If you guys can get enough resources released, I'll create a resource team usergroup. But frequency is more important than quantity in terms of whether a usergroup is necessary.

Yes but as long as it is organized and the team does produce work regularly. Also if this were to be done, I think I'd prefer to mark these resources as exclusives, because of course we have very little. To mix them amongst our large collection of random uncredited resources would make the resource team pointless. Do you agree? Because there would be no difference from working hard on creating resources, and collecting and uploading them.

Ok I'm going to call it now as it has been a couple of days. The poll may affected past this point, by the decision is No, 6 votes to 5. I thought health insurance in america means you don't have to pay ridiculous amounts to get treated at the doctor. I watched the documentary Sicko by Michael Moore. From what I learned from that documentary (and i start the sentence with that because it is not necessary true) the american health care industry takes advantage of people and is really shocking(especially when you compare it to another counties). So yeah, I'm all for it. I think that a country should give its citizens free health care.

Just an update on this... I'm going to postpone this component for a while, probably a long while. The reason is that instead I'm attempting one of my biggest projects yet, a universal skinning project. I'm planning to move away from this almost-trademark forum skin of ours. I have a design in mind, and hopefully it will look alright. This includes an identical website skin too. However this may take a while also because all my assignments and tests are coming up all at once, and I imagine I'll be doing a good few all-nighters. I'll have to set aside a few days and do it all in one go. So yeah, that's what's hopefully going to be happening. Look forward to it :)

RPG Maker VX has been released in English for just over 2 years now, so I think you'll find there are plenty of resources out there.

I have never heard of this error... What you can do is open up your tileset in photoshop or whatever and make the background transparent, and then make your transparency color 50% transparent. So its exactly the same as setting the transparency in RMXP, except when you import it (or just past it in the folder) it will not ask you to set the transparency color. Perhaps that's a work around.

I saw this one your site a while ago... I'm going to take a wild guess... Does it assign terrain tags to events?

That's odd. The link goes to an application which I uninstalled, so that explains the error. The link goes to the wrong place. Which is odd because the two links to the points system work for me. Can you tell me where exactly that link is?

I'll try get an html version up on friday which will simply display what the rmxp-style shop will look like. We'll discuss the design in this topic and change it if needed. Just because the inbox sized is defined per usergroup and not per member, it may very difficult for me to do. To be honest I'm very bad with this forum software, I don't particularly like the framework so it's difficult for me to go and alter the code. But I'll try anything. I will however review all the ideas of this topic, so i not ruling it out.

Interesting. From the world ranking, its pretty clear that it's calculated by the site alexa. Their rankings are only calculated by users who are using their alexa toolbar. Also the further up the list we are (600K at the moment) the more inaccurate it is. And at 600K, it's not so accurate(in terms of worldwide rankings) Also the cost, or how much this site is worth, differs depending on what site you use to calculate it. On one site you could get $100, on another $6,000, etc. In your post you said our cost is 118,656.56 $ ? In my dreams :) I use google analytics to monitor the stats of the site. I can tell you that our "development"(however this is calculated) is much like a wave, crests and troughs. It goes up and down, not steadily up unfortunately. And the last thing I'll say is that the last point on your graph is consistent with my google analytics graph. This is why we compete statistically with other sites, but the reason why it is that high is not positive. My real goals for this site will never be a statistical number. :yes: Oh also, the value of the site will probably never reach the value it is worth to me, having spent 4 years on it. I wouldn't sell it for many thousands, so it will never be sold.

We need to know what everything thinks of a move to IRC, so please post on whether it is preferred over our current chat system. If there is not clear winner, I think we can setup up a poll. @isaacsol: Do we need to use an IRC client to connect to that channel? (i obviously don't know much about IRC) Also, we actually used to the same site for our chat, immediately before the new chat system was installed. You will find that most of the administrative decisions are left to me, so you don't need to say administrative team. The main deciding factor on whether we make the switch to IRC is whether it is going to be used more than the current chat system.

I'm sure I'll be able to make it so you can buy things for your profile. We were talking in chat and come up with the idea for a RPG Maker XP Shop styled shop. Although it may look a little lame being built with html and php, it won't be as interactive using just he mouse. What do you guys think?
