To me it is just a spam thing, so that explains what is bad about it. We all know what spam is. The original poster thing only goes so far... what is the point of a topic, or a forum? To help people, usually. Unless its critique on the original post then the rest of the posts that follow should help visitors who are looking for that information. For example the server error in RMXP when you don't have an internet connection or something. That topic is timeless to a point, members posted their various solutions, the topic died, but it continues to get many views and it continues to help new users who get RMXP. If someone comes along and posts 'thanks, this really helped' after 1 year, its pretty pointless and more or less spam. However if they post another solution to the problem, then more members will get value from it.

The project cards are kinda buggy unfortunately... try generating a card again and see if it works. Also, which browser are you using? I just tested editing topics with a member account and the permissions are set correctly. Do you get an error of some kind when you click 'edit' or does the edit button not show up at all?

Ah i see i see. Yup we're pretty lenient, but then again we don't often need to be strict. We still act when members break the rules.

You can necro post if it adds value to the topic, as stated in the rules. I probably wouldnt have a problem with someone necro posting in an old support topic. Its like a sub-class of spam really, coz its pointless and unnecessary.

Mad for advertising? Nah, I dislike members joining for the purpose of advertising, but its not technically against the rules so it doesn't matter. Though I'm going to move this topic to the Cafe.

Hi all, It has been approximately 2 months since the 'Latest Requests' hook was released on the forums board index. If you do not know what the latest requests hook is, read this topic: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/5784-latest-requests/ I'm looking to get some feedback on it, whether to improve it or possibly remove it. You guys, you're not supposed to use your own voice. The guy who makes family guy does 3 characters. By the way Enigma, I have a voice acting section planned as a future component. It makes it easier to request voice actors and easier for members to upload them. But thats not for ages, just saying.. :)
