necessarily as limiting as the things that have already locked you out. Correct me if I'm wrong but In the US, child abuse/molestation will typically render you unemployable. Hence there is nothing that you can do to change that. Its also going to affect how people treat you. The choice was in your control, but now it cannot be changed. The job market itself is out of your control so you must deal with what jobs you can find that will employ you.

  12. While writing up a design document for an MMO, I ran into a conundrum. I aimed to combine an old Design Document from a team I used to work with that essentially evaporated with something that I had planned a while ago. The issue was that while they were both action battle systems when dealing with player classes I ran into a conflict. ETTC, the one from my old team, was based off of the .hack series, there was a total of 14 unique class, including a jack of all trades class that could use multiple classes. Each of these classes had mastery forms. The one I made by myself,END, was based off of kingdom hearts; the class system is eliminated entirely. Players are given a weapon similar to a keyblade that can be customized and modified to fit different roles. They can be anything from guns to scythes, and boomerangs. Players would choose to customize themselves to fit their play style. This lead me to think of the actual necessity of the class system. In ETTC, there were quest lines for the classes and lore that was class related, but even this is expendable seeing as its derived solely from the class system. RMXP Unlimited, What do you think?
  13. Awesome, thanks for your input. I think that it might be good to allow players to build armaments and defenses to defend there area. The amount of zombies in an area are limited but I will purposely limit the amount of material that could be used to kill them. Since weapons will wear down. Also due to weight they will weigh you down so getting resources might be dangerous as you are moving from one location to another. One thing I am unsure of is how the protagonist will work. As I stated previously, how you interact with other survivors will be a major aspect in the game play, therefore control of of the protagonist is critical. Therefore, you can also change the main character's name and physical features. I'm debating is choosing between a silent protagonist, and having a protagonist that talks and uses dialogue choices. The issue with choosing dialogue lies in the lack of a HUD, I'm aiming for hyper realistic First person so I'm unsure how I would even show the choices.
  14. I want FFvsXIII heard a rumor that it might become FFXV but it seems pretty sketch, Kingdom Hearts 3 Does not come until we get FFXV and FFXV is supposed to be the intermediate b/w KH2/BBS/3DS and KH3 in terms of Gameplay Step it up Nomura :o
  15. Tranquility park is a single player first person action-adventure survival game that I plan to develop using either the Crytek 3 engine or Unreal Engine 3, when I am able to acquire the resources and the know how to do so. This topic is a dicussion to help me brainstorm ideas. Rest assured these ideas if used will be credited on request. I simply want to gauge how good my idea might seem to people other than myself who believe this is the best thing since slice bread. That is because I love criticism and I am party insane. The game is set up similar to the games Mirror's Edge, Left for Dead, and Minecraft in the following ways I will out line. Mirror's Edge *The main character you play as has the knowledge of parkour and uses it to survive in a zombie infested city. *Weapons are a secondary focus, in order to use guns you have to find them and supply them with ammo yourself. Left 4 Dead *Their is a Coop version of the game which entails zombie survival but is seperate from the main storyline. *Zombie dynamics are quite similar *while there are no super zombies/special infected noises will attract zombies, gun shots will also attract zombies Minecraft *Not everything is craftable but a lot of things are *players have to deal with not only starvation, but infection (for which there is a temporary vaccine), thirst, sleep, exhaustions and even weather conditions. special note on status: infection occurs when scratched and or bitten by a zombie; or when infected fluids come in contact with open wounds. an infection is cured with a "vaccine" actually just a treatment that can be obtained or later created if you find the scientist. The cure only eliminates the instance of infection, if infected again the player will have a limited time before they die and become a zombie in which came the game ends exhastion will affect your sprinting which is usually very long and your strength which determines how good you are at grappling things ,balance, and melee combat exhaustion is affected by sleep, hunger, thirst, and infection overexhaustion will lead to passing out which usually leads to immediate death (depends on if their are other people around; or if there is a medic etc.) weather will also affect you: lower balance when raining do to slipping, which can make u slip and fall when on the edges of buildings or walking across pipes. higher thirst and exhaustion when thirsty. Windy conditions muffle sound as does rain wind lowers balance slightly, zombies can't smell dont worry about it. Zombies tend to be inside when in is rainy or windy however Unlike minecraft, TP is restricted to a city, the objective of the game is to find some way to escape with enough resources to be sustainable with your group of people. In coop survival or normal survival you also have to build this sustainable area and later defend it from zombie onsalughts. Simliar to Skyrim, every choice has a consequence, however everyone can be killed, not only that but the player will have to answer to their decision. There are only 10 survivors in the city, a few of which must be found, each with intricate background and relationships between you and each other. If you cause someone to get infected and die, the other people will remember it and treat you differently for it. Lastly the game is 100% in first person. There are no in game menus, not even a splash screen, all if it is incorperated into the eyes of the main character The main chracter is completly customizable to the player as well. the pause menu will be achieved through the main character's phone. Which will slow down and "freeze time" so to speak as the menu is displayed. when a selection is made the menu will momentarilly resume normal time this is because the menu is not actually freezing time; rather than having a real time menu in story mode, which could lead to disaster the freezing effect is because its capturing the instance at which the character is staring at the screen this does not apply in survival or coop survival mode. And well thats as much as I've got so far that I have typed here so if anyone cares to read this block of highly offensive appearing unformatted block of text ("cause it is quite ugly to look at") i would appreciate a response

Is Modern Warefare 3 good? I'm kind of aprehensive to get it since I got Mw2 and Black ops and I feel like I'm being baited. Wyzrd You know I'm on that PS3, at least when I come home from Chicago on break. Plus Skyrim is shutting down my life right now...
