I'm off uni from the end of October until the last week of February. So nearly 4 months, however hopefully I'll have my hands full with web site work otherwise I'll have to go back to a factory job for money T.T waking up at 4am 6 days a week isn't for me. Though its nice to have the luxury of guaranteed work (coz i worked at this particular place last summer and they told all us part-timers to come back coz we were the best part-time team they ever had. Boom.) Law firms are too shallow for me to attempt an internship.. I much prefer to work at home and get paid for my hobby :D

Yeah that's up in the air at the moment, at least until uni finished in November. This is true. :) I actually went to fix this a few hours and it turns out that the problem I thought it was actually wasn't the problem and therefore I was like 'meh' and closed it coz like i got the study to do right, but if i start to procrastinate, ill take a closer look. Maybe. Man im hungry...

That could be a while.. I could upgrade the forums but then I'd have to skin it again. And I've also given up doing that admin stuff *looks at sidebar* just the owner now. I highly recommend nagging at Kiriashi and Pol to get stuff done. Highly recommend.

Worked for the last 5 years :ph34r: If I am correct then it will go away as soon as you refresh. Only one person in the world can possibly see it because it has appeared client-side in that one browser on that one page. Also, I don't like working in IPB and I'm not familiar with their code. I install very few mods and mostly make my own on the website. Basically to fix a 'default' forum error would take me a long time, and I'm not even admin anymore. Of course I'd fix a major issue, but even this forum software is outdated and perhaps all it would take to fix is upgrade. I guess that's the typical response of someone who doesn't have a lot of time...

After you see the error page, when you return is the status gone? It may well delete but then take you to an error page. Also, when you update your status it appears all ajaxly. Ie it inserts a row into the database but just displays what you typed and after you refresh, it will show whats in the database. So technically you could get 2 statues temporarily.

That is an interesting question. The criminal law textbook I have starts off buy saying that a crime should involve some kind of social stigma, and the more serious the crime (in law), the more morally wrong it should be. It is even (part of) a defense if you did not know your actions were wrong. For me, downloading software the requires payment is not morally wrong at all. The person who receives the money is not losing out because I'm not going to pay for it anyway. Secondly, what is a 'fair trade'? Sure a person should be compensated for his work, but what if that work, once finished, can be duplicated an UNLIMITED amount of times when they only did the work to create it once? Of course this did not hold for many things because the original author is not compensated fully until a great deal of sales is reached. In terms of movies, I boycott theaters because of movie ticket prices and the industry's profit maximizing attitude. Apple too. Screw them. I've downloaded 20gb of movies in the last week and it feels gooooood.

I got bored so I watched like 12 episodes. I couldn't really get into that much either, I just wasn't compelled to watch further.

Lets just say that no where is a certainty and the only thing you can do is reduce the risk. Chances are your screwed anyway. In our quakes there was a family in a brick house. One guy run outside (was close to the door) and got crushed. The others got under a table and the bricks crushed them. They all died. If something heavy is gona hit you then its likely the whole place is coming down and you're gona need some luck. No, you mean New Zealand :pinch: We are on the boundary of 2 tectonic plates (the pacific and the indo-Australasian or something). We're on the ring of fire. Australia is sitting pretty in the middle of a plate and rarely gets quakes. Though they do get quakes and have had devastating ones.
